=> 19.2% premined or these coins will be mined fairly and sold later ?

Why the fuck did you not put 300 first block empty?

Yes, a new bad start...

There so many coins now, that the new ones are doomed...
83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Extremecoin (EXC) - MANDATORY UPGRADE VERSION 1.5 (Kimoto Gravity Well) on: February 27, 2014, 10:56:23 AM
One of the best alternate released in the last 6 months.

This coin has still a solid value. Some coins are released for a quick pump and dump, other are there to be strong and last forever.

Extremecoin is one of the alternate that will last. That was discussed, lately , the daily cost of this coin is low, we will not see this one sink. Extremecoin is a good investment.

I agree - One of the best alternate out there; We see new coins every day now, how many died? This one is still there, and will increase in popularity.

I've bought some on BTER lately - Great coin +1.

Bter is great exchange and have some support here....

This one is a good long term investment. Some new coins died very quickly... We must choose carefully the right ones...

Extremecoin is still a good value coin; I mine this coin from time to time. And he is often in the top of most profitable ones.

The community has to growth.

We just unleashed the Panda-Beast on the p2pool network..

In times of pools getting hashrates above of 2gh/s (by a total net hashrate @ 4.2 gh/s) its time to prevent the 51% by using a decentralized way of mining.

In short: "Mining solo in a group" :-)
For everyone who never heard about p2ool and for everyone who wanna escape pool operators, ddos attacks and high pool and transaction fees:

read: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/P2Pool

Just point your miners to one of the two nodes by using your ThePandaCoin WalletAddress as your Username

example:

"vertminer --scrypt-vert -Q 0 -o stratum+tcp://.....:9190 -u PayoutAddress -p anything"

http://panda.qemulab.com:9190/ -> stratum+tcp://panda.qemulab.com:9190
http://bk-eu.cloudapp.net:9190  -> stratum+tcp://bk-eu.cloudapp.net:9190

Or just setup your local node by using this:

https://github.com/TheoRettisch/p2pool-panda

CU @ P2POOL :-)

You have here good parameters using the good p2pool fork for 'nscrypt', with a single patch, and there are MH on it... Please don't add an other fork.

Good one:

*p2pool

Here is a patch to get a public thepandacoin p2pool node,  this patch applies to the original vertcoin p2pool code (git clone git://github.com/donSchoe/p2pool-vtc).

You may setup your own p2pool node. You will get a low latency, low dead on arrival stratum server, and no fees....

I was looking for the p2pool parameters... Good Job!

As soon as the block explorer is available, these parameters can be updated. SUBSIDY_FUNC=lambda height: 50*100000000 >> (height + 1)//840000 is quite useless, the p2pool get this value for the daemon, and for each block; anyway this line may be updated for the next release to a more complex function that look like: SUBSIDY_FUNC=lambda height: 500e3*100000000 >> ( 1 if  (height + 1)<50000  then (2 if ( (height + 1)<100000) then ...)), to be closer to source code.

What are the optimal mining settings for a R9 280X?

All the parameters are available on the vertcoin settings thread:

Gents, I need help from someone who is smarter then me... So that should not be to difficult :-)

How much time is needed to solo mine a pandaCoin block with 2,5MH/s calculating power?

If there is a calculator, i would appreciate a link. If there is a formula, so I can calculate for myself, even better!

Thnx in advance.

I would roughly guess about 2-3 days

how did you calculate that?

This is very easy to do on coinwars.  Just go to the mining calculator and change the values of something.

Yea I just did it in my head based on what I'm farming currently but if I go to coinwarz and use the calculator it comes up with 2.98 days to find a block at 2500MH/s

Here is the formula:

octave -q  --eval "d=$(thepandacoind getdifficulty);c=500e3;h=2.5e6;t=d*(2**32)/h;printf(\"time=%16.13fs - coins/day=%16.13f\",t,24*3600/t*c);";
time=252325.1550484797917s - coins/day=171207.6625562754052

using octave under linux. So the expected time between block is: 171207.66 seconds...

Using the new p2pool above, on your own local node is the better way; You will get all the advantages of solo mining... low latency, low gpu power lost (low DOA...)...

I'm mainly mining this one to learn the ins and outs of mining. If it becomes valuable beyond knowledge gained, cool. If not, I'm having fun and learning new things. I figure with a name like Lucky Coin, it's gotta be mainly for fun anyway. Right? right.

Wrong. People who dump for next to nothing should be rounded up and shot.

Probably. OTOH, bullets ain't cheap anymore. Perhaps a rope?

Slow, and doesn't scale to large amounts of people well. Poison gas?

I'm experimenting mining for only a few weeks now. We have new alt coins every day. This one may be interesting, or not, we will see.

Pool  http://next.afraid.org:8116 fully operational and ready for a load increase.

cgminer --scrypt -o next.afraid.org:8116 -u yourLKYaddress -p . --queue 0 -s 1

statistics available here: http://next.afraid.org:8116. This pool uses a PPLNS payout scheme, and is stratum enabled. The PPLNS window is set to only one hour. You will get the expected payout without having to wait 24h without switching off your hardware.

If your are looking for a Pool. This one is operational and fully reliable.

Today I follow coinchoose - I add some hashrate here.

----[ANN] - New pool node located in the United States.

A new server is now available connected to next.afraid.org for better efficiency, and located in the United States:

cgminer --scrypt -o pool.1nusa.org:8119 -u yourDGCaddress -p .  --queue 0 -s 1

Statistics: http://pool.1nusa.org:8119

A new server - Great this will be more efficient. The orphans were already eliminated, but it will be better...

I've setup my rig on this one. It works flawlessly.

cgminer --scrypt -o next.afraid.org:8119 -u yourDGCaddress -p .  --queue 0 -s 1
cgminer --scrypt -o pool.1nusa.org:8119 -u yourDGCaddress -p .  --queue 0 -s 1

This pool is working perfectly. No orphan, or payout issue, and the new node is a good idea, some new bandwidth  available.

As far as I'm concerned, these pools work fine, I will let some hash power for the night.

The new server: pool.1nusa.org  is running, it may be interesting for some areas in the USA, you may use it to optimize your connection. Nevertheless, both servers are connected and work together for better efficiency.

Servers as reliable as always - A good choice.

I'm still here, everything is fine.

I've tried this multi-pools. Fine!
