81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: July 23, 2018, 05:17:04 PM
ROFLMFAO!!! Looks like a maybe, glad I held off for the moment

W0w, talk about going to shit! Polo market down to
Total:
211.52122082
BTC

got dumped from .0181X to .0177

Binance still has good support. I think Polo will end up Delisting soon.

Poloniex once has been Monero, and Monero almost exclusively. Saved their asses on their recovery following a hack. Doubt they will ever drop it. Goldman would have to apply regulatory pressure upon the operations team.
Those 211 BTC come close to moving 2110 BTC back in 2016, the "size" of 1 BTC has changed.
82  Economy / Speculation / Re: I bought at 19k, now what? on: March 30, 2018, 06:18:35 AM
I bought 3 btc on credit for 19k about. What should I do? I am way underwater.

if you buy bitcoin when the price is 19k and now the price of the bitcoin collapsed then all you can do is wait, wait for the price to go back up or if you do not want to wait then you can play altcoin to grow bitcoin you have.

2017 in particular has been a watershed year for many cryptocurrencies. Bitcoin (BTC) increased in price from $997.69 on January 1st
Consider cutting your losses.
83  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: KYC: Bitstamp wants to know how much I'm making on: March 28, 2018, 07:26:12 PM
It's especially shocking that I've only done a very few trades with Bitstamp. I did way more trades with bitcoin.de or Kraken, and they ahev'nt asked anything. I'm still checking a few things, but I think I will close my account.

Either you close it yourselfes, or they are closing down your account? Sounds like Asterix Pirates sinking their own ship as a service Smiley

I would not falter. But for sure reduce the amount at stake, asap. Doing smaller trades, doing them more often.
What I would like to know if there are any "wrong answers" on their questions? Did they finally signalled that they did not liked your answer?
84  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is bitcoin price again touch the 1000$ ? on: February 01, 2018, 06:11:28 PM
The price is decided by people just like you and I, within the free market. If the overall opinions of bitcoin's value change so drastically then anything is possible. I do not however think that this will happen. If you look back as far as 2013 BTC's value was at $1k. Bitcoin and cryptos as a whole have come a long way since those times and the value really should reflect that. Adoption and overall exposure has grown a lot in the past years.

These overall opinions seemed to be moveable by some single shitty Bloomberg posting printed on paper! Citing outdated news.
Gentlemen, we are all fucked up.
$133 Billion January losses
85  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase - are you serious on: December 23, 2017, 12:36:26 PM
Come on Coinbase - you must allow people to withdraw their money and not make it impossible to contact you!! WHAT IS GOING ON. IF YOU WANT TO KEEP ON TAKING MONEY FROM NEW CUSTOMERS YOU MUST ALLOW EXISTING CUSTOMERS TO WITHDRAW THERE FUNDS!!
Spend last days trying to signup/register on several new trade sites.
Most of them choking on that. Each feature their own defence strategies against new customers.
Some are hiding behind support replys for weeks now.

Looks like Mt.Gox again.

Hi Krauss!

Thx for your time on this forum. I am wondering if you do verifications during the weekend? I just signed up and have a pending verification. Do I have to wait until monday or tuesday to get the verification thru?

How can I also change my home currency to EUR

Thank you!

How did you managed to sign up/logging in?!!

"You are signing in from an unconfirmed IP address. Please check your Inbox for further instructions."
These emails now never arrive.
Next they will tell you "checking the spam folders" but that advice is probably only suited for the newbies.
IP changes are Fake Security anyways. There is no such thing as IP based security. Everybody knows that.

What is your opinion on Coordinator source code release dates? Does the TA seems to preceede a distinct date this month of 12/2017 ?
So far found no announcement regarding any releases, picked up the news on reddit.

89  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: At which price would BTC get te currency we use, instead of $,€,... ? on: December 03, 2017, 03:10:41 PM
Price doesn't matter, it's more up to the big merchand brands to accept BTC. Talking Ebay, Amazon.

They could do today, regardless of price or current fees. A simple thought, setup on available technology. For example if you use Amazon, you make purchases on a regular shedule. Buying things every month, or some unregular intervall of some weeks.
Like a credit card, but slightly different way around.
Loading up a ballance at Amazone, like transferring $100 value and buying $49.95 item. Remains either paid out as a "voucher" or staying onsite at Amazon.
The idea is to reduce the number of payment transfers neccessary, to reduce overhead.
90  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Isit worth withdrawing $20 in Bitcoin on: December 03, 2017, 03:05:29 PM
I run a full node with a couple of wallets, so I'm not too bothered about the storage, and I don't plan to spend it, I'll just add it to my Bitcoin savings.
Your setup looks legit, on an own node you can send BTC on really low fees (setup manually) and just wait until it arrives. Mempool occasionally runs low enough for these slow transactions to get through.

However, grab the money now. Time will not work for you or your $20
91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LSK] Lisk | Blockchain Application Platform for JavaScript Developers on: November 24, 2017, 06:19:21 AM
We had over 150 attendees at our co-working space and more than 17,000 views of our #livestream! Thanks to everyone who worked hard to make it happen and tuned in. And a special thanks to #WeWork for hosting us. Our next live stream will be on February 20. Save the date!

Nobody could say this has been the worst event in LSK history. Actually been the best from streaming, talks, informations, attendance.
That 02/20/2018 got duly noted, slight setback on plans. Never the less, we'll make it!
92  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin segwit2x continue? on: November 17, 2017, 01:19:19 PM
The magic block was supposed to be 494,784 and it was mined 11 minutes ago....

Something popped up on Yobit called YOB2X
Could be related to an altcoin fork event?
93  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy BTC at 6500 or wait to go lower? on: November 13, 2017, 11:05:00 PM
I am still trying to find a legit site, with no cut throat fees, to buy BTC for USD.

What are you guys using? Any suggestions??

No one will give you advice. You must learn to make such decisions yourself. I think that now you can buy bitcoin in order to sell in a few years. But I do not call on anyone to do this.

They are not so difficult to find

https://www.gdax.com/
https://www.kraken.com/
https://www.bitstamp.net/
https://gemini.com/

Not sure if at the current moment it would be a smart choice storing the newly purchased bitcoins onsite, or withdrawing them immediately. Some sites have technical trouble like Kraken. Withdrawals can get difficult.

What's up with the new wallet release from today? Final step of the reclaim process probably?
Seen the IRI release got a --rescan flag added, no database deletion this time.
Downloading updates now.
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA on: November 09, 2017, 04:35:36 AM
so the current price increase of IOTA results from Fujitsu Forum 2017? Am I right?
What is the probability IOTA will come back to ATH? Or is it contemporary pump. I'm asking cause I am not IoT expert, I like the tech though.

Every decent altcoin increases in price today. Don't try to find specific reason in IOTA. You will likely make a wrong attribution.

Segwit was cancelled, so every alt is increasing now

No, Segwit wasn't cancelled today. You are ill informed.
97  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will crash ? on: November 04, 2017, 12:02:32 PM
Hi guys, as you all know that hard fork date is coming near which will divide the Bitcoin in 2 parts Bitcoin and Bitcoin gold , what you think it will crash the btc and it will go to how much price
Actually, i didn't get the question. Are you asking if btc gold would crash the bitcoin and how much price will it go? What's the point though? Btc Gold is now over $100 a piece and I don't think it affects bitcoin. I don't know if my answer makes any sense, but I honestly don't find any sense in your question either  Grin

Yeah dude the question is confusing, bitcoin gold will not directly affect the price of bitcoin. Bitcoin price is still rising and if bitcoin price went down it does not mean that it is crashing its just doing a price correction.

There are to many forks out there, if that Segwit2x takes place I am counting four of relevance. The most recent Bitcoin Gold fork might end up in the gutter, because it lacks any support for dedicated mining equipment.
ASIC resistance mainly ends up in botnets getting abused for mining. And follow that path of thoughts to it's end. Two clicks on Wikipedia and Wikileaks will tell you our desktops are no more secure than opened gates at the meadow. Botnet mining on Bitcoin Gold would become a desease of a magnitude that the public outcry would wash away any progress archived today. No more any acceptance anywhere, just hostility against bitcoin.
We need to stick with dedicated mining equipment.
If Segwit2x eventually never happens because of people getting back to reason, we might just see two forks remaining instead of four as threatened today. All about limited supply. If the scene starts printing new blockchains like paper bills this concept dies out, and frankly that's been everything bitcoin has been about.
98  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bad Yobit Experiences ? on: November 02, 2017, 03:04:03 AM
Don't know if it's just me but I've just about given up on this exchange..

When a coin updates it's wallet it takes weeks before Yobit will update theirs making deposits and withdrawals very difficult..

I've had a couple of occasions when after buying a coin, Yobit immediately sold it again at approx 25% loss..  I don't run a bot or any other auto-buy/sell programme.

most times the pages don't auto-update after a trade, meaning a manual refresh..

Support is absolutely atrocious...  support tickets are never answered..

troll-box is full of shysters trying to rip people off... Roll Eyes Roll Eyes  Troll-box can't be turned off or minimized..

Nova Exchange is Closing
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2335646.0

Cryptopia owes me 100k+USD or 1.2 million CSC -> Trading of non existing coins  (Read 1359 times)
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2248106.msg22721260#msg22721260

Yobit indeed seldom updates wallets
(as seen above)
My own experience: Withdrawal stuck forever. Weeks later suddenly arrived, however. No coins lost.

We are running low on tradesites for small coin projects. Cryptopia could be closing sooner than Nova does, allready running on fractional reserve and broken database backends, and Yobit lacks the admins in their team to take over these market shares.
Safe bet just the big tradesites will survive and a handfull of altcoins remain tradeable.
99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nova Exchange is Closing on: October 31, 2017, 12:50:28 AM
yes i also received an email from nova exchange , they tell me about their exchange will close soon ,

it is shock me when i know this news because novaexchange doing well until now.
Does anybody know the reason for closing? why would exchange be closing if they are doing well, especially in times when trading volumes and volatility is so high?

Quoted in the beginning, sale of the site, new owners

Quote
Kindly note "Novaexchange" will have new owners and management effective April 2018, with major upgrades to the exchange to better handle scaling, stability and security.
http://novaexchange.com/news

So just withdrawing anything onto other sites, maybe returning later when the new management seems capable. Not a real issue.

I've also stated before that there is no waiting list, because it can be a hassle to keep updated with people no longer being interested/going inactive. When slots open, I generally wait 1-2 days before picking someone so just apply in that timeframe.
Exactly the same happened to me, and when seeing just three days ago you added more workforce I decided to move my idle application to the current page of the thread, and deleted the old posting. Simple as that.
In a way postings right inside this timeframe can be seen as some sort of a list.
