Claymore,
Got any other ideas on how to get Ver 12 running without it constantly crashing my drivers?

cool...this is what i was looking for..let me mine some XPM and then i can give you some...i shifted to mine xmr as i was not able to resolve this problem...will try this today and let you know..if you do not mind care to tell you what NUL stands for??? also what is the Ip for?? is it local ip address or should i keep the same.
Windows bat scripts don't have timers. The ping thing is a way to wait a certain amount of time before doing the next thing. nul should stay nul, don't change that. The ip should be one that doesn't exist on your local network.

i have this version 12.0 running for 1 day now..i have 2 r9-280x.one of my gpu stucks after 6 hours and does not mine..i have to restart the miner to get it working again. can you please add the auto restart option as soon as possible...for the mean time any suggestion on how i can set to restart the bat file at fixed interval..
I have three files to accomplish this, it might not be the best method but it works well for me: 1. Startup.bat setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100 setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1 NsXpmMiner.exe -o 127.0.0.1:7332 -u user -p pass -xpm key -ss 0 -sd 1 2. restart.bat @echo off :loop ping 192.168.2.2 -n 1 -w 10000 > nul tasklist /FI "IMAGENAME eq NsXpmMiner.exe" 2>NUL | find /I /N "NsXpmMiner.exe">NUL if "%ERRORLEVEL%"=="1" start "launcher" "C:\path\to\miner\Claymore XPM GPU Miner SOLO\startup.bat" goto loop 3. crasher.bat @echo off :loop ping 192.168.2.2 -n 1 -w 7200000 > nul taskkill /f /im NsXpmMiner.exe goto loop Create all three files. then add crasher.bat and restart.bat to your system startup. Restart.bat checks if the miner is running, if it isn't it starts it again. Crasher.bat intentionally kills the miner every 2 hours, you can adjust the intervals to your liking. Been running 11 for weeks no problems. Installed 12, it crashes my drivers immediately. Running 13.12 3 x r9 280x saphire toxic. windows 7 64bit
Claymore any ideas how to fix?
v12 uses more video memory. Have you set GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100? Yup, still crashes. Is there a way i can provide some sort of debug log? I should clarify. Its not the miner that crashes, its my ATI drivers. I get a notice, something like: "Display driver AMD has stopped responding and has recovered" usually that means your volts are too low or clocks too high and running 3 cards on a rig u wont know which it is not alll cards are created = some can do higher clocks at less volts than others even with the same brand/model Thanks for the tip, but i'm running stock settings for these cards.

XPM mining on ypool does not work properly for a few hours, the problem will be fixed soon, but right now solo mining is more profitable.
EDIT: Ypool is working properly again.
SOLO FTW!

I have kernel.bin for 280x and 7950, if anyone is interested.
Very interested if it's compiled on 13.12 Can you please post a link. Here you go: http://we.tl/oLAkmn6ss8Does anyone have this file, the link is expired...

Is the mega link in op's post a binary of the latest code changes (7 hours ago on github) This link is the one i'm talking about: https://mega.co.nz/#!hRAmGRAQ!cbYlm-meXprzImw-vQ5COnBQiWtgPFXJeJtTs-041AI

Can someone point me towards the windows binary version of this miner for solo? the only miner i can find is for a pool that is now shutdown?

Following up on my earlier tracing of offsets and difficulty, here's a new graph: http://www.cs.cmu.edu/~dga/crypto/ric/diff_offset_2014_03_18.pngLooks like within a few days, the low-primorial miners will mostly be gone. Supercomputing alluded to this, but I think it'll be interesting to see what happens with coprimes (offsets relative to the primorial) other than the first. The ypool miner and mine both use only the first (+97 for 2310, and +16057 for big primorials). But a00k's uses a different coprime for each worker. I'm not sure I see a fundamental advantage to using the coprimes unless we start exhausting the 256 bit nonce space with large primorials and need to search more densely, but it seems like something to keep in mind. I'll see if I can add a coprime-detector to my analysis code for some graphs next week. That should also provide a better signature of the miner used to mine the block - interesting stuff. All these primorial optimizations are assuming that all 'coprimes' as you say (I'm not sure it's the correct term, I'd call them 'remainders' since they are the remainder of the first prime of the sextuplet modulo the primorial) are equiprobable (ie sextuplets are distributed evenly amongst different remainders). It's logical to assume that, but I think it's not proven to be true. Some may give better performance than others - and it could be a big difference. The safest approach would be to choose one at random and switch every few minutes or something. And of course the best would be to research if they are truly the same or not. Some of you people thought your were mining this for the money? while you were distracted, I made you do science! ha! This is one of the greatest things i've read on this board in a long time.

Is there a windows binary available of the latest client? i do not have a windows dev environment setup at the moment.
Alternatively i would be happy with a mac binary.

LOL ? is this funny or what ?? are we all mining for others ?? { "height" : 2284, "bestblock" : "5985761e09c43d6692e5125dc89779d8a746778106ea0d5ed090027b1a8909d0", "transactions" : 2120, "txouts" : 2172, "bytes_serialized" : 148284, "hash_serialized" : "c9c648d7272b2c387c01e0bdab2fc9985fd3f72afdcf6625742cb21b2c65cf98", "total_amount" : 71024.99999744 } How is this even possible? Since this is a new PoW, it is very hard to define a starting difficulty that avoids instamining. To overcome this and contribute to a fair launch, the first 576 blocks will have no reward and the next 576 will linearly increase and reach the full reward at block 1152, after 4 difficulty adjustments were performed. Besides avoiding instamining, this should allow time for those who want to compile their own clients.
This mean, for the first 576 blocks no reward. then there was essentially 1/2 of 50 per block for the next 576 blocks. So total coins right now: 14400 + 56600 = 71000 Ohhh i get it now. that's the total amount of coins in existence, not the total amount of transfer in that block.

Did difficulty just increase? Nope. It stays at 1. Thats a bug, look at getwork, its up to 536

Awesome but seems slower than the jh00 miner. 925 Kh/s on my i7 4770k, and i was getting 1065 with jh00. Tested both your avx2 and i7 avx binaries.

3165 khash/sec on a Sapphire VaporX 7950
When i did the math it was way more profitable to just mine middlecoin or hashcows than it is to gpu mine this coin. If you're mining to hold, might as well mine on middle coin then buy MTC with that. Edit my math was, for 3 x r9 280x i would get 28 MTC, at the time that was 0.0008 BTC per day. its probably even lower now since rate has gone down more. With the same cards i get 0.03 BTC / day. makes no sense to GPU mine this coin currently.

@gatra thank you for your awesome hard work! I truly respect they amount of thought you have put into this coin to ensure it has a fair launch and does not get instamined. I can see big things in this coins future.
