81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you guys select which altcoin to invest in? or is it just a luck? on: December 22, 2017, 11:21:30 AM
One word. RESEARCH.
82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All ALTs coin goin down on: December 22, 2017, 11:18:50 AM
The fall of the market is normal, the stronger the spring is squeezed - the stronger it will shoot up!
the perfect time to shop for a long time
Exactly. Im sad i got 20% loss, but i decided to buy more!
But if it goes down another 10% then im not going to invest more Tongue

But since most altcoins are on the same level as they were ~month ago, i'd say now is the time to buy before we slowly climb up again.

People cashed in for christmas time, now its time to invest again.
83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is everyone "Cashing out" on: December 22, 2017, 10:09:00 AM
Ouch. I saw the correction coming, but did not expect 22% os a loss now. I dont think it will get much worse now though since the top coins are worth as much as they were a month ago.
Fair points made in this thread about xmas, investors waking up etc.
Im taking note and will remember this for my future of this hobby.

84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: And heeeere is the correction! on: December 22, 2017, 01:30:31 AM
It indeed seems the correction didnt finish yet. Stuff is still falling for me.
85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TOKEN SALE - Gladius Network [GLA] - DDoS Protection On The Blockchain on: December 22, 2017, 01:02:22 AM
I would like to know more about the team, people they hired etc. Are they knowledged and up to the task?
It is a good promise, but i want to trust they can deliver.

87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Top 3 Coins to Watch in January? on: December 21, 2017, 08:50:31 PM
Why do all people think that everything will grow in January? If bitcoin goes into a strong correction, the question will sound like this:
Which three coins will fall less in January?
You think so?
I have the feeling if bitcoin falls, other currency's will rise. Thats what happened last ~5 days.
But your prediction might be correct as well, if cryptocurrency's are a bubble and will pop (meaning investors will quit on crypto's)
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] www.bitpanda.com Buy/Sell ETH/BTC with Visa Mastercard Neteller Skrill on: December 21, 2017, 08:24:05 PM
There is a reason many people quit bitcoin guys. Its not the fault of bitpanda for asking such high transaction fees.

In any case, i want to thank bitpanda for the many transactions already. The only platform that remained steady and fully working....until today i bumped against a weird issue.
After selecting my payment method it throws me back to the login screen with a message that TOR is not allowed. Yet im not using tor...
Whats up with that? Shocked
89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: And heeeere is the correction! on: December 21, 2017, 04:04:00 PM
after huge gains for a couple of days the profit takers always come...

also xmas is a pain in the ass
What has xmas to do with this? People withdrawing money to buy gifts?
90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So why is bitcoin cash a shitcoin? on: December 21, 2017, 04:01:41 PM
all coins are shit coins.  There is nothing backing them.  The only reason they rise is because people buy them
haha, true! But its future material and one of them will become mainstream some day!
91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's bubble is going to burst on: December 21, 2017, 03:57:29 PM
A bubble for a year already. Probaly a bubble in another year.

BUT WARNING: ITS A BUBBLE! ...OKAY?

(newspaper in 30 years: Dont invest in bitcoin bubble! Risky investment as bitcoin just dropped below 330.000 dollar! - experts say.)
92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / And heeeere is the correction! on: December 21, 2017, 03:54:26 PM
Phew, lost about 20% of my investments today and i am pretty spread. Luckily im a believer in newer tech and in holding on. In fact, this might make me buy a bit more!

Hope not everyone is sad.
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Spectrecoin prediction on: December 21, 2017, 03:30:36 PM
I have invested in this coin but remain neutral. The tech and team seem quite awesome and promising. But not doing active marketting concerns me. Whats the point of a currency no one knows and uses? In a sea of a thousand+coins i dont know if it will survive. It needs more word to the outside world.

So eh.... I would say it maybe rises to 2.5 dollar in Q2 2018. -IF- it gets more people behind it.
94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So why is bitcoin cash a shitcoin? on: December 21, 2017, 02:00:49 PM
So many times on the web, i have seen people claiming bitcoin cash is a shitcoin.
Yet its a coin of the BTC team itself. Its a followup, with good developments incoming, and it carries the bitcoin name.

Note that while there are other alternatives that sure- are better then bitcoin cash.... They do not have the popularity. And this is important, because this attracts stores to start accepting it.
Furthermore alot of investors switched to bitcoin cash.

So what makes this a shit coin?
Are these people just spitting out garbage purely in hopes people will invest more into BTC again? or....?

Bcash is imho a shitcoin because it doesn't really bring anything new.
By your definition if I'd make a clone or fork of Bitcoin and name it Bitcoin Mickey Mouse it wold be a great coin because it has bitcoin in its name and inherits some good code. Ah, and I have to pay here and there to create hype.

Sorry, imho a good coin has to do more, it has to bring something new, offer something interesting on the new platform.
You are not part of the original dev team though where bch does have the team of btc behind it.
So its not just a clone- its a new project of the same people.
95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Etherdelta has been hacked. on: December 21, 2017, 01:52:37 PM
The domain got pointed to a different IP i suspect.
The domain has already brought down.

So its not a hack of the network in that case, but the registar.
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New alt coin says it can beat Bitcoin on: December 21, 2017, 12:49:13 PM
When they straight out say they can beat bitcoin, i dont trust them anymore.
Maybe a coin can do that some day, but such a wild claim as that just makes me feel they want to hype hype hype and get money money money.

98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Would you draw on a line of credit to buy altcoins? on: December 21, 2017, 12:17:37 PM
Why do people keep saying the risc is extremely high? Yes, there is a risc, but i doubt its more then a traditional stock market. The crypto's keep growing as well.

The mistakes you can make in this game, is betting on the wrong horse coin.

All investments in altcoins are based on trust and promises made. Some of them are actually slowly starting to deliver. Dash for example has quite some merchants accepting dash already.

You need to decide what altcoin will rise above the rest, and will be mainstream. Once it becomes more accepted and used, it WILL grow. Thats a guarantee and not speculation. BUT.... Wich one will do that? Out of the 1000+ coins out there, only a few will.
99  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How secure are 12 word recovery phrases? on: December 21, 2017, 08:35:31 AM
Chances are VERY VERY low. How many words do we have? More than 150,000? What are the chances that someone would actually land upon a wallet with the same words as you have? You have 12 words, if only 1 word out of those 12 is different, it would already be a different wallet. Not to mention the order of the words. etc. If 12 words wasn't safe enough the devs wouldn't have chose it.
im not talking about the chance they land on my wallet.

Its about they landing on any wallet. Out of the billions out there.
100  Other / Beginners & Help / How secure are 12 word recovery phrases? on: December 21, 2017, 12:55:38 AM
I imagine someone could write code that keeps trying to repeat 12 different combinations of words, after a while he must get results and control someone’s funds, no? With the amount of wallets out there now...
