81  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC Mining vs Buying on: January 08, 2018, 10:53:11 PM
It is easier to buy today. You would need a bigger capital and a larger mining equipment to make mining profitable
82  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are Forks really good for BTC ? on: January 01, 2018, 10:14:18 PM
Don't think to much for your own.
Let's make a discussion out of the box.

When there is a new fork people are so exiting because in this way they can split their BTC with a new Crypto.
Very lucky for you buddy!

BUT, is it really worth for the community? Or is it another way to speculate and try to gain extra money ?

I mean Bitcoin ha seriously issue and everyone know about it. You guess it: scalability, fees to hight, ect

Could the new forks really solve the issue?
Because if everyone see them as free-money it's definitely not worth it and BTC remain with its problems

What do you think ?

People who benefit from forks are the developers. And it just makes the price of bitcoin fluctuate so much. It does not help us, it is just a waste of space.
83  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will we see Bitcoin fall in 2018? on: December 31, 2017, 11:07:04 PM
Due to Ripples recent INSANE bull run, I have been seeing SO many FUD posts about how "Bitcoin is over" "Bitcoin will fail in 2018" and whatever other titles people can construe and conjure up to make people scared or sell off their position. It has been really irritating me so I decided to make a video about it, let me know your thoughts and happy New Year!

Link : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G0EFSb1ZwKg

It literally can happen anytime because of the decentralized market and the many factors. I would surely fall at some point in 2018 but I am also 100% sure that it will recover just like how it happened in the past years. For many times I thought bitcoin would really fall but it is part of its growth and this is just the beginning.
84  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: December 30, 2017, 05:01:45 PM
If you had to convert all your wealth to either Bitcoin or gold and keep it there for 10 years, which would you choose? Keep in mind the fact that Bitcoin has only been around for 5 years, and could be fundamentally different in any number of ways in 10 years.

I would choose gold.

Gold doesn't fluctuate like bitcoin I would just wait for some year for my investment to mature. And the profit is guaranteed. In bitcoin, you need time to always watch the price, it is better to be used for trading rather than as an investment.
85  Economy / Economics / Re: BTC is a roller coaster on: December 30, 2017, 04:50:44 PM
Just received reminder bitcoin dropped a lot, the price of the last week is very unstable, leading to other competing currencies continued to fall, there is no bottom line of that kind of fall, I would like to ask you tycoons on how to look at the future market?

It will be more unstable as it is decentralized and the number of bitcoiners especially traders are growing so fast. A bigger decentralized market would mean a bigger volatility.
86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where to buy ALTCOINS? on: December 25, 2017, 11:21:59 PM
Dear People, where to buy ALTCOINS?

I like Litebit.eu because they support also wallets for much coins but they never have stock.

You can buy on many exchanges. I use hitbtc as it does not require the use of any ID for confirmation and it is hassle free because you just need a valid email in order to make an account and start trading.
87  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is DEAD on: December 25, 2017, 11:18:00 PM
A couple days ago I posted here because of a transaction stuck in the void for which I paid 30 dollars fee.
Now, one hour ago, I sent a transaction with a 130 dollars fee.
ONE HOUR, STILL ZERO TRANSACTIONS, 130 DOLLARS FEE.
I'm sorry to write this, but Bitcoin is DEAD.
I've been a defender of it up until now, but we've gone too far.
Who the hell is going to buy Bitcoin when the word will spread?
When people will try to get their Bitcoins from the exchanges, they'll meet this reality, and Bitcoin will be dead in DAYS, after the word will begin spreading.
Just please don't go on BCH, let's try to move onto better technologies like Byteball.
BTW can anyone tell me what should I pay to move my Bitcoins now?
I have now 4 Bitcoins stuck in the void.

I hope this problem would end. Many people are affected because of the slow network, it is not good for bitcoin and the users. But bitcoin is not dead and it will never happen.
88  Economy / Speculation / Re: Did we hit the bottom? on: December 22, 2017, 07:51:00 PM
The bottom will be $0

So are we there yet? Nope.

But we could be soon just be patient

Man.... 0$ cannot happen. It can only happen when no people would use Bitcoin. I've red on some news that it would only fall 50% of the peak price this month. And it nearly happen last night.
89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HODL or REGRET!!! on: December 22, 2017, 07:46:10 PM
I sold my 6k ripple coins last night! Embarrassed

That's a wrong move. I saw Ripple as one of the two top coins that had gains despite of all the dump of the other coins.
90  Economy / Exchanges / Re: How BITTREX try to scam his users: BE AWARE! on: December 22, 2017, 07:44:37 PM
Dear All,

I wanna thank you for the messages.

We found the issue: i opened an account never used 2 years ago, maybe verified with my national ID (it's unclear because actually seems UNVERIFIED).
I never had a transaction there.

I totally forgot the existence of that.

But it remains still unbelievable how Bittrex manage this kind of situations; 1 month for the first reply, and now "maybe one ore more month for consolidation process (they have to verify me AGAIN and then, erase the older account consolidating my identity into 1)".

They aren't scamming, but customer support is inadequate to allow the users to stay safe and allow them to trade with profit.

So do you not think that you should delete the thread, or at least rename it?

Maybe - I violated the T&Cs of Bittrex, so they temporarily suspended my account - would be more suitable?

You may have noticed that Bitcoin has been getting more popular recently. I dare say that the customer services are overwhelmed and will take longer to respond than they would have a year ago. Throwing around scam accusations because of your fault isn't fair. There is also a scam accusation sub-forum that you should have used.

I agree.

My issue on Bittrex is fixed. The Director of Customer Support of the platform replied me 15 min ago.
There was anyway also their fault; they gave me status of ENHANCED without be sure i was complaint. Then, it tooks 1 month before i got a real help from a support agent.

Thanks anyway to everyone spent his time to read my topic. And sorry.

PS
They must scale out asap the customer service. Doing business in this way is really too much risky for anyone, especially for the newcomers.

PS2
I will delete the topic in 24 hours, just to be sure that who replied me is going to read this my last post.

This is just a proof of how legitimate Bittrex is. I was worried while reading your main post but later realized that a big part of it was your own fault. Now, it looks like your problem is now solved, this should serve as a lesson for others also.
91  Local / Pamilihan / Re: HitBtc scam nga ba? on: December 20, 2017, 08:54:56 PM
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2551767.0
https://web.telegram.org/#/im?p=s1163728659_7649159911175071468

93  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Napanood Mo Ba Ang Scam Expose^ Ni Xian Gaza? on: December 20, 2017, 08:43:59 PM

94  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Napanood Mo Ba Ang Scam Expose^ Ni Xian Gaza? on: December 20, 2017, 08:41:29 PM

"BITCOIN Cryptocurrency itself is not a scam, it’s the spark of the information age’s global financial revolution.

The video is all about an investment scam syndicate in the Philippines who’s taking advantage of the bitcoin and using it as a front to execute a highly organized fraudulent scheme inside our country and offshore. Take time to watch the entire video to be aware of the scam scheme. Feel free to share and warn your relatives and friends." - Xian Gaza

You can watch the full video here:

https://www.facebook.com/xiangazaofficial/videos/271562803367794/

95  Economy / Economics / Re: Still Buying Bitcoin at $10K? on: December 20, 2017, 08:35:29 PM

After going through the fire this year with some big challenges thrown its way and after experiencing some ups and downs in price, Bitcoin made big surprising moves as it finally inched into the $10,000 mark and right now as I am writing this thread it is still making some surge...maybe it is thinking of going ahead into the $11,000 level soon.

Based on the projection that it can go as high as $40,000 next year, we can conclude that $10,000 is still cheap and that there is still a big room to grow for Bitcoin. However, we all know that corrections can possibly happen anytime soon. At this rate, are you still buying Bitcoin or would you still recommend to folks you know to get into Bitcoin?

Long live, Bitcoin and cryptocurrency!!!!

it can even surpass 40 000usd and reach 100 000 usd based on my predictions. Bitcoin's increase rate is also getting higher as the number of supporters grow that results to a great increase in the demand.
96  Economy / Economics / Re: BTC as a national currency? on: December 20, 2017, 08:31:13 PM
There are many threats that bitcoin can give to a country especially the misuse of the coin in illegal things and the unstable price that can affect the economy if a large volume of it is inside the country.
97  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Is Bitcoin's Value So Volatile? on: December 20, 2017, 08:27:43 PM
A simple reason is because it is decentralized, people can pump and dump as much as they want. And the price is controlled by the supply and demand which is affected greatly by whales who pumps or dumps their coins.
98  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: MyEtherWallet na Hack on: December 20, 2017, 08:22:49 PM

99  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: DESCROW (Anti-scam) Platform on: December 20, 2017, 08:17:41 PM

100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The rise of Dogecoin on: December 20, 2017, 08:15:50 PM
Was just reading through some articles and found that Dogecoin has been booming the last few days (http://abcbitcoins.org/2017/12/16/dogecoin-explodes/).

I tried playing around with Dogecoin a few years back, but never saw much potential, but now I'm not too sure. Is it worth re-investing in Dogecoin or is this simply due to the rise of Bitcoin?

I don't think it would last long, doge coin is clearly made not to have a great price increase. It is a meme coin, it is just use for micro payments. It has an unlimited supply so we cannot really say the the price will continue to increase
