81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your favorite coin for investment on: October 19, 2017, 03:55:53 PM
BTC, the only one that matters.  If it fails then the whole things falls apart.  This is reinforced time and time again whenever BTC takes a dip and everyone sells everything off thinking this is the end.
82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you do to earn btc and altcoins? on: October 18, 2017, 05:11:05 PM
Trading.  Once you figure out how markets work you can make a living doing that.  Though not everyone is good at it and in order to have a chance of becoming good it takes a lot of time with trial and error.
83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Key points to consider before investing in ICO (share your experience) on: October 18, 2017, 05:09:31 PM
First thing you should do is figure out if it's a scam or not. Who are the people behind it, research them thoroughly.  Then go do the other stuff of white papers and use cases etc.
84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what will stop this token rush? on: October 15, 2017, 04:48:29 PM
Ethereum is a platform. The market (investors) have to regulate the rush. If they only buy the ones which are trusted and worthwile, the rest will disappear.
Exactly, time will take care of it as people will realize 99% of them are pure garbage.
85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WORST LOSS? on: October 15, 2017, 04:46:46 PM
Digibyte I bought it at $0.04 then I sold it for loss. It was wrong entry point, I learned my lesson. I don't think even now you should buy it
Same here, DGB rekt me for a percentage loss standpoint.  Though luckily I didn't have much of my portfolio involved in it.  Still bagholding it.  Doesn't make much sense to sell it now at such a huge loss.
86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which ICOs you suggest for November on: October 15, 2017, 04:45:24 PM
[Biased opinion here], but you can check out our new ico https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2267616.0 too.

All members have a very high reputation and have been active in the crypto enviroment for long, plus a reputable escrow, so you can rule out the scam.
The project is good and backed by a solid and active team, based on real world business and not just on blockchain-hype: not a behemot project like, say, a Tezos, a Kin or the like, but it has growing potential since it starts smaller.
Also the token has some actual use since it's dividends paying, among other things.
This does look actually somewhat interesting, and I don't say that about every ico.  I haven't come across many lately that haven't reeked of full on scam.  I will take a deeper look at it, thank you.
87  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Seems like FaucetSystem got hacked. on: October 14, 2017, 04:51:38 PM
Thanks for the heads up, luckily I didn't have too much tied up in it to matter.
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I'm now a MILLIONAIRE because of NEO. on: October 14, 2017, 04:41:03 PM
I hate these kinds of threads.  Stop bragging and let me borrow some money. lol
89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can I speed up confirmation ETH on: October 14, 2017, 04:38:14 PM
Eth doesn't have an accelerator option like btc does?  I thought there were mining pools that could handle that?
90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you still support Ethereum? on: October 13, 2017, 09:31:19 PM
Nope, I made my money and got out.  There are far more interesting projects with upside potential than eth.  Eth isn't going to go 10x from here, but there are many other alts that could do that.  Buy low, long, get rich.  It's simple.
91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum exploded.. next taget on: October 13, 2017, 09:28:34 PM
Where is the option that it's headed back down to $50?  Poll is obviously skewed.
92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CPU mining coins on: October 13, 2017, 09:27:04 PM
I almost want to say XMR.  I mean there has to be a reason why all the sites like Piratebay are using browser mining scripts on their users.  I guess I should actually look into that myself, lol.
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I lost 80% of my bitcoins in alts, What can I do now?! on: October 13, 2017, 04:55:59 PM
Well, there is strategy called Average down! If you had been using the strategy you may not have lost so much. It is not late now. Double the units you have in all these coin. Any 10 % to 20% increase in price will automatically put you in profit! Keep buying the deep and you won't lose a dime at the end of the day!
A sound strategy, the more it goes down the more you buy.  Though only if it is a solid project.  If it's a crap project on a temp pump it may never return to where it was and bleed forever.
94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple says it has $15bn war chest on: October 13, 2017, 04:53:47 PM
I understand why people have an aversion to Ripple, but I have great faith both in the project itself and the long-term value of XRP. The potential market is absolutely vast, and dwarfs the entire current crypto space.
What do you see the long term value of Ripple being at its top?
95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XRB]Cryptocurrency's killer app: RaiBlocks micropayments on: October 13, 2017, 04:50:58 PM
A lots of rumors is going on about raiblocks but you guys should
be on the slack so you can be updated of whats really going on.
They are working hard for the coins better future.
Most people don't have time to be involved with slack, there are so many alts now to watch that it isn't time worthy.  Easiest thing is to come to a thread like this and check up on the latest news real quick.  This forum has main threads for any and every alt that is worth anything.
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EBTC website down and twitter gone!!! on: October 12, 2017, 04:27:39 PM
Everyone knew it would happen sooner or later. The token was just a spare time work of an inexperienced person without any proper announcement or roadmap.
Yep.  It was only a matter of time.  That is why research is so important with your investments.  Too many people get caught up in hype and will buy anything if it rises enough.
97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XRB]Cryptocurrency's killer app: RaiBlocks micropayments on: October 12, 2017, 04:25:30 PM
In my opinion they should just burn the rest of the supply or switch to a more standard distribution model.  The faucet has been more of a negative than positive at this point.
98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: ★[ANN] EthereumDARK-ETHD | For REAL investors ONLY | PoS | Bounties | Anonomity★ on: October 12, 2017, 04:23:02 PM
Time will tell how this all plays out but it's crazy just how much attention this alt has received.  Why though really?  There are a million different alts now, is it all based on the name?
99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] SONM: Supercomputer Organized by Network Mining on: October 11, 2017, 04:51:07 PM
If you're evaluating your portfolio in BTC you should be even less worried, since you'd be in for the long haul. Altcoins are riskier than BTC, so some will take longer to appreciate while others will flat-out die or even fail compared to Bitcoin. With diversification your overall portfolio should be up within a few months of investing though.
That's some sound advice if I ever heard of some!  Step 1 in the trading game, always stay diversified.
100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Gopnik Coin - POW/POS (proof of squat) GPK on: October 11, 2017, 04:49:46 PM
This is one of the funniest alts around, I'm tempted to invest on the sheer lulz factor alone.
