If the collector community all decided to fund their Kialaras it would be a very good thing for the total value of the slabs. Over time, some percentage would be opened (and destroyed) to redeem the bitcoin, thus deceasing the total supply of Kialaras on the market, which obviously drives up their value. They could also function as a transferable bearer bond of sorts, a la OpenDime.
Has Max released the total numbers created for each type of Kialara bar? Yes, all slabs are X of Y total

Better go back to Franklin Delano Roosevelt if we're talking presidents who - knowingly or unknowingly - doomed us to the financial enslavement of wild, free money printing. He's the one who took America off of the gold standard.

Wow. A ton of 5-BTC Cas peeled. Really hoping someone didn't get robbed. Don't understand why they wouldn't have sold them at approx 7 BTC each instead of selling. I guess it's a hassle and the market isn't that liquid, but that is about $700,000 potentially left on the table.

Lot 1 @ 0.01
(Edit: my original bid did not meet bid increment minimum)

I honestly thought the thread was over on Saturday and auction was over with OP being decided not to sell? Sorry.

I do not see a price showing for the Moon suite

I did tell you that, and it did happen.

Hi, I was the auction winner. I don’t think “scam” is quite the right word here but given the repost on eBay and the suspicions all around I think if everyone is okay with it, we simply void the auction and start over. However, if that would result in me or the seller getting flagged and never being able to buy/sell on this forum again, then I am willing to buy at the agreed upon price of 1.07 and then go through a careful escrow process to complete the transaction.
Sorry for the fuss on this auction.

What would you take for two each of all 4 colors (so 8 total stamps)?

Come on guys - it was not an attempted scam. I didn't notice the weight on the package. I am not trying to perpetrate some scam for $200 bucks. Seller didn't notice the weight in the picture for hours either.
And let me ask you: if you buy something using bitcoin and you get an empty envelope, which do YOU think was more likely - that the seller jobbed you or that the package was mysteriously stolen. I certainly would think it's the seller. Turned out I was wrong.
I'll accept stupid, but not scammer.

Please post the image of the receipt with the weight, or message it to me directly if it shows personal address, etc. If it's legit then I will drop my complaint. I am not lying about the envelope being sealed and empty, but if I see a receipt showing that there was an actual weighted item shipped to me, then I will have to be satisfied that someone swiped the item along the way.
I'm getting bored of this shit now. It's nearly midnight here.... I'll give you a clue... look at the pictures you PM,d me There is one that I had to remove from this thread...... Shipping weight was 0.25kg which works out to 8.8oz shipping weight, the image was still cached on my system from when I saw the label issue. You're right, it does say that.... I guess if that is accurate then it must have weighed that much when shipped.... I feel pretty stupid for not having realized that it would say the weight on there. I don't see a way for that to have been faked so... The envelope was empty and sealed when, and yet weighed over 1/2 pound when shipped. Conclusion: someone stole it somewhere along the way and resealed it after. My apologies, TMAN. You acted in a good faith. You did nothing wrong. Sorry also for the thread and the time spent analyzing.

So everyone is believing that TMAN just happens to emigrating and his computer is in storage right now?
I don't know what else to say. He's got the BTC and I've got no Kialara. I guess I am screwed.
I accept responsibility for not having surged into action the instant I realized I had been shipped an empty worthless envelope, but I doubt it would have mattered.
I guess all's fair in the wild, wild Bitcoin west.
