81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Ethereum? on: January 21, 2018, 10:20:25 PM
I think this is because how Ethereum gets better and better as years passed by. Ethereum shows us such promising campaigns that will makes be involved in this coins. It also showed it is a great coin. Ethereum builts its reputation has years passed by and it makes more people trust them completely. It is now second to bitcoin and we are not sure whether it surpasses it or not.

One reason to be optimistic about Ethereum over Bitcoin includes the fact that it is, as it stands, the “most widely used” and most stable network. Investors shifting funds to Ether is similar to what we would call a ‘flight to safety’ in traditional markets. Well known users of cryptocurrency expects that, "Ethereum will continue to grow not only in its value, but in the number of Dapps that are built on its platform. It will scale well this year, making it a “better place to be” over cryptocurrency darling Bitcoin–and that it will continue to show resilience."

Ethereum rise is not astonishing given how advanced its technology is. It is more effective than BTC as blocks (records of transaction) are created much quicker. It was originally designed as an improvement over BTC, so it allows third party apps, cryptos to run on the its blockchain network. Other than that money and other forms of data can be stored on in its network as well. Other than general crypto currency boom is there is make things going for it as well.

If Ethereum's supply is infinite, why does it enjoy a $112 billion+ market cap?

its because eth is one of the promising coin. so, even eth in down now, they will be up tomorrow and maybe be a better than now.

Hope is worth a $112 billion+ market cap? Seriously?

Ethereum is a solid coin and it's already proved in last year. it can achieved another mile stone this year of $2000.

86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Ethereum? on: January 21, 2018, 07:24:29 PM
I think Ethereum is the second great crypto-currency after Bicoin. The main advantage of this crypto currency is its openness and security. You can work with Ethereum on almost any platform - smartphone, PC. Ethereum is protected from third-party interference and hacker attacks. To date, this is one of the most promising crypto currencies with growing demand.

ETH is very stable and it's constantly rising

If by stable you mean it's as secure as a screen door on a submarine then, yes, it's "stable" ...

Well, Ethereum is a very good coin, making it easy to create tokens, and is also supporting smart contracts, it's much better than bitcoin. The number of tokens on it should give you a pretty good idea why.

With higher and higher per-transaction costs, tens if not hundreds of millions trapped in a bottleneck of transactions as well as hundreds of millions already stolen because it's about as secure as the Mexican border? Really?
89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Ethereum? on: January 21, 2018, 07:07:09 PM
Ethereum has being one of the most use coin for ICO. Ethereum is popular because it allow other projects be built on its protocol and such projects use Ethereum for their ICO sales.

But they're all vaporware ...

Since when is vaporware worth $112 billion+ market cap?
90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Ethereum? on: January 21, 2018, 07:05:55 PM
This year will be Ethereum Year might as well join the ride. Blockchain adoption is very fast and cryptos are evolving every year. But eventually Ethereum could rise it price. I think Ethereum this year will be 10,000usd

With all the problems it has and all the hundreds of millions that's been stolen on it? Really?

91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Ethereum? on: January 21, 2018, 01:57:19 AM
Like it or not it has become the reserve currency for icos and is slowly displacing btc on exchanges as a trading pair. Moreover, it has the history and brand recognition, a star developer and its platform is used for lts of apps. It’s not perfect, it has bugs. I am actually not a big fan and think there are many up and coming alternatives but we’re obviously not there yet.

So, basically, she's the most popular girl in school ... got it ...

Extra capabilities. Please read the Ether paper at the official site.

94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC or ETH in 2018 on: January 21, 2018, 12:45:03 AM
Bitcoin or Ethereum, Which of these coins will rule in 2018?

None. Neither have intrinsic value.

They're the fidget spinners of crypto.
95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any new airdrop coins? on: January 21, 2018, 12:44:17 AM
I make this thread for new (free) airdrop coins.

I bet a lot of people miss big opportunities (like decred where you get over 1.5 btc for free at that time or node or other coins).

Because not every can look every day at all new threads.

So when you see a coin with a airdrop, than feel free to write it here.
So we will maybe dont miss any airdrop coin anymore.  Smiley

Saske has a monthly airdrop: https://goo.gl/ur642k
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top Altcoins in 2018 on: January 21, 2018, 12:39:51 AM
Hello Everyone. I believe that 2018 is the rising of Altcoins.
my top picks for 2018 are as follows:

1. Cardano (ADA), the project behind the ADA coin, offers a blockchain environment that supports financial applications in an efficient and secure way. It boosts an architecture that has both users and regulators in mind, an unusual set up. Cardano ($ADA) could come to offer e-commerce providers a structure where they can operate with the benefits of the blockchain while obeying by the rules of the regulators overseeing them.

2. Electroneum ( ETN) is a mobile cryptocurrency which is powered by a mobile app. Electroneum promises to become the first digital coin to have general usage by its groundbreaking ease-of-use for the common mobile user.

3. STORM is an ERC20 compliant token operating on the Ethereum blockchain.

Storm will use the blockchain to expand their platform to create StorMarket, a decentralized micro-task marketplace economy. StorMarket will be a place where people can go to utilize their skills and talents to complete various tasks. In addition, automation via blockchain technology will allow for all of the project management and marketing aspect of a micro-task to be integrated into the platform.

4. Stellar (XLM) is a distributed, hybrid blockchain that is fully open-source. It is infrastructure that exists to facilitate cross-asset transfers of value, including payments. With just one integration into the Stellar Network, you will join an open, global financial network where all actors – be they people, payment networks, or banks – have equal access & economic participation.

5. EOS(EOS) is similar to a decentralised operating system, in practice this means that developers can build applications on EOS. Owning EOS coins is a claim on server resources. A developer needs to have EOS coins to use the EOS blockchain.

What are your thoughts about this, Can you share your top 5 picks too?

In no way should you ever put your cash into something which does not posses intrinsic value. Of every crypto out there, none of them do except one.
97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Altcoins fall when Bitcoin Falls on: January 21, 2018, 12:36:46 AM
I am trying to understand why altcoings are fall. Is there any way to see altcoin prices independent from Bitcoin? If demands are get higher for an altcoin while Bitcoin falls, do you think altcoin will get more value. I am newbie and trying to understand.

Simply because none possess intrinsic value; with the exception, of course, of one.
98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you had 7500$, what would you buy? on: January 21, 2018, 12:33:14 AM
So if you had 7500$ what would you buy?
The only condition is, it must be below Top 20.
I would hold it for 5-12 months.
Thank you for your sugestions!

Under no circumstances should you put your hard earned cash into anything that does not have intrinsic value. Of all the cryptos you can buy, no one does except for one.
99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: why all coins are dropping? on: January 21, 2018, 12:30:25 AM
any body know the reason for current drop?

Because none have intrinsic value.
100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Should I do as a newbie? on: January 21, 2018, 12:29:44 AM
I'm Hoeda From Indonesian. I just tried to join today.
First I saw the enthusiasm of my friends in the village who had already mined bitcoin. About 3 years ago, my friend once invited me to join him.
but I refused, because at that time I was studying and working in one of the bona fide companies.
so I do not have time to spare.
and now I have graduated from my college.
then yesterday I accidentally saw my friend on Social Media, he has been successful with his efforts. I started chatting with her, she said her success was due to bitcoin.
after that I am more curious and interested to join to bitcoin.
many new things that I have not known here.
Now what should i do as a newbie and howto get bitcoin BTC ?

I hope the members who have long joined here can share his experience.
success for all of us!!

Never put your hard earned money into anything that does not possess intrinsic value. Of every the crypto available on the market, none do but for one.
