81  Economy / Economics / Re: blockchain: bright prospects on: January 16, 2018, 03:57:18 PM
Don’t know how they calculated this figure, but the global blockchain technology market is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 42.8%, and would be worth USD 13.96 billion by 2022. Not bad at all....

Here are some of the sectors that would benefit from it: http://www.techradar.com/news/here-are-the-10-sectors-that-blockchain-will-disrupt-forever

Looks definitely like part of the 3rd industrial revolution to me :-)
Definitely its going to happen. Blockchain is that brilliant technology which provides large security solutions at a very low cost. Moreover decentralization means that no one really owns the block so people become more attracted towards the whole concept because they are the real owners of what they are having and no one except them can have access to it.
82  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Valuation of Bitcoin on: January 16, 2018, 03:52:49 PM
It has been a debatable topic from the beginning that "what is the intrinsic value of BTC?" If we really go into the fact then we realize that there is nothing(Fiat, Diamonds, Stocks, bitcoin etc) have any intrinsic value. It is just the people trust and acceptance which make it worthy. Some people argue only Gold or Silver have the intrinsic value as its worth can be calculated on basis of its purity and a globally accepted mode of transaction in one way or another.
Yes but gold and silver have their intrinsic value in the form that they can be used as ornaments and a tool for showing luxury. While BTC doesn't really enjoys any such legacy. Its demand is merely due to the great demand it is currently encountering. So if we see a future demand is merely because the price has increased so much in the past few months. If people see that the price is not really increasing that much they might just begin to take their funds out which lower the value of bitcoin too.
83  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin Die because of global Regulations? on: January 16, 2018, 03:35:55 PM
Frist China want to ban all the foreign exchanges in their country.
https://www.ccn.com/china-looks-ban-centralized-cryptocurrency-trading-reports/

then France Creates Working Group for Cryptocurrency Regulation
https://cointelegraph.com/news/just-one-person-found-to-have-caused-bitcoins-jump-from-150-to-1000-in-2013

then German Central Bank Director: Crypto Regulations Must Be International
https://cointelegraph.com/news/german-central-bank-director-crypto-regulations-must-be-international

Also India already setup a board for crypto regulation.

What is happening all over the world?Something whats soul purpose is to be decentralized will eventually be centralized?

How much do you think a global regulation on crypto will affect the overall market in this year?

See something which has a market of more than 750B USD market capitalization is deemed to have involved a lot of people from the market. You can't say that govt. can leave such a huge popular thing unregulated. Regulations will come. Only if btc will be able to curb its way out from such norms then only it will be said as a global currency or environment but yes it will have a negative effect for once.
84  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why media against bitcoin ? on: January 16, 2018, 03:32:39 PM
I think it because the media is under controlled of the goverments and the goverment is totally against Bitcoin. So that's why.
Exactly most of our media is if not controlled but atleast influenced a lot by our government and other central authorities. Now if the government itself says that it has a critical point of view towards crypto and bitcoin how in the world would media prefer bitcoin? Generally govt themselves say them to create a negative aura regarding it so people become cautious and remain away from it.
85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top 13 Electronic Currency You Need to Become Millionaire 2018-2020 on: January 16, 2018, 03:22:53 PM
RIPPLE (XRP)
FACTOM (FCT)
MONERO (XMR)
BITCOIN (BTC)
LITECOIN (LTC)
DASH (DASH)
ETHEREUM (ETH)
STEEM (STEEM)
METAL (MTL)
WAVES (WAVES)
ETHEREUM CLASSIC (ETC)
ZCASH (ZEC)
STRATIS (STRAT)

What do you think?
Don't get me wrong but I will like to remove BTC from that list and add up a few names like ADA and TRX which are equally gaining some momentum. XRP is just a centralized shit if govts legalizes crypto XRP stands no chance against the decentral crowd of cryptocurrencies. Moreover MTL and STEEM were just recently removed from Bittrex they have lost a great share of market cap after that. Don't know if they will be able to get the same momentum again.
86  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin price fluctuation on: January 16, 2018, 03:18:04 PM
People are just investing investing and investing without even properly knowing what are they actually getting into. Not much surprise that they are taking it merely as a crypto investment and not as a currency. If this foolish trend continues bubble you are mentioning is coming soon and the price fluctuation will just never cease to exist.
87  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why people keep trying new casinos? on: January 15, 2018, 06:28:00 PM
A lot of threads in gambling section are basically dedicated to scam accusations. They can be seen every day on the first page. The casinos about which people complain are usually new or known to be scamming people (one can easily check out the trust of members leading the respective ann threads to be assured in that). I don't understand why people deposit money onto new casinos and then complain that they scammed these people. I mean, there are lots of very trusted casinos offering a wide range of games, so why not to keep playing at them rather than some unknown risky ones?
Because people think its the casino that is not making them win or multiplying their money. Instead of realizing the fact that gambling is a game based on sheer luck they blame casinos for what they are experiencing that is why they change casino try the new ones to see whether they give a better return or not.
88  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which coin do you think is best for gambling? on: January 15, 2018, 06:23:22 PM
Dogecoin, Dogecoin and only dogecoin. May it be swift transactions speed, a low priced bet and a low cost coin. Dogecoin fulfills every expectation of your into gambling. In fact all I do is dogecoin gambling. Whenever I see a single dogecoin in my wallet they go straight to the bitsler for some multiplication. I can see no other coin fit for gambling as every coin is now too inflated.
89  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you feel shameful for being a gambler? on: January 15, 2018, 06:17:54 PM
Go guys!
In many cultures and countries is gambling consider as a bad thing which only the poorest and silliest ones do. Many gamblers try to hide that they gamble from their friends and families and feel really shameful for that. Do you consider gambling as a bad thing? Do you feel shameful or proud for being a gambler? If it is shame what you feel what do you about it? How do you hide you're a gambler and who do you hide it from?
Let others know!
When I just began with my gambling things I really felt ashamed of being a gambler thanks to our Indian hypocrite society which doesn't really embraces you if you are a gambler. But with time I have realized that I am quite a affluent gambler not like the street gamblers. I mean I gamble in cryptos and most of which is online. My real identity is not even disclosed to someone online. So there is no harm in doing gambling and no shame in doing so.
90  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your first betting? on: January 15, 2018, 06:14:45 PM
Some of us have known gambling since childhood. well, I want to ask you what your first bet is .... if I bet with my friend when playing snake ladder who will be the winner at that time. that's the way make me knowned about gambling.
I began with Indian premier League betting in my childhood. It was the time when it had just begun. It was the very first franchise based sport league of our country so naturally gained a lot of momentum among youth and gamblers. I remember everyone in our school made bets about almost everything from match decisions to spot winnings.
91  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: January 15, 2018, 06:12:14 PM
There is a under 19 world cup going on,if anyone interested in gambling this is the perfect time to make some good money as this is the first round of matches and you will get some good odds now and then.  Grin Coming to the test series between India and South Africa it is difficult for the Indian team to win or draw this match too with the batting display they showcased till now.

India is still trailing by 152 runs and only 5 wickets left at the end of day 2. Kohli is playing on 85. If he can stay till the end then India would be near SA score and this will be a boost to them as they would not be behind and then everything will depend upon 2nd inning total of both the teams.

India has scored 307 runs in their first innings and it is a very good come back from Indian batsman particularly Indian captain who scored 153 runs in this innings. Ashwin gave him good support at the lower end to score so many runs otherwise India wouldn't have reached this total. Now SA is leading by 28 runs and if they failed to score more runs in this innings then India may give a surprise in this match.
Saf leading by 96 runs now but rain interrupted the play. ABD is well set and looking dangerous, lead anything around 250 plus would be difficult to chase in the 4th innings. It's not easy to score on 4th and 5th day as pitch assist more to bowlers, India should restrict Saf to well within 200 then will have a chance to win the test.
SA lost early wickets but later they managed and played well the score is 90/2. ABD completed a half century, and Elgar is also batting well. Now SA is lead by 118 runs look like they can give 250+ runs target to India. If it crosses 250 runs, then India will be in the struggle. My prediction is this test also SA will win.
Yes its true ABD and Elgar have made a good ground today. ABD is looking in great touch while Elgar who was struggling now is looking comfortable too. If both of them continue to bat until lunch tomorrow India will already have lost the match. Moreover looking at the spin and lateral movement in the second innings I think anything over 250 would be a very difficult target.
92  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: transaction fee on: January 15, 2018, 06:03:06 PM
hi all anyone have good recommendation where there no transfer or admin charge apply when transferring BTC?
BTC network is based on a P2P structure which means that the benefit of whole transaction if just for both the sender and buyer and not for anyone who processes the transaction. But as per the network this person must also be paid adequately so here comes in the process of mining fees or transaction fees to be more precized. There is absolutely no exception from this fees for transactions made in BTC on the blockchain. You better try transaction in some other coins like NEO which have no fees or make off chain transactions for which you surely need to have the receiver on the very same page.
93  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin - Who missed the boat ? on: January 15, 2018, 05:54:44 PM
My friend told me about Btc when it was less that $90 per coin. It was in it's infancy and it was pretty much unknown. I was nervous about putting my hard earned cash in to it so shied away. Boy has it haunted me LOL

Anyone else have this non buyers remorse ?
Oh don't you ask my non buying remorse. I had an option to buy it when it was just near to $50. My cousin held a few which he got from doing some online work may be on this forum or so. He had around 2 BTC and asked me whether I want it for just $80 for two. I however mocked him for getting such a value less thing for work. To my surprise he has now earned a reimbursement of $30K for the same childish work that he did.

95  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cappuccino for bitcoins - how much should I charge? on: January 09, 2018, 08:56:20 PM
Please don't compare to dollars or any other currency. How do I come to a bitcoin price? Should it be based off of the cost to mine bitcoins?
Just don't unless you want your customers to pay more transaction fee than what is the cost of your coffee or they are willing to wait for hours to get it confirmed
96  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Microsoft Step Back on Bitcoin on: January 09, 2018, 08:53:58 PM
Microsoft has accepted Bitcoin as a form of payment for a long time.

Recently the company did a step back and remove the option to pay in Bitcoin.

The reasons specified :

1. High fee on transactions
2. Long delay to get confirmation of the transactions.
3. Extreme volatility
1.Currently true
2. Currently trueish
3. Doesn't matter to merchant it should be swapped to fiat immediately.

Come lightining 1 & 2 should be solved.
Why should someone swipe it for fiat? If they were looking for fiat we have direct paypals. People who are optimist will never sell btc because they are sure it will increase. Why will you sell something you are sure will be worth more the next day?

98  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Online purchases with Btc? on: January 09, 2018, 04:56:49 PM
I was looking at buying a miner with Btc - but I realized I have no guarantees at all about what I will get.  You know, with Amazon there's that return guarantee and all, but there's nothing with bitcoin.  If you order something, send the Btc, then don't receive the product, you can't ever get the Btc back - how do you know an online sale isn't actually a scam?

Thanks!
noob
This is a big demerit of decentralization. Its just you and the seller there is no third party who can provide you some security on the transaction. If you have any dispute with each other both will be at loss. However in BTC we generally solve these problems by taking help of a escrow or third party who holds fund until you receive the product.
99  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When to Buy bitcoin? on: January 09, 2018, 04:48:30 PM
Hi! ☺️ I just want to ask when to buy or sell bitcoin? I don't want to lose money.. I mean we can't avoid to lose if we're just beginner but atleast we can find ways to prevent it right?
Buy at every dip sell at very all time high. I generally go with this theory. People begin to faint once they see cryptos tripping down. They feel like there is some bubble bursting out. They regret their decisions later when BTC finally grows up strong. So buy once you see a good dip to get everlasting returns.
100  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think you are a gambling expert? on: January 09, 2018, 04:46:27 PM
I really doubt that someone can be a gambling expert. I mean gambling is sheer luck you can't just say that you are gambling pro if you win regularly. I would rather say you are a person with a very good fortune.

Moreover there is another thing that I have understood regarding BTC. Even if there is an expert gambler he/she surely isn't into gambling for sure.
