81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Zcash worth to invest in it? on: August 24, 2018, 04:30:17 PM
The most interesting thing about zcash is the zk-snark/sk-stark technology.

Whether this alone is enough to propel them into the future remains to be seen. Ethereum is planning their own implementation of the technology.
82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to protect your altcoin on: August 23, 2018, 10:52:23 PM
Best way is using hardware wallets. Buy Trezor or Ledger wallet, keep this wallet on safe place. Othere methods are don't share your private key or phrase. Don't store too much amount in exchanges. If the exchanges get hacked you will lose your money. Always keep your altcoins with you by using a hardware wallet.
83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investment in ICO on: August 23, 2018, 10:45:06 PM
You should know these things. I will recommend you to first study properly about that ICO before investing because here most of them are a scam or not worth to invest so it's better to read their whitepaper check their team before investing and check reviews about them around the internet before investing. That way worked for me.
84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are you using ETH for? on: August 22, 2018, 10:06:23 PM
I use ethereum as a long term hold, I also use it to invest in a good ico and finally i use it to cash out to fiat because it is easy to sell in my country.
85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is it better to buy during ICO or Market? on: August 22, 2018, 09:40:17 PM
ICO because the initial launched value in the high market price and even higher than ICO because if bought in the market will potentially be dumped by a group of people who want to destroy the value of the coin
86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how to earn token and coin free ? on: August 22, 2018, 10:02:10 AM
Always you can participate in a bounty campaign or join an airdrop. A bounty campaign has a lot of sections, for example subscription campaign or Youtube blogging or signature campaign. There you can find something that suits you.
87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency is a bubble? on: August 22, 2018, 09:52:55 AM
I don't think that Cryptocurrency is a bubble. Bubbles are usually of little use value. People rely on people's hype to gain value. Although cryptocurrencies rely on some hype, we can see the huge potential of cryptocurrencies. It can change people's future life, this is not a bubble.
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I invest in NEX? on: August 21, 2018, 04:56:26 PM
Another facet of this scenario is that security tokens in the not do distant future will be a big oppurtunity similar to how securities are sold post ICO currently. The problem, most specifically for NEX, if we are talking centralized exchange listings/Moon Lambos(haha) is the security token infastructure is not set up yet IE Polymath etc but i think we are close.
89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NEO VS ETH on: August 21, 2018, 06:26:49 AM
I'm beginning to see Eth vs. Neo kind of like Linux vs. Apple in the early 90's.

Eth = Linux being forkable and customizable through Plasma child chains, etc so there will be many versions of Ethereum base blockchains all connected to the main chain and sharing the same base code. It is a truly open source and decentralized movement and the platform is permissionless. Anyone in the world is free to create any dapp they want.

Neo on the other hand is more like Apple in that they have a somewhat more controlled environment with requirements to be a validator and publish a dapp. They are running their blockchain more like a private business than Ethereum. The Neo Council forming formal and direct ties and providing investment money to governments and enterprises to onboard them, etc. Neo is also unforkable so there will always only be one Neo like there is only one Mac OS built by Apple. or only one Keanu Reeves in the Matrix...

As for competitive advantage, only time will tell which route works and for what use cases. I personally think the world desperately needs a public chain like Ethereum more than we need Neo. However that doesn't necessarily mean that holding Eth will guarentee more returns for you. Look at what holding Apple shares for long could've done for your portfolio. Although as we head towards a decentralized economy how things are valued will change and where value can reach will be different from the legacy economic system. It wasn't possible back then to buy a share of open source Linux, but now we can in the blockchain space.
90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN vs ETH ? Your thoughts? on: August 20, 2018, 09:54:23 PM
BTC = Must compete with other currencies in the real world, not used as currency, no stable value

ETH = The native currency of the Ethereum p2p global computer, used as currency within Ethereum (e.g., for purchasing ERC20 tokens or .eth domain names), stablecoins can be built to run on Ethereum

BTC = store of value is the only killer app

ETH = many killer apps (currency, store of value, crowdsales, tokenization of everything from currencies and votes to land titles and IP) and a lot more killer apps to come (e.g., decentralized social networks, messaging apps, etc.)

BTC = associated with far right politics and cybercrime

ETH = clean slate

BTC = few developers, few companies/banks/governments working on BTC's blockchain

ETH = big magnet for developers, hundreds of corporations/many banks/a couple of governments working on the Ethereum blockchain
91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Vs Altcoin on: August 20, 2018, 05:56:51 PM
All altcoins, especially the centralized ones like Bcash, are essentially worthless in that Bitcoin already (or soon will) performs the function they were designed to do.

When the seas get choppy, everybody runs back to the king for safety.

Bitcoin. There is no substitute.
92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to Choose a Good ICO on: August 19, 2018, 11:04:17 AM
- check about tokenmetrics and the marketcap/hardcap
- check the team and advisors(whether they are having any blockchain expertise and exposure)
- check the community strength and marketing plan
- check the status of the product prototype (alpha, beta, showcase, etc.) and road map.
- check the status of influencers (Not paid shillers)
- check the communication strengths and transparency
- check whether the application is a viable one without ambitious claims
- check the whitepapaer well structured and written
- check the eco system and status of investors
- check whether the project really needs a cryptocurrency as a driving fuel.
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coins for hold on: August 19, 2018, 08:59:33 AM
VeChain is an interesting project. If you only listened to its supporters, you would think it is the next Top 5 coin. If you listened to its detractors, it is just a scam. Like most things in life, the truth is somewhere in the middle. Nevertheless, I am quite bullish on this project. VeChain is another supply chain focused project. Imagine a world where you can track both source and quality for any medicine before ingesting it? This is what VeChain hopes to achieve as it revolutionizes the pharmaceutical industry.
94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is NEO still worth investing in? on: August 18, 2018, 07:38:06 PM
NEO is my major holing and I'm just trying to acquire more BTC at the moment. I think NEO has the potential to drastically take over a large portion of the market. ETH I don't believe will see the same gains NEO will but also the whole market is one big question mark right now.
95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buying NEO on: August 18, 2018, 07:34:40 PM
I'm long term very bullish as well. In order for any project and company to grow big you need staying power, you need to be able to weather the ups and downs of the market. Microsoft, Apple, Samsung and all the big companies all had their ups and downs and it took them a very long time in the market, and many years, to grow to the size they are today.

With NEO/ONT/Onchain setting themselves up as the #1 compliant blockchain ecosystem of China they have the best possible odds of being in this race for the long haul. They are in a unique position in the market, and if the rest of the world wants to use NEO too that's great of course.

There is still a lot of hard work still to be done, and a shit-ton of coding. But if any project out there has the chance to survive and prosper then NEO is one of the top picks for sure
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I invest only in ICOs on: August 18, 2018, 06:35:08 PM
These days icos get dumped even below it's initial Ico price because of the market condition, it's better to stay cool with idex that's where you get nice gem.
97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Tactics When Market is Falling on: August 18, 2018, 06:31:56 PM
Turn it into a stable coin like tether.  Tether won't go down because it is stable as USD price. After the falling of the market prices of the altcoins will be low. Then you can go shopping & buy any coin you want for a lower price.
98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will ICO die in 2018? on: August 17, 2018, 03:54:05 PM
The industry is definitely growing. I wouldn't say it's going to die, we believe that there will be a market correction with more stable companies running ICOs. Good ICOs will evolve and rise from the ashes while bad ones will be forgotten. I could also see how VCs could start getting involved in ICOs as means to funding startups due to the liquidity they could get.
99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best wallet for altcoins? on: August 17, 2018, 03:41:54 PM
Jaxx is a multiplatform multicurrency wallet. The private keys are stored on your device. It has a beautiful UI, is really sleek and easy to use, and has shapeshift built in. What's great about Jaxx is that it supports every major platform. Desktop clients available for Mac, Windows and Linux. Mobile clients available for iOS and android, and hardware wallet support coming soon. Jaxx is completely open source, so you can check exactly what the application is doing. The jaxx team also is actively adding new coins and one of their missions is to "unite" cryptocurrency and offer a platform that is safe, easy to use and has wide support.
100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Monero a Good Investment? on: August 16, 2018, 11:18:46 PM
There is no doubt that Monero stands out from other cryptocurrencies because of the privacy it provides. Many experts believe that this one feature could take Monero to great heights.
