I added email notifications for some security events:
Whenever your password is changed (except by an administrator), you will get an email about it.
Whenever your email is changed (except by an administrator), your old email will get an email about it with a link to lock your account. The link is valid for 14 days.
Let me know if you find any bugs.
Hooray! This was a MUCH needed feature. Hope I can recover my hacked account in the coming days... PS Would it be possible to send this notification to accounts which changed password in the last, say 14 days or so? So we can recover them by ourselves? Thanks again!

They said they are focusing on the technical side and not the social stuff, however there has been not a single update on the twitter account since Oct 2nd and no statement after a week had passed since the alleged snapshot. This makes me wonder if this project isn't just spoof.

This is not a real Airdrop. I'd rather say it's a scam. You have to buy some tokens on EtherDelta in order to be elegible for the airdrop. If you buy nothing, you get nothing. This is intended to artificially create a market and inflate prices. Stay ayaw from this one.

Received ECASH and it has a value on etherdelta What to do? Sell oder HODL? I recently made about 0.5 ETH out of ECash, from my experience after a short time span (a few days) the value of these new tokens often plummet so you 'd better sell now and you'll be able to buy much cheaper once the selloffs have passed. Look at eBTC as an example. This is a personal piece of advice of course. My two cents

I lost my Sr.Member account today because someone hacked it and I didn't notice the hacker changed my email and password (I think I should have got a warning email or something like that).
Seems this is a must have feature, most hacks could be avoided thanks to 2FA. Admins please, take it into account!
AFAIK it's a planned feature for the new/updated/replacement forum at beta.bitcointalk.org. Of course that doesn't solve the issue here and if that replacement never comes out of beta, but, at least they're taking it into account. I didn't know. That's definitely good news. Thank you so much for the update.

I'm 99% sure I changed the password after the hack, but I might also have reused it somewhere else. My fault.
I'm sending you a PM with my signed message and reference for the bitcoin address associated. I don't feel comfortable posting it here (maybe I'm a bit paranoid), but if it's a must I will do it. I just don't want the hacker to take advantage of it somehow.
Thanks for your help.

My 4 year-old Sr.Member account with an activity over 400 was hacked today. On https://bitcointalk.org/seclog.php it just says "password changed". Now if I try to recover my password, I don't receive the recovery email so I guess he changed it, too. The hacker also changed my profile signature to take advantage of signature campaigns. I already sent a PM to Cyrus with a signed message with a bitcoin address I had associated with that account. Not sure how long this could take, though. However, I can't figure out how the hacker managed to change my password and associated email. I guess he stole the bitcointalk cookie/session using javascript code from a malicious site. But in order to change the password and email you need to know the old password, so he obtained it somehow. I usually have my password stored in Google Chrome. I rarely write it. Could the hacker have obtained it from Chrome itself? I thought it was secure enough, but now I have serious doubts about it. I ask in order to secure my other accounts at other forums and change passwords accordingly. Any hint would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
