Please Be Patient for High Res Images to Load Smiley

Posting on behalf of a close friend, who lives near me, who is selling a few of his pieces as he currently doesn't have the room to display them. This Poster is a Six Sheet Original, measuring 81 x 81", for "War of the Worlds".

He is selling this particular piece because he is moving and does not have the proper space to display it in his new home. This poster was obtained from the private collection / estate auction of actor Bruce Willis. Fully documented; from one of the Top 3 Auction Houses Worldwide, verified with all documents.

The poster was purchased in VF condition on Linen. After purchase; he contacted the auction house about the linen age/having it re-backed and having additional restoration work done.

Through the auction house, he was put in contact with their restorationist, who took the poster, and had the following done:  Debacking from Linen; Wash, Re-LinenBacking to new Museum Acid Free Rag, the alignment on the 6 sections is fantastic. Light touchup work was done using watercolor restoration methods. He had it backed with an additional 8" of canvas all the way around, and then the canvas (not the poster), was painted with black paint to cover the frame which was custom built by the restorationist to display it with the look of having a black border.

Six Sheets are difficult to frame, because glass and plexi are hard to find in 81" widths. Most Six and Three Sheets are displayed using the frame method used here.

I/He is not sure if this piece was displayed in Mr. Willis' home, or was perhaps one of the display pieces in Planet Hollywood, which after closing, all the movie props/posters were split up between Bruce Willis, Sylvester Stallone, and Arnold Schwarzenegger.  However, it was owned by Willis, who put it up for sale through the auction house where my friend purchased it.

The poster has since been on display in various galleries and studios and is now rolled and ready for auction.

The pictures speak for themselves. The poster is in exceptional condition, and would be graded as VF / VF+ Condition.

The frame is also included, which was custom built and assembles with the provided hardware.

The pictures speak for the piece itself. For a serious collector or someone with a space/home that has large walls that can accomodate such a piece.

I offered to post this item for him here considering BTC's high price.

The poster will be shipped in the original tubes used by the restorationist/auction house. They are 88" PVC tubes 8" in diameter with PVC Caps. They are crush proof. Shipping is available WORLDWIDE through buyers choice of insured and bonded carrier.

PRICE: $17,500 USD, BTC ACCEPTED / ESCROW OK BUT PLEASE CONTACT ME

Postage credit of $300 will be given to buyer, the remaining shipping and transit costs to be paid by buyer.  Poster and Frame will be shipped separately in two 8 foot 8" PVC Tubes with Caps.

Shipping Insurance Required.  Available to ship worldwide.

For additional information on the piece, please contact me via PM, I can either put you in touch directly with the Seller or answer the questions myself if I can.

Cheers!

82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AEON [2017-04-23: update to 0.9.12.0] on: July 05, 2017, 02:52:37 PM
Does anyone know what happened to the hash rate? It went from 4Mh/s down to 2.75Mh/s. Why the sudden drop?

The coin is abandoned by the dev, the price went down, so it became unprofitable to mine Aeons.

And I don't now if you noticed, even though the overall hash rate went down, the complexity of the blocks is pretty high. I know at least a couple of other CPU coins 2x more profitable than Aeons. so, why would one mine it if he could simply mine something else - sell it and then buy x2 more Aeons for the same hashrate

Right now the speculative people who don't care about mining and a real coin price in relation to HASH per $, dropped the price, so unless the price goes back to 24K the coin is doomed. Big holders of the coin should consider setting a buy wall at 22K on hitbit, it would benefit everyone, and bring back the miners

And to be honest, there is no reason right now, for Aeon price on hitbit to be so low, and there is no reason for bittrex to maintain the wallet for so long, so I guess, either bittrex doing this intentionally or out of negligence, you pick one, because there are no technical issues with the block chain right now it works flawlessly.

I read the same elsewhere. Bittrex is actually (from what I heard so this is just hearsay), not running a fully operational wallet. While coins in Bittrex are still being traded; there is no way to move coins in or out of the Bittrex exchange. Most people have probably not caught on yet to this fact.

With the DEV having moved on; if Bittrex delists; the coin will fall into oblivion like so many have.

83  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: STRATO'S JULY SALE - EVGA 1300W G2 / Corsair PSU Units / Risers & GPUs on: July 05, 2017, 11:41:29 AM
depending on what you want for the "every cable you need" combo, I could take one or more of those 1200i's

ideally just maxxed out pci-e 6+2 connectors, the heavy duty power cable and a bitmain switch...probably exactly how you're running them.

throw in a few powered risers for the heck of it and I wouldn't complain...never enough risers.

Just PM'd you.  The power risers are no problem I could throw some in... along with a Bitmain Antswitch for each PSU. Let me know your thoughts!

Cheers!

84  Economy / Computer hardware / STRATO'S JULY SALE - EVGA 1300W G2 / Corsair PSU Units / Risers & GPUs on: July 05, 2017, 09:57:33 AM
Time to sell a bunch of my PSUs and some GPUs!

I am prepping for sale all of my EVGA 1300W G2 Power Supply Units.   All of the units are super clean; no dust (they were run in a cold server room with HEPA); and have lots of life left in them.

Because things got a bit "jumbled" when we took down our rigs; it's going to be a major hassle to re-box each PSU with every matching cable (that should be included) as a NIB/OEM item.

THAT SAID:

If you are interested in super clean; low hour; EVGA 1300W G2 PSUs; CORSAIR RM 850W PSUs, CORSAIR RM 1000W PSUs, and I have (3) AX1200i PSU Units - without EVERY cable; but rather:  "The specific cables you need". Please shoot me an offer via PM or feel free to ask questions here.

I have roughly      (20) EVGA 1300W G2 PSUs
                             (12) CORSAIR RM 850W PSUs
                             (16) CORSAIR RM 1000W PSUs
                             (3) CORSAIR AX1200i PSUs

I can include the original power box; warranty card/information in the box; original packaging; D Plug (AC); Motherboard ATX Power Cord; and a CUSTOM set of PCI 8 Pin to 6+2 or PCI-E 8 Pin to Dual 6+2/6 Cables... And include whatever Molex/SATA cables you need. (Most people like myself; had no use for 75% of the cables in the box as we were running Antminers or GPUs off them; so all the extra cables went into big plastic bins.

I can also include the Genuine Bitmain AntSwitch for the PSU which gives you on/off capability via a jumper switch with a RED LED.

Lastly; we still have some 270x Cards; Mostly Radeon brand; and a number of 270 non x cards. (All 280x cards are claimed).

Simply shoot me a PM with what you'd be interested in; and I can fire back a fair price... Please check my Feedback. I've made lots of trades here and on EBay... However listing these on EBay will be tough because it will involve pairing each PSU with the exact number of correct cords--- which is something most here don't need; and I don't really have the time to do.

I am fine escrow; or if you have lots of + feedback 1/2 up 1/2 on delivery (as I have done many trades).  Or we can post the item on Ebay and you can buy it there if you prefer a non-BTC trade.

Thanks for looking!

Cheers!

P.S.  Photos of the units will follow in the next day or so... I'll add them to the thread as soon as I get back into the shop.

Any news, what is going on with the coin? Should we stop mining?
The mining stopped to be profitable, the price dropped to 15k and will continue to collapse to 5-7K in a day or two, so the coin is kinda living its last days. Anyone still mining?

There is no one else then you to decide to mine or not to mine. If you really cant decide just flip a coin. Sometimes some decisions are not worth to spend to much time on them. I wish someone made a physical AEON till now I could flip that one for my AEON decisions.
Myself, I mine Aeon (and other coins) not for immediate profit, but with the expectation that the price will be much higher in the future.

So I'm definitely going to keep mining for now.

At this point, community contributions are the best thing to increase the value of the coin. The community has really expanded recently.

Crypto entered into hype 3 months ago. All crypto communities that hopes to survive should expand. AEON had one boost in mid 2016 and another now. We should also note that privacy is right now not hot in crypto. But it will get hot sooner or latter again.

Agreed; while I personally don't need privacy aspects (having done most transactions using Purse; and the major brokers for BTC); I think we will see a surge in privacy demand moving forward. With the political aspects of privacy in general moving towards a very "no information is protected"; it will be interesting to see how the digital currency economy balances the demands of what people want; and what can actually be done; knowing that most "private" channels regarding anything in the digital age are anything but private.
86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AEON [2017-04-23: update to 0.9.12.0] on: July 05, 2017, 09:30:54 AM
In our tests (for our upcoming alt-coin release in Q4 2017); we're able to get roughly 2950 h/s on a dual E5-2697 V2 system.

This is running the AEON STAK CPU miner as a single instance (we've tried running two instances with each instance set with fixed CPU core affinities - but a single instance seems to be about the same - this -- running on 42 Threads out of 48 in HyperThread Mode.

This leaves 6 Threads Open for system overhead and the GPU Miner.

We can successfully inch out 1100 H/s on a single GTX Titan with no overclocking.

So combined the GPU/CPU combo is pulling roughly 4 K/h average. This is consistent across all 5 workstations.

Using AEON-POOL; we've been playing with various fixed difficulties for both the CPU and GPU; a nice feature of this pool; and a feature we plan to implement on our roll out.

Above information is for reference only. Realizing our workstations have a lot of cores but slower clock speeds than the newer I7 (even the 2600K overclocked is far faster per thread); wondering how the new I9 processors will handle the multi-threading with mining... The new Intel I9 at 10 Cores looks blazing fast, but price point is going to be > $1000.

Curious how some of the legacy cards are performing... anyone have any 270x and 280x cards running these latest builds?  We have stacks of cards but have yet to put back together any systems to test. Wondering if it's worth the effort.

Cheers!

Also, I still have about 24 or so S3+ Units left, with PSUs. They all work, were batch 7. I know this post is off topic here - but you said you are looking to buy S3+ units.

All of mine work great. I could cube them into 6 packs and freight them to you. I'm in the Virgina/DC area.

I have turnkey setups for the S3+ miners, the PSUs, cables, antswitches. Just shelved it when I upgraded.

Let me know, if you'd like to talk more.

I can send photos.

I would also take into consideration the way it would be viewed if/when you were found out.

I had a similar situation, a large amount of Amps, included in a commercial lease (like large amount). So we ran miners a few years back.

Well, the landlord did catch on. I stood my ground, as my company has research and development liceneses for technology from the state where I live.... HOWEVER,

The average Joe knows nothing about Bitcoin, except it's used to buy drugs and fund terrorism... This really is truth, most people, like landlords, know nothing but the few news stories they've heard on CNN.

So if you get caught- what honestly was most uncomfortable was not me arguing that I pay fair market rate for my lease, on time, every month, and the AC was included- but rather I honestly felt my landlord, whom I had (and still do now) have a good relationship with... did view this as "very suspicious / criminal activity). And then others found out, because people talk. And before you know it, I literally had people I work with in the area bringing it up "Hey heard something about... man don't go down that road, all that kind of talk".

Just a thought. The way it is viewed by the general public is nefarious, of no good use (which of course isnt true). But you may end up realizing the AC usage was the least damaging part--- rather your reputation.

Cheers,

I have a new, unused Tripplite PDUMV-30HV  https://www.amazon.com/Tripp-Lite-Vertical-Rack-Mount-PDUMV30HV/dp/B0012VN0I0

30A 208/240V

I actually purchased here on Bitcointalk to run my rigs... BUT (you can see it in my feedback/trust). But I didn't realize at the time of purchase I only have one receptical (the larger plug) for my washer/dryer combo... so it's sat unused.  I had no place to plug it in.

The person I bought it from sold it to me sealed in the original box, it was unopened. He bought it from Amazon.

I don't have the box any longer, but it's been wrapped in protective seal on the shelf since. I could box and ship out if interested. Simply make me a fair offer. I have some heavy duty cardboard tubes. I can ship it that way. Please factor shipping from 20903 ZIP.  I prefer you to just email me a PDF airbill for USPS or UPS/FEDEX that I can use to just ship it to you... then you can be in control of the shipment/tracking etc.

Cheers!

91  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTB Wifi PSU switch? on: December 09, 2016, 07:55:37 PM
Just offering some insight here, and things may have changed from a year ago when I personally was looking for a similar option... to either be able to remotely power down, or to reset systems if the systems froze. The PSUs/UPS type systems that do this tend to be on the pricey side. Some recommended using a Raspberry Pi and to basically project box a device to trigger the reset on the motherboards.

An option to consider, might be something like the Wemo devices, if you are ok with hard offs and hard ons (not safe shutdowns through software); and to pair the basic Wemo Wifi Plug AC switch with an Amazon Echo.

You can use the Echo to control the Wemo to turn on and off remotely. You can also set up a basic IFTTT Applet to follow rules.

Now if you wanted to go a step further, to control a group of miners and do safe shutdowns, and boots:

Just again, thinking about how to do this for a reasonable amount of money especially if you have a lot of machines:

Wemo powering a system not mining, any old laptop or PC, with a set IP. This system runs nothing, just sits on or off.

Echo paired to Wemo. You can trigger the AC Wemo with you iPhone or IFTTT.

You write a small script and compile it into an EXE or BAT file; (this would be for GPU rigs running an OS), that you put in the StartUp folder, so it runs on startup.

 - Script Pings Static IP on "AC System" on intervals of say every 5 minutes.
 - Script loops if Ping doesnt timeout.
 - If AC computer has been triggered to off state, and is offline, Script runs a standard "shutdown" sequence through Windows/OS, or reboots.
 - If All Rigs are off, you could use a separate StartUp script, installed on AC system, to "wake on lan" all the other systems (miners), which would be turned on after you Wemo AC the AC system on.

That's my two cents on this. The options to do this unfortunatley, at least as of a year ago, were so limited. The cheapest item I found was a $400 device that allowed for basically every thing above... but only on 1 breaker (20 Amps)... it wouldn't actually wire into motherboards, it did it all over your network to do the shutdowns and WOL.

Hope this helps... And again, perhaps things have changed in the last year and now a product exists.

Negative feedback already removed.
It's not funny,
I do not know why you are so wrong react. How do you react if someone real hack you account and take 1btc loan,
After all, the responsibility to remain in you. So you should thanks to everyone who took care of the security of your account Smiley

Yes and of course thank you for fixing that. Sorry I think a lot of it comes down to a matter of perspective, where I view 1 BTC as an insignifigant amount in terms of risk, I can, and realize I need to be more aware that in fact the amount is not what matters, so I hope there is no ill will between us. I understand the feedback, and certainly appreciate everyone making sure it was removed quickly.

Hi I realize this is way late, sorry been AFK for a bit. But no it worked out. The seller held the item with no deposit just based on promise to send payment in full later that week, and based on my trust, so it all worked out. I just didn't want to lose the item, and at that specific moment had no access to BTC in any easy way. But thank you! If the need ever arises again, I will keep you in mind Smiley

Hey Everyone,

Sorry, haven't been on much. I am selling my beach house, and have been helping Mom and Dad with my grandmother to top that... needless to say, I've been busy.

I do understand the "knee jerk" reaction, to a point- I guess I was rather surprised, having never (in I think 3 three years being a member on this forum) ever once asking for a loan of any amount, but all my BTC was either tied up, in trades, or in vaulted storage with time limits to release... long story, I needed a small (I think I asked for 1 BTC I'd have to check) which was just to put down a good faith deposit on an item I wanted to buy.

I posted the ad in the lending forum, went out to dinner, and checked back a bit later to find red feedback on my profile. So I was a bit upset.

Then.... long story short: I couldn't figure out which wallet I used like 2 years ago to "verify" to use to sign. So it was a bit of a hassle.

But I do understand. And I do think it's a good thing- especially with members in good standing/long term/default trust, those accounts should be carefully guarded by the community.

But perhaps - and this is just a though, rather than RED, which I think is viewed specifically as negative/beware... people who want to warn of potential hacked accounts, should use NEUTRAL feedback, until the situation has been worked out.

I appreciate of course everyone looking out for my account. My account is tied to a fairly consistent IP when I'm just working at home, and a specific proxy list if at work, and an EMAIL, and I have multiple BTC addresses linked, as well as transaction history in the PMs I could use to prove ownership with say Mods/Theymos, if it really came down to it.

I guess I was just a bit shocked to see multiple Red feedback, when I had simply inquired about "a possible 2 day loan" (which I didn't even need I just wanted to get the guy the deposit to hold the item - he held it on good faith so it all worked out).

Again, just food for thought, but perhaps Neutral is there for a reason, red specifically for negative/beware, Neutral, for well, "maybe", and green/positive for exactly that.

Just my take, but again, thanks to all, for looking out for my account, and sorry if I came off as brash or upset. I've been dealing with mortgage companies and real estate agents, etc etc, my stress was already high lol.

Cheers guys!
