81  Local / India / Re: India proposes AI-powered conversational payments system — RBI on: August 17, 2023, 09:42:51 PM
To enable users to engage in conversation with AI-powered systems to make payment. With the objective of harnessing new technologies for enhancing digital payments, the RBI has proposed enabling 'conversational payments' on UPI, which will enable users to engage in conversation with AI-powered systems to make payments.

Full article

Good thing is India is moving towards the trends and try to adopt AI into the monetary system but unfortunately I can't find relevant information about how this will actually works cause all I can see is about UPI LITE which is an already existing feature over a year which is used to make offline UPI payments but still can't able to relate with AI integration.

Any thoughts?
Even though I support whenever any government thinks of progressive tech but I don't really get this Idea. Why is AI needed for Conversational payments? There is no brain needed for Conversational payments. You just say you want to pay 500 INR to anyone it should automatically pay it just like any other audio device like Alexa. Moreover isn't it dangerous? Yes AI might use voice recognition system to avoid that hacking but AI Can easily be used to even replicate someone's voice. So I don't really understand the point of this innovation?
82  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Scalpers and day traders, what makes you to make profit in trading? on: August 17, 2023, 09:36:21 PM
I have been trading with just just $500 for a long time now, the story was a success, but the profit is minimal. With $500, the day gain can be as low as $1 to $2.5. No leverage than 1x to start. But I will go up not more than 3x to 5x max while losing to let the entry price with the mark price become closer for better profit.

But there are days that are not favorable and I left the position opened if it is still just 1x.

Increasing the leverage increases the risk and the closer the liquidation, but 5x is still good.

This makes trading to be positive for me as I do not use too much leverage that has been making me to lose and lose in trading.

What are you strategies that trading has been profitable for you?
5x is actually good leverage. But it's always better to put leverage only in Bitcoin and at maximum I could say Ethereum because you know that only these two currencies will at least respect some supports when they begin to fall other than that I have seen a lot of currencies falling madly and people getting ripped off everything. Obviously, Stop loss can help but when it comes to leverage trading you can't risk anything. There can be chances you never hit your limit stop loss and the market stop loss might sell your assets at a very low price.
83  Economy / Economics / Re: Netherlands enters a technical recession on: August 17, 2023, 09:32:31 PM
A "technical recession" is formally announced when a country's GDP falls for two consecutive quarters. The Dutch GDP fell by -0.4% during the first quarter, followed by another fall of 0.3%, bringing it into a technical recession by the official defintion.

But it's not techncially a recession. It's worse, it's actually Stagflation because inflation is also high sitting at 6.0%. They probably don't want the general public to know what caused the Stagflation and keep blaming it on the "supply side" of things.

https://think.ing.com/snaps/the-netherlands-in-technical-recession/

Another country, Hungary, has also announced to be going through the longest "technical recession".

https://think.ing.com/snaps/longest-technical-recession-on-record-in-hungary/

But like the situation in the Netherlands, Hungary's inflation is very high at 20%. That's true Stagflation - a time when the monetary and economic systems are out of control.
This is a pretty bad situation to be in. Honestly recession is something that I feel is cyclic, no matter what are the government policies or economic strength of a country it will eventually come & it will eventually haunt everyone. However, Stagflation is a human error. Errors made by the policy makers who did not completely understand the intensity of the situation and made incorrect decisions, because recession can be forecasted and if it's already forecasted it's a wise decision to make sure you don't have high inflation, which too can be easily managed by controlling interest rates & fiscal measures. With 20% inflation situation can get even worse as unemployment kicks in eventually.
84  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: exchanges with lowest fees and lowest spread on: August 06, 2023, 09:27:12 PM
What are the best options right now for scalping (important that the exchange has a low spread and a low fee...)

Right now I am using bingx and this is the fee they charge me:

Position of 102 dollars in the pair BTC/USDT I was charged a commission of 0.04608 to open and a commission of 0.04608 to close ...(for those who do day trading will seem a low fee but it is difficult to be profitable scalping with these fees ....

I live in Spain and we are not allowed to use bybit and binance futures ....any other options

how much would I have paid in other exchanges for a position of 102 dollars? and do those exchanges have a better spread than bingx?

To be honest, lowest spread and fees especially in futures also, I have seen only in Binance, but as you are saying it doesn't works in your country your best bet will be OKX and Kucoin. Fees is definitely low but spread isn't that low but overall you'll find it great trading here. Even Bitget has been used by a lot of people so that can be an option as well. Apart from these the spreads will be too much even if you save in fees you'll pay in slippage.
85  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: August 06, 2023, 09:23:43 PM
West Indies is really good in T20 format cricket, the first match result of five match series proved it. Now the second match result have proven that West Indies team is king of T20. In the first match West Indies scored 149 runs and defended India and won by 4 runs. This time West Indies have chased the target of 152 runs with 7 balls remaining. Nicholas Pooran played an awesome innings scoring 67 runs from 40 balls which were the important scores for winning.
I think this series has given India selectors a big reality check that their bench strength is literally zero. Making a team full of 11 big stats who played best in IPL is never going to work. If you see it in a way its just the big 3 players that are missing, out of which I consider Rohit pretty much out of form from long. is Indian team again going towards the path where only 1 person makes it win and it's Kohli?
86  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A advise to my friend about his decision on: August 06, 2023, 09:21:08 PM
Many people lack basic knowledge of bitcoins.
I became interested in this topic when I learned that a friend of mine was so ignorant of bitcoin that he recently received bitcoins from his father, but he had no idea what to do with them. As a result, he tried to reject the inheritance and was spared from having to argue with the lawyer who was reading the deceased father's will, which was being read aloud. Why wouldn't someone, he insisted, give him some houses and perhaps some cash so he could launch a new business?

But while his father decided to give him bitcoins, my friend was furious and even left the house because he believed his late father had given him some money out of hate for him. When my friend came to my house to tell me the story, I encouraged him to collect the coins and learn more about bitcoins, and he was furious to listen to me until I started the show and started explaining it to him. At that point, he was happy and walked back.

Hahah this is really funny. If this would have been about technicality of bitcoin I still would have given a complete benefit of doubt to him but what is he living under the rocks? Everyone Atleast knows that bitcoin is a valuable asset which has a significant value almost equal to house or hard cash. Strange how such people still exist in 21st century. He might even be getting much larger chunk of inheritance if it was in bitcoin and in most of the countries today it's even tax free.
87  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Importance of Gambling to the society on: August 05, 2023, 09:21:53 PM
This board has a lot of topic that comprises with the negativity about gambling addiction. Let’s change it for now to support the casino we are promoting here.

Gambling is important to the society because it provides huge taxes that government use on hospitals, infrastructure and other projects to help its citizens. Monacco country is popular with their casino but they don't allow its citizen to play. This shows how important gambling in their country because they still allowed to operate it even though they don't want citizens to be involved.

In our country, Our lottery use the proceeds to donate on the health center that provides free health service to our citizens.

Even if gambling commonly view as negative by commoner. Many didn't notice how big is the contribution of gambling to the society.

What is the benefits of gambling to your society?
This is not a great argument. If we just want to earn taxes out of anything, why don't legalize recreational drugs and tax them heavily just the way we do ciggerates. I think as we are developing as a society we are moving towards a healthier and responsible society and no matter how much we say, gambling cannot be justified as a good thing for society. Yes It's fun but definitely not a good thing, simple reason is because it's easy to get addicted to it and lose everything.
88  Local / India / Re: why indians afraid to invest in crypto on: August 05, 2023, 09:16:36 PM
many indian young people are lazy they want everything without doing anything. most of them follow big people or big influencers like warren buffet, some indian business coach like vivek bindra, etc.
they say bitcoin have no base, bitcoin is ponzi, bitcoin is a bubble, etc. and people listen them and be convinced that bitcoin is ponzi and spread every where like in friend circles, family, etc.
they do not do their own research, lazy people...

most of the big crypto youtuber are also don't have good understanding of bitcoin, they just search for crypto news on google and scroll every article and tell... there they done that, there they done that, this will pump, this will dump, etc. i quite watching those fake fuc*ing youtubers
I think a big reason is a negativity coming from Government, first, the government of India gives its stance against cryptos which obviously makes the TV media houses report it in that way, then people turn to youtube to look for extra knowledge then these so-called YouTubers & business coaches give their negative opinion around bitcoin to get quick views because the government said so. All these create a negative aura around bitcoin and people can then not think of buying cryptos. Also, another fact is the cyclic nature of bitcoin itself. Indians always have that tendency to be very safe with their money. For them even stock markets was for long just a way of losing money and most of the people started investing in last 4-5 years only. So cryptos which gives quick returns but also falls very quickly is a nightmare.
89  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you rather start/grow a business from scratch or buy an existing business? on: August 05, 2023, 09:10:48 PM
I don't really have much to say as regards to this post. It is just an avenue to hear your thoughts on which is better to invest both time, energy and resources in, mostly for a season as this, where we are experiencing economic uncertainty and ill-timed government banking policies.

So, given that the resources are available or not and you are presented with the opportunity to start/grow or buy an existing business just like Elon Musk, which option is more preferential and benefitial to you?

I think it depends on the situation and nature of the business. So if it's a business in which entry into the market is easy, which means the setup is not that cumbersome process to do then obviously it's better to start your new business. For eg. by providing software services to big companies, here you can provide a better product and easily make your name in the market. However, if it's a consumer product like a cosmetic business, it does take some time to actually build your rapport therefore it'll be better to buy that rapport at a fair price. Similarly some people like to buy the setup & Network because it's difficult to create that setup & Network.
90  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If one like decentralization they will surely want Bitcoin? on: August 05, 2023, 08:11:11 PM
I have tried talking to people about Bitcoin but a higher number of them don't show any interest, they have idea what Bitcoin is but they don't see any reason to join the train so I am thinking, to cut short my time and energy, do you think it's better to talk about decentralization first?

Is it right to say that if anyone doesn't like decentralization they can never like Bitcoin?

I am not trying to force anyone into Bitcoin but people never stop asking me how I am making money for myself and most of my income comes from Bitcoin trading, as you can see, I have no choice but to teach about Bitcoin if I feel like helping someone out.
I don't think so. Even bitcoin today isn't that much decentralized as we expected it to be. Yes it runs on its own and obviously, the transaction approval process is altogether decentralized but KYCs have messed up everything. Eventually, governments can track people through KYCs and force them to reverse the transactions. This means a central authority might not be able to interfere on the chain itself but it can manipulate or even force people using the chain to do actions against their will. But yes if a person even hates decentralized payment processing then obviously, why would he like Bitcoin?
91  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: August 04, 2023, 05:08:44 PM
I think it is time for ICC to actually let go of test cricket. Instead of spending time and resources on test cricket, I think they really should spend those things for the t20 format. In this day and age, everyone wants to see the winning team have more skill compared to luck.
I don't think the ICC will ever get rid of test cricket since the recent Ashes has proven that it still has a sizeable audience who are willing to watch them despite all of the problems associated with it.

T-20 format is definitely a lot more entertaining in comparison, but the test format is special in its own way.

Once in a while we get a competitive series such as the Ashes, Border Gavaskar or the Trans-Tasman. But 90% of the test series nowadays are uncompetitive and one-sided. Only the pig-4 can afford to play test cricket nowadays, as top players are being poached by dozens of franchise T20 leagues around the world. And even among the pig-4, New Zealand is showing fatigue during the last couple of years (and that has a lot to do with the retirement of Trent Boult). Overall, I don't feel very optimistic about the future of test cricket.
Very true. Infact the sad part is that it's now just big 4, earlier even South Africa was a competitive side who used to be part of this list, if not the best they were once the second best team in the world. Now after the bigs guns retiring and remaining focusing on just T20. Even though India lost to South Africa last time when we played a test series I doubt that the result would be same if a series happens now.
92  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are crypto currency exchanges doing to foster crypto adoption? on: August 04, 2023, 05:04:45 PM
I can't count on my fingers, the numerous barriers posing as hindrance to the wider range of crypto adoption in various countries or globally.

-We have a lack of understanding of crypto and blockchain as a major barrier.
-Security concerns: Fear of getting hacked or scammed.
-The volatile nature of cryptocurrencies: Losing funds due to the volatile nature of cryptocurrencies.
-Regulatory concerns.
-Poor user experience but to name a few.

We can argue that the crypto industry is still relatively new, but what roles are exchanges playing or what are they doing to foster its adoption amidst these various challenges?
Why would Cryptos exchange want to foster crypto adoption? I mean crypto adoption is something when you pay for your services and goods using Cryptos. Crypto exchanges run for their business. Their business is to make people think that cryptos can be used to make quick money and that's what they advertise. Talking about regulatory concerns also their role is to make sure that they ensure people feel safe legally when transacting on the exchanges, while depositing and withdrawing.
93  Local / India / Re: Uber shines light on acceptance of bitcoin on: August 04, 2023, 04:59:37 PM
I don't think Uber will start it worldwide anyways. Initially it'll just be in American or probably European countries which are slightly crypto friendly and only after it is able to asses the success of this payment method that it'll bring to other countries. problem isn't only on the customer side, governments will be afraid that Uber might take away it's earnings directly outside the country using Cryptos and no country would want that to happen.

Yes, you are correct they will experiment with Bitcoin payment system most probably in Europe or in South America. Depending on the success of this payment system they would do a systematic roll out globally. I still don't think they would be able to use it in India. I do agree such a gesture by Uber would help Bitcoin mass adoption though.
I don't think mass adoption will be this easy, first thing is how convenient will they be able to make this payment system. Because if you see bitcoin fees and transaction times are pretty high. Which means no one would be willing to pay additional fees for their ride fare unless they deeply want to pay using bitcoin. Also the time is an issue as well, so practical issues is always something that I look forward to whenever someone talks about bitcoin mass adoption.
94  Economy / Economics / Re: The whales stirred. What should we expect? on: August 04, 2023, 04:55:44 PM
The whales stirred. What should we expect?

Judging by the information coming in, a lot of ancient "crypto whale" wallets that have not created any movement with Bitcoin, for many years, have recently "come to life". Recently, assets have started to be transferred from these wallets to the exchanges. The withdrawal to the exchanges, kind of hints that these amounts are being withdrawn to sell Bitcoin. Question to the esteemed public ! What is this ?
- the end of the short era of cryptocurrencies ? Owners are actively moving into fiat
- the end of the Bitcoin era ? Are they selling it to change cryptoasset for storage ? And what is this crypto asset?
- regulators have "gotten their way", cryptocurrency is losing support and interest ?
- your version ?
I don't think it's correct to make this assumption at this point. There is a big chance that if these coins are coming to exchange they might be coming to buy altcoins and pump altcoins after bitcoin is pumped. Also it's impossible to actually know what's happening without seeing the data actually. if you have the data points with you post them here to give some insights to people as well.
95  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: August 03, 2023, 09:02:21 PM
West Indies VS India
The first match of the West Indies vs India T20 series has started today. West Indies won the toss and decided to bat. Already 4 overs have been played without taking any wicket and collected 29 runs. India is the top number one team in T20 ranking. India bowling line and batting line is better than West Indies. India has more chances to win than West Indies in today's match. I think India will win the match today.
West Indies played well early in the game when it looked like they would set a good target to India but they gave away the target of 149 runs.  India too are not playing well today they have lost 3 wickets for 69 runs.  Shubman Gill was a good player but got out for just 3 runs. India need 75 more runs in 9 overs which is not a big challenge.  Collecting this run is possible for any good team so I think India will not fail in this case
Once after the innings of West Indies thought 149 an easy target for India. The end result of the match is really disappointing and completely unexpected. West Indies have won the match by 4 runs and India was able to score 145/9 in 20 overs. The middle order somehow managed to stand wicket, but that hadn't lasted till the end. No solid performance other than Tilak Varma scoring 39 runs from 22 balls. West Indies team needs to be appreciated to defend with such a low score. Hope this series would be a win for West Indies if India continues to play this way and this is the outcome of over confidence.
I think it's not good that India lost today. Not good for their morale. Remember this is sort of India backup team which is playing and we are testing our bench strength, not being able to chase a target of meagre 149 obviously isn't something you want. I think bad start in batting really pushed India out of match slowly and slowly, also there was no support from any other batsmen than Tilak.
96  Local / India / Re: Uber shines light on acceptance of bitcoin on: August 03, 2023, 08:59:22 PM
I was scrolling through Instagram when I noticed a post saying that the CEO of Uber has made an announcement that it will start accepting bitcoin as a payment.
This is a huge news because accepting bitcoin as a payment from such big companies will boost bitcoin adoption.
Although they have not mentioned any timeline as of when they are going to start accepting bitcoin but they are determined with their decision.

Uber runs across various countries including India and so we will have to wait and see how they are dealing with the regulations in various countries.
This will become a major challenge for them because crypto is not a legal tender in India and many other countries where Uber is used.
Although the news is good but we haven't seen any impact of this news on BTC price. So either people are not aware of it yet or may be there's something that I am missing.

Know the Market learn the Market and it's very important to know it's financial and big instutions playground.
U got to know their rules of game.
I know the rules of game and i make all the moves according how the big guys and big funds moving.
Follow the rules of funds and wall Street sec and Fed and you Are good here.
I think as of now we all know this rule pretty well. But the problem is that you can't really do anything about this? Unless you have good sources and contacts who can give you this info, you will not be able to do anything in the market, you'll just be replicating what any institutional investor did and that also you'll be doing after that Institution has done that investment and the wave has already passed.
98  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another Fud in the market and bitcoin volatility on: August 03, 2023, 08:52:17 PM
Well, i just read this US Government Considering Fraud Charges Against Binance and the market has started to dump again after we saw the recovery last night.

It's strange the we get some bullish news and market pumps and on every bearish news, the dump is expected.

It will be interesting to see the reply of CEO of Binance on this, and any positive statement will again pump the market.

The purpose to write all this is not to get influenced by these news, do not sell your coins in a panic and find such events to accumulate more bitcoin, bitcoin will recover faster than we can imagine.
Binance being accused of anything will be huge for crypto market to be honest. If it were anywhere true, this type of a thing will not just dip the market a bit but will crash it miserably, also I think just pushing charges and proving the charges are two different things and we recently saw that how Ripple came out very clean. So I am don't expect that SEC would be able to find anything big.
99  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: July 30, 2023, 04:49:46 PM
There is rain once again and Aussies won't mind whether it's rain or clear skies. A draw here (due to rain) will result in series win for Australia while a win by England will result in series draw. Right now the way Aussies openers are batting, it will be an easy win for Australia. England bowling is usual, it's Aussie openers that are too good in batting today.
Rain here actually helping England. After wicketless sessions and 100+ runs opening partnership. English bowlers could use a break and come back later for another push.

Atm pitch is not offering any assistance for the seamers, they would love it if some reverse swing comes into play but it would depend on ball conditions as well. Spin doing some tricks but they can't completely rely on Moeen and Root only.

The fourth match was completely under England's control. But England could not win the match due to rain. In the end the match was a draw and the Australian team was leading the series 2-1. England batted well in the second innings. But the way Australia's two openers Warner and Usman Khawaja are batting, it seems that Australia will easily win the match. Australia need only 249 runs to win. The match is being delayed due to rain. Even if this match is a draw, England will suffer. Maybe they don't have to lose this match. But Australia will win the series.
I think Rain gods have really been against England this time, a winning match in the previous test for England went into the trash can after rains. Once again today went into vain after rains and as I can see the forecast, tomorrow looks like a washed day as well, so it's bad luck this time that is going to cause England the whole series I believe.

Another country, another fiat onto blockchain dream and hence another CBDC, more and more countries are bringing in CBDC but not even a single country that I have seen has actually made it to the next level in CBDC, which means all are just betting on the fact that it might be great alternative to fiat but actually it's no where better than fiat at any level.
