To late. No need to sell any more ever.  I'll just hold the rest for the grand kids Cheesy

Yeah, sold my 401k and bought Bitcoin at 220 dollars.  Now.. I'm soooo retired and doing whatever the hell I want.   It's a great time to buy when you get all these FUDDERs wanting to cover their shorts.   Glad I didn't listen to them and sold it all when it hit $180. Tongue

I love the smell of REKT'd shorts in the morning.

Hoping it's a class action suit for 400+ million on the exchange that front ran those Mt. Gox coins.

Really strange.. Looks like the big whale dumper bots broke or something.   Sell order books on bitfinex and coinbase are so light.

Well, dumps actually work out better for me.  I seem to keep upping my BTC amount every time it does this. LOL  Just with my trade stash, I added another 1.3 BTC to my inventory.  Thank you panic sellers.
87  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why I would rather have paper money then Bitcoin on: March 05, 2018, 01:59:59 PM
This is going to come to a surprise to many on here, but at the moment I'd rather have paper (US FIAT) money. It's something that I would be able to actually use in my life with ease, and even though I love crypto and everything I have to be honest about what I think and see.

Plus for the fact that if i was to have bitcoin right now, I'd be paying a very high amount in fees if I wanted to actually end up using this money.

Just like you, I would rather have paper money than bitcoin as of now because as you can see the bitcoin's value can dropped anytime while the paper money or fiat is not. Fiat is surely can be used for transactions while bitcoin can only be used for limited transactions and as the matter of fact, it is banned in some countries. If I have bitcoin right now, probably I will turn it into cash so I can use it anytime and anywhere.

This thinking is exactly why you are poor and will remain poor.  Fiat is a debt based currency and is always losing value.  It's designed to lose value but not to fast. Don't want to spook the sheep or make the frog jump out of the pot.  Investing in assets that don't lose value and you will always come out ahead in a debt based system.

I used Trezor's for the past 3 years.  Didn't even touch one for the past 2 years.  Opened it up in Dec and everything working like it should.  Seriously, who wouldn't want to keep your money safe as possible?

Personally afternoon naps are the bomb Cheesy   I tend to wake up early 5:30 to 6am then do my thing until noonish then nap time.   Good to go until all hours of the night doing what I want.

Hello 10k.  I'm with you again.  Figures since I sent some cash to GDAX and it hasn't cleared yet.

Only need one word to describe why a government would ban crypto.

   "Enslavement"

It's self evident what the consensus is just by looking at TX's.  Last BCash block had a total of 2 tx's. LOL.. 2 that's it. 2.    As opposed to the 13k tx's on Bitcoin.

Wow, many people in this thread needs to go watch "Hidden Secrets of Money" by Mike Maloney.  Taxes don't go to fix/improve anything.  Doesn't even cover the interest payment on debt owed by the governments to banks.  Crazy stuff here.

Most exchanges doesn't look like much sell pressure.  Bitfinex is ridiculous though.  Showing 1830BTC to 11,100 and 6,248BTC to 12,100.

Just find it funny that the American Revolution was sparked in part by a 5% tax.  They would be burning everything in sight if they had to deal with today's taxes.

Calculated my effective tax was about 55% at one point.  Income Fed/State Tax, SS, Medicare, Property, Sales taxes on everything you buy.  It's getting out of control really.

Probably how they trapped a guy in Florida a few years ago.  Remember he sold them bitcoin and they told him they were going to buy illegal stuff.. think bomb stuff with it.   Total BS entrapment.
99  Economy / Economics / Re: What caused the Industrial Revolution? on: February 16, 2018, 07:54:28 PM
Give the book "5000 Year leap" a read and form your own conclusions.  May not agree with everything but it's nice to have all points of view.

One principle I totally agree with is:
"The highest level of prosperity occurs when there is a free market economy and minimum of government regulations."

Regulations just strangle everything they touch and I have no idea why anyone would think more regulations is good for Crypto currency
 economy.

Still a fight on Bitfinex for 10k.  300-500 btc walls keep going up and keep being eaten.
