Regarding the technical part of Bitcoin, I can recommend the book "Mastering Bitcoin" from Andreas Antonopoulos. It gives a great insight view of Bitcoin. On social media I used to check the r/Bitcoin Reddit, but I think it does take too much time to filter good from bad topics. In my opinion twitter is the better source to get news if you find some people to follow who have good knowledge in this space. I'm also subscribed to the Bitcoin Dev Mailinglist and some Bitcoin github projects to learn about new stuff happening with Bitoin. Awesome! Thanks, I have the book. And I will take your advice to follow some people as you advise (if you dont mind me asking, who do you follow?). Subscribing to the mail lists, and github - I'd really like that too. Not only ICO, China shut down all the exchanges, fuck them retard gov. We lost money from bitcoin dump.
You only lost if you sold at the dip. If you did, i should thank you cause I was able to buy more at a good price this trick sometime doesn't work. some altcoin die and will never comeback. maybe sometime you need cutloss and invest to another coin True, but i'm confident NEO for example will survive I am interested. Mind to share more about your thoughts on this? Why do you think so? |

If the Ethereum developers don't reach the majority of people when they plan to do a hardfork, there is a big chance, that the network will fork.
But even if the chain forks, this does not mean, that the old chain can survive.
If you don't have a developer team which continues to work on the old version or people who are willing to keep the old chain alive, this old chain will become obsolete after some time.
The biggest problem with a fork is, if you have 2 or more parties who disagree with the changes. Even when everyone is OK with the new version, you might get a fork because some people are not aware of the new version. But after some time they will identify them self on a more or less dead chain and will switch.
I think a real fork, where both sides survive is more a political problem than a technical one. Bitcoin is the best example for this.

And then just let the dev know you would like to join the airdrop and put your ethd address in there. That is it and just sit back and wait for your coins to come. Like I said it could be a couple of days. awts.. i just sent my ethd address and said "I want to join the Airdrop" means i'm not qualified because i din't said airdrop # 2.  or should i send it again?  I think you should be okay because the dev will see that you have just sent the message now, so the dev will know it is for airdrop #2 because of the date when you sent the message. Don't send another message as the dev already has hundred's of messages he needs to get through. Thanks! Quick question: will it suffice to only send the wallet id, or I need to append the extended public key as well? |

As I say everyone on here quite rightly want to see the likes of BTC increase exponentially over the coming years, however we're all excited by the whole crypto thing. Are we therefore at risk of looking at the whole thing through rose tinted glasses, basing our hopes on the increases of the last few years that, surely, can't continue?
I know you haven't invested yet, but you're on the right path. You're correct to be pessimistic, and you're correct to assume that everyone here wants Bitcoin value to rise. People here tend to be more positive towards people compared to the general population, so you should take everything with a grain of salt. You should, then, do your own research, read up on both sides of the coin (pun intended), and form your own judgement. I'd personally encourage you to invest though! hi i am a btc and blockchain enthusiast, and I would like to learn what you think about the increasing scrutiny from regulators (as opposed to the seemingly openness last year and early this year), as well as the bank of international settlement cautioning all regulators to see cryptocurrencies as a threat (i assume that has something to do to its own existential considerations). What is your thoughts on this? Keen to learn more from the community. Thanks in advance! |

In every ICO I always ask myself at least 2 questions:
-What will cause a market demand for the coin so the price can go up?
-What will convince people not to sell it once ICO ends so the price will not drop?
Can someone give me short answer on this two?
I can try answering these two questions for you: - there are a lot of people that want to invest in real estate, but can't because they don't have the funds to purchase property, take care of fees, management etc. REAL lowers this barrier, so proper marketing would enable them to tap into that market. The demand is already there. - they already have their eye on a first property to acquire. When they add properties to the platform and people can actually use the REAL tokens, that will prevent large dumps, because the REAL platform only accepts REAL tokens. This last point deserves some elaboration, because it's a very important one. When you actively participate on the REAL platform and buy RPPs (ownership in property), your REAL tokens will essentially be 'locked-in' that property. You only get them back if/when you sell them the RPP back. On the other hand, if you want to keep your investment and continue to invest in more/different properties on the platform, you will first have to buy more REAL tokens. In other words: the supply decreases and the demand increases, which translates into price increase. Needless to say, adding attractive properties to the REAL platform is going to determine the success of this project. Do you have any info on which property they want to aquire? It would be interesting if REAL would post info about echt property they are getting and investors can give input on it thanks for the exchange, very informative. A quick question: say if i would like to sell RPP after some time, will there be a liquid market to sell? (does it function similarly as a REIT?) Will it be possible that the real property is gaining value, while in the REAL system it might fall due to a lack of reflexive market on the platform? Also, is there any restriction/clause governing any lock-in period for any properties? Thanks! |
