81  Economy / Speculation / Re: Samsung, Apple, ASICs and mining on: February 21, 2018, 06:44:06 PM
Apple and low cost?  Nonsense story.

Samsung confirmed a while back they are manufacturing mining ASICs but seemed as part of chip foundry business not branded consumer product.
82  Economy / Speculation / Re: [Poll] A Dead Cat? on: February 21, 2018, 01:17:28 PM
The reaction to the lows in January was a dead cat bounce.  This current trend has been sustained and broken through technical trends/resistance.  Not substantially though, and maybe thats a virtue, what most people really need is a month or two of steady consolidation and allowing other coins to find their true values.
83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's the Significance of 3 Letter Coin Codes on: February 21, 2018, 01:09:12 PM
Its just a shorthand, its come over from world of stock and currecny trading where they are used to save space on displays.  Instead of arbitary length instrument name, say Apple or Berkshire Hathaway, you get APPL or BRK.A, which line up nicely.
84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]🔵🔵 OYSTER 🔵🔵 Anonymous Storage Generates Revenue for Websites on: February 21, 2018, 12:57:58 PM
a good time if buy some prl because prl has great potential.
the opinion that if prl is a bright future because the price will reach and more than we imagine.
Can you or someone explain to me why PRL is so popular nowdays? When i saw on coinmarketcap, https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/oyster/#markets
This token has big daily volume, listed on some big exchanges (kucoin, etc) and price also stable on $1-$1.5

there is an upcoming airdrop and its not an ordinary airdrop. It has used. Smiley

The airdrop is one reason why Oyster is getting more popular, the other reason is that the airdrop is not just another token but something that is potentially more transformative and disruptive than Oyster.

Here is my key take away from the whitepaper:

"The key take away for me is this: "Users with basic wireless hardware will be able to convert their device into a web node and
seamlessly connect to the meshnet, therefore bypassing centralized infrastructure owned by ISPs and Governments."

... As long as you're within 100m of other nodes  Grin
85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: PRL Price Prediction once Pegged on: February 19, 2018, 10:31:46 PM
Its good for the growth of the actual product but its not great for token value to peg price to a depreciating market.  Storage gets cheaper and especially when there are these new fangled entrants competing to lower the cost.
86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What Happned to TRON(TRX),Future predictions??? on: February 19, 2018, 09:43:11 PM
Lots of hype, little delivery.  Go look at the github, for a project raised so much money and supposed to have dev team in place, they dont do much.
87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This is a new concept for crypto-currency that you never heard before on: February 19, 2018, 01:06:49 PM
Who wants stable currency, stable doesn't go to Lambo moon!
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] 🤖 Daneel.io: The First A.I Created To Help Cryptocurrency Investors on: February 19, 2018, 09:07:07 AM
So, how do you thinks, ICO will end ahead of schedule ? Website shows us - ICO will over in 16 days.
I think ICO will end before the scheduled date!!, look at the demand for DAN tokens. People are so much interested in this project Daneel. Because this a whole new concept on the cryptocurrency field!! This project will followed by millions after the product release too. So why anyone doesn't want to buy this!
What evidence is there for demand?  On launch they hit their softcap of 8 million very early, but contributions didn't change for days.  Then they pulled the tracker and just say "8 million sold" weeks later.  14 days to go i think they are struggling to make interest.
89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO]CREDITS - New Blockchain for financial industry [15 Feb-28 Feb] on: February 18, 2018, 08:53:22 AM
It is simple, though perhaps communications poor.

White list members have been given a low cap to allow everyone white listed to participate.  You know, instead of a few hundred large investors hovering up everything and thousands of white listed getting nothing.  If you don't think 0.5 ETH is enough, buy more in round 3 if any left or when they become available on market.  If that doesn't suit you because you just wanted to flip a couple of ETH on exchange yourself, well jog on, someone will pick them up in round 3.

This is how ICO should be conducted, spread distribution widely across those interested.  Compare to Refereum that ditched their entire community by selling out the ICO to some big investors.
90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO]CREDITS - New Blockchain for financial industry [15 Feb-28 Feb] on: February 18, 2018, 12:46:46 AM
If anyone from Credits is monitoring, why oh why not pre-announce there would be allocated time slots.  And for that matter, make it clear that allotted individual caps are reserved for period, if indeed they are.

I see so much right with how this ICO was handled, then bodged and all made wrong at the last minute by not being clear and adding a time slot requirement last minute.

What happens if sent to address in profit before time slot?  Transaction shows as a success, is that good or is it not registered if outside time slot.
91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Saudi Arabia's deal with Ripple on: February 16, 2018, 10:49:42 AM
Will they be using the Ripple token or the Ripple network?  The wording suggests the latter, and shouldn't impact on the price except as news seeps out and people buy not recognising there's a difference.  From what i've read all interest from the banking industry is in the ripple software and infrastructure to join counter-parties securely, the coins aren't going to be bought and sold for a transfer.

92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: VerIfied scammer pays Shapeshift to list Bitcoin as Bitcoin Core on: February 15, 2018, 03:26:30 PM
Please enlighten me, why is calling Bitcoin "Bitcoin Core" a bad thing? I don't see how that hurts the brand in fact I thought it was what it was called. Good job on the propaganda on their part.... Undecided

You should ask why they would want to push the name Bitcoin Core.  It's to alter the Bitcoin image to either make Bitcoin Cash seem an equal, or to in time reclaim/hijack Bitcoin name.

I have no issue with Bitcoin Cash, I believe the purpose of the fork highlighted a problem in Bitcoin that too many are in denial about, however this sort of activity is underhand and they haven't actually gone on to develop Bitcoin Cash so it does end up looking shady.
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Oyster Pearl on: February 14, 2018, 11:33:57 PM
I like the Pearl project, but to value i cant work out if this is on verge of something or being pushed by bagholders.  Already down its 100x can it go again?  Someone tell me why this isnt its proper value currently.
94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Neo & Chinese New Year 2018 on: February 14, 2018, 11:01:23 PM
Dont understand why people think the Chinese sell up for New Year, is there evidence of this?  Do Westerners sell assets for Christmas/Newyear holiday?  No so why assume others do.  The difference is they wont buying as they are busy eating and drinking  Cheesy  So if you hold, it makes not much difference.

Too much fud in crypto is made by ourselfs, expecting irrational actions, then acting in response when the action has not happened, but doing so make something happen.  It will be westerners *fearing* a sell off that causes a sell off.
95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bluzelle - Block chain SQL Database on: February 14, 2018, 06:25:00 PM
Bluzelle's ICO was highly rated, and their team is jam packed with all-stars, including the creator of GNU Bash as an advisor. I've got high hopes for it, and I'm waiting for the price to drop a bit lower before I take a position.

Yes, missed this until too late, couldnt get on the list.  Undecided Saw Brian Fox and know this is something different from the run of the mill fundraiser, this is going to be the sort of project that becomes foundation of future technologies.
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tron (TRX) I missed the opportunity.. sad... on: February 14, 2018, 12:00:48 PM
Tron is still PR over development.  Couple of weeks ago Justin tweeted about integration with Peiwo.  Do a search for this now... no further news, there's nothing in field, it must have been just dev lab stuff and they can make any old claim about what happens there.
97  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wow - fees too high! on: February 14, 2018, 11:27:30 AM
The question is, how would Bitcoin Cash address the same issue if it ever got to the same value and usage as Bitcoin currently has?
98  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bloomberg Intelligence: the price of bitcoin could fall to $ 900 on: February 14, 2018, 11:19:27 AM

The strategist for commodities of the analytical division of Bloomberg Intelligence Mike McGlone believes that the probability of a 90% drop in bitcoine prices in the conditions of uncontrolled supply growth in the market is quite high.

"I've been studying this topic for a long time and the more research I do, the more I tend to bearish. All this is very similar to the Internet company of the late 90's, "McGlone emphasized.

Who is this McGlone, who then considers him an expert?
Yeah, and monkeys can fly out of McGlone's ass too.

"conditions of uncontrolled supply growth" - this proves his understanding of Bitcoin is ZERO

The day Bitcoin Cash forked, any pretense of limited supply died.
99  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Japanese Crypto Investors To Pay Tax Of Up To 55 Percent On Profits on: February 13, 2018, 08:33:41 AM
What is the normal rate for tax on profits in Japan?  Is this similar or same?
100  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Most cryptocurrencies to hit zero? on: February 12, 2018, 04:07:03 PM
Today there are over 1500 cryptos, and new ones come along every day.  I dont believe that 1/10th have long term future, too many are either scams, zombies, jokes, replication or just badly run.  One day te market will realise this and most will indeed fall to nothing.  There *needs* to be a clear out to let the real useful project flourish, allow people to focus on, rather than effort and funds spread so widely.
