81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will you invest in ripple ? on: September 23, 2018, 04:47:46 AM
I will not invest in ripple. Profit is not everything and i do not support such a central system.
If you like decentralized coins like bitcoin, you should should not support ripple, but that is just my opinion.

Profit is everything.  I don't buy a coin, because I expect it to lose value, just because I like the idea of the coin.  If you can use a shitcoin to make yourself more bitcoin, so be it.
82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will you invest in ripple ? on: September 23, 2018, 04:46:18 AM
Should have bought it a week ago.  It has doubled since then.
83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Check your Electric Bill on: September 23, 2018, 04:32:38 AM
noone should be mining right now. You are almost all mining at a loss with no granted profit.

Show me a retard who constantly makes extreme generalized statements, and I'll show you a piskeante.

84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Easiest Crypto to Mine of 2018 on: September 15, 2018, 02:28:34 AM
I’ve attempted to mine a dozen or so different coins so far in 2018 and all of them have required for me to either disable antivirus or to mess around with the CMD prompts.

It's obviously dead.
87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining with Free Electricity on: September 06, 2018, 03:45:04 AM
If you choose GPU mining I think almost 1 year before you can break your ROI but it depends on the price of GPU.
For other option, if you are looking for fast and high profit go for ASIC like the other said this is now more profitable than GPU mining.  You can check real-time mining profitability for ASIC from here https://www.asicminervalue.com/

You have a lot of thinking to do  Grin Grin Grin
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Monero GPU mining, is it worth it? on: August 31, 2018, 01:48:00 AM

Here is the exact estimation of whattomine based on your exact specs (1x 1050ti) and a KW/H @ $0.10. By experience, you need to lower the estimation by ~15% (downtime, pool fee, miner fee, ...) and in your case, you will earn even less because you are powering "unnecessary accessories" (CPU, motherboard, ...) for only 1 GPU. So it won't make you rich anytime soon but don't give on the idea, mining will help you better understand another face of this crazy crypto world.

I think i just have to utilize my cpu power as well to mine monero on its current power (65h/s). Then try to run my gpu to mine other coins like bitcoingold

Is that even possible to mine 2 coins at the same time?

it means on every type/series of GPUs has advantages/disadvantages to some algorithm of coins. such as AMD series almost all excellent in EThash algo and NVIDIA excellent in Equihash algo. So he/she considers that 1050ti is not suitable for CN7 and NH often referred to as automatic coin switches.

I see hmm, i started researching to what equihash coin best to mine and it seems that bitcoin is the best one. Or do you have any suggestions?

Don't care about either of your ICO promo's ... Never heard of either of those shitcoins.  Still don't care.  If you think btc is an equihash coin, why did you ever invest your money in a losing ICO? Lol  Grin  Just keep investing in ICO's my friend ... Lol.
89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: At what price point people will stop mining? on: August 24, 2018, 10:19:51 PM
I understand it depends on electricity cost and other "future value" thinking but at what price point of ETH, people plan to stop rig?
yes, people "who might mine Ethereum will continue to do, for example they still have capital for electricity costs, and even though Ethereum prices are currently down and for example the results do not match the costs incurred, but a miner has thoughts and hopes that Ethereum prices will rise even higher.

That just doesn't make sense, if you mining and plan to hodl ETH you must think positive about its future price right?  Then why not buy with fiat and get more ETH out of it.

because they are stupid, same can be said about farmers, who are farming something and spending 25% or more instead of buying the thing they are farming. I myself have never seen a farmer farming something that cost more to produce than to buy. Farmers only farm things which are profitable around where i live.

Don't farmers in the United States get govt subsidies that more than cover their loses?
90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Good time to buy GPUs? on: August 24, 2018, 10:12:20 PM
Difficulty is too high, price is too low. FPGA are coming. Don't think that it is good time to buy GPUs. But one can find realy good prices Smiley
FPGA's boost in hashrate is relatively low than what ASIC's are capable of. With new GPU's coming out this september, we would see another hashrate jump again.

I just don't see new gpu's being a reason for a jump in difficulty.  Price and performance is going to prevent them from being mass bought for the sole purpose of mining.  Maybe I'm wrong, but I won't be buying any.
91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Good time to buy GPUs? on: August 23, 2018, 10:08:05 PM
I am not a professional miner, I just want to learn how to do it, to mine bitcoin. I was wondering when it was best to buy mining equipment. Perhaps now the bottom of bitcoin and the best time to buy equipment, is it?

yep you bet, this is one of the best time to buy a rig

its logical that price would be at its lowest in bear market as its also low on demands due to mining profitability

however, this threads are for GPU's

Bitcoin is for ASICs
Monero networkis quite big also , you never now there might come another pow coin which would clime up in marketcap and would be profitable to mine. And there is couple on the line gpu minable coins which are close to 1bilj marketcap which mainets havent been launched yet.

Right now would be great but once ether goes pos what do you mine?  When and if pos goes into effect all the ether hashing power is going to go to the other coins and make them all unprofitable.  I'd love to build more rigs but I can't convince myself their are going to be other coins worth mining.

Isn't Casper being delayed for two years, maybe a little less?  Sometime in 2020?
92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Which altcoin are easy to mineable? on: August 23, 2018, 10:01:45 PM
I don't know what the ICO price was but yeah, if you sold your ETN in December 2017 or Jan 2018, you did pretty good.  I mined it in December 2017 and traded about 75% of it by mid Jan 2018.  Still have a little bag, not even worth trading for BTC at this point.  The high was like 1300ish sats and now were at 100ish sats.  I have so little in comparison to other coins, that I really don't even care.  If it goes to nothing, oh well.  Might as well hold it.
I can not remember the time when I sold them but I remember I emptied my beg when the price was 680sat. I made nice profit. Then I bought back some (using some of my profit) when the price was 950ish I guess. This 950ish was the drop from the ATH 1600ish (it was not 1300ish by the way) so I thought market might go to peak again but since then market is going down.

I have the same feeling like you... I do not care about those coins since I already made some nice profit.

Oh you're right.  The earliest data coinmarketcap has on etn is Nov 2, 2017 and it's showing 1616 sats.
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: At what price point people will stop mining? on: August 23, 2018, 09:53:16 PM
If you spent $5 on electricity but only get $3 of XMR you're losing $2 of XMR you could have bought on an exchange. That's is completely irrespective of owning a miner or not.

...

If your goal is to make fiat money from crypto conversion, then it never makes sense to mine at a loss. NEVER.

I see your point and it is logically valid. Howerver, mining is almost never irrespective of owning a miner or not. It does make sense to simply buy from an exchange, but you may not be considering the factor that people who already have a miner, are already too invested to accept that they have lost. People who are mining at a loss are probably still in denial or are too lazy or passive to realize that they need to sell their equipment.

Yes I think it's logical to stop mining at losss.  But selling the rig or not is another question.

My thought is sell now, if you're shutting off your rigs.  Why let them lose value while mining difficulty continues to rise while they are sitting there doing nothing and you are gaining nothing?
94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: At what price point people will stop mining? on: August 23, 2018, 09:50:21 PM
My colleagues with the electricity cost now are only making about 30-40 dollars profit from a rig and they almost want to sell because they are were expecting big profits like anybody else. I told them to wait and to consider these money as a lost investment while they are still running and still bringing little profits.

They are very grumpy now at the office to each other and blaming a bit me ,which I am only their IT and I take care of their miners, I didn't convince them to buy rigs, so this shows that maybe the end of Gpu mining is really near.

That's actually kind of funny, because they probably did very little research and thought they were going to make 10usd/day with a 1080ti forever and ever.

Everyone didn't expect to make huge profits.  If you're mining now, you better be thinking long-term.  If you don't believe in crypto on that level, get out.  That or just continue to be grumpy ... Lol.
95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Which altcoin are easy to mineable? on: August 23, 2018, 01:33:02 AM
The altcoins that are easier to mine are cryptonight coins hands down ,there miners are easy to configure too, coins like etn ,haven ,italo ,lines ,stellite  are very easy to mine.

Hahahaha.  ETN ... HAHAHAHA ... WTF?  Someone doesn't know what the fuck is going on.  Please buy more!  I will dump on you.
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Which altcoin are easy to mineable? on: August 22, 2018, 11:27:01 PM
Is ETN stands for Electroneum?
Yes it is LOL
I invested in there ICO and then when the price was 300%ish then I sold them. It was a good deal for me. I also bought back some using some of my profit and since then it now 80% down LOL. I was a lucky one I would say  Grin

There are too many crypto now a day, don't mind no knowing all of them.

No the market is still way too high, also with the upcoming release of the 11 series I think you are better off waiting.

I'd pass on the new cards at the current prices, to be honest.  If I were going to buy gpu's right now (which I'm not), I would try to find deals on 1080ti's or Vega's.
98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: At what price point people will stop mining? on: August 22, 2018, 05:12:03 PM
mining ETH is just unprofitable right now. Most of the people are actually mining at a loss, and have been doing it for quite a long time now.

Reality is people are blind, deaf , stupid , greedy and with plenty of FAITH with no reason.

Many people are still mining because THEY THINK this situation will not last longer. Reality is this situation is going to extend probably months and the market will never ever recover, specially if , as it has been said , SEC will Deny the activity of ETF

Not only this. Even if this situation is being UNPROFITABLE, it's still doable if you mine with ASIC and that shit, because even at current prices, Network hashrate is increasing. I don't see people investing thousands of dollars on mining ETH just for 10-15$ per month of profit. it makes no fucking sense at all.

So, low prices + market destroyed + increase in hashrate, this can be only due to ASICS, that they can get more profit due to more hashrate at more electricity efficiency.

The more the hashrate goes Up, the less profit you get. I will not tell you what to do, but to continue mining is just a very bad decision, and youŽll be penalized for it. Hope so. Some people deserve to learn it the hardest way possible.

If you don't believe in cryptocurrency, why are you still here? Lol.  Go play water polo or something.  I think this situation will last longer.  I think it's very possible for us to continue moving sideways into next summer.  I also think there is a possibility that we could reach a bottom in Oct/Nov and begin to consolidate.

A bitcoin etf in the usa will eventually happen.  I don't see it happening this year, but I believe it will happen.  Better question is will a physical backed bitcoin etf get pushed though?  Just an FYI, the SEC never said they plan to deny any and all crypto etf proposals.  I know you don't understand how this process works, but stop spreading mis-information.

You're pretty salty today.  How much $ have you lost?
99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Good time to buy GPUs? on: August 22, 2018, 03:05:17 PM
Been mining for almost 1.5 years now. As time goes, so is my GPU count. Built 2 nvidia powered rigs, up and running smoothly. BTC prices are so unpredictable, and so are the altcoin prices which are almost a reflection of what BTC has become today. nvidia might launch new gpus anytime sooner or may be longer than expected. My doubt is that, once a new range of gpus are launched, the older gpus will be out of circulation, right? Well in that case older gpus will not be available then. And for the new gpus, the price will never look similar to the older ones. So, is it really the right time to buy gpus which is available for cheaper price [not so much] in my city? [provided BTC will not suffer much in the coming months] or should I choose not to buy now?

why dont you pick up the new NVIDIA RTX2070 or 2080? screw the older GPUs get on board with the NEW stuff before the prices double  http://www.alphr.com/technology/1009804/nvidia-geforce-gtx-2080-release-date

Currently too expensive for the performance.
100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ANN]HashAltcoin F1 miner,NO Pre-order,Most efficient altcoin miner than GPU on: August 21, 2018, 11:14:35 PM
I'm sure the the picture is not of Bitmain miner. We design the similar outter box for adapting the miner slots in the farm.
F1 miner has 'ears', with three big Capacitances which you can found in the picture., the inner boards are totally different with ant miner

Post high resolution pictures of those boards. Post high resolution pictures of the miner, assembled and disassembled from all angles. Post high resolution video of your mining farm zooming in on multiple miners. Send one or more samples for review to trusted forum members.

It's not not an easy way to gain confidence, we will consider your suggestion based on protecting our IP to find a proper way to do this.
Before these things to be done, our free trial is available in recent two days, you can mine the supported altcoin without any cost for several hours, hope you will enjoy it

Ok ... Why not invite one of the trusted higher profile YouTube miners to visit your farm and do a video?  Vosk, BBT, The Technicals ... All of those people have mining farms and are highly respectable.
