81  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Qt Bitcoin Trader [OpenSource trading client for Mac/Windows/Linux] on: November 16, 2013, 10:09:57 AM
Interesting. i copy the libeay32.dll and ssleay32.dll files next to exe, and now works. but there is nowhere "libeay" string in build directory. do you compile qt yourself?
Yes, I compiled qt statically with ssl buildin.
I recommend you to use Windows binary: https://sourceforge.net/projects/bitcointrader/
You will be able to securely auto update to lastest versions.

Excellent tool! Just found your application and dowloaded it from the first page of this topic, is it the last version?
I am not so savy software guy but hope to be able to install and use it. Will come back with news about it.
Thanks a lot!

Wow, this was a great tool! Do you have any chances to make it working again?
Did you check Bitstamp? Maybe they accept it as they are not situated in the USA where the law is very strict regarding finances and trades.
83  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: why does cex.io goes down often on: November 16, 2013, 06:55:15 AM
Oftentimes that happens with DDOS attacks, a denial of service attack by bot nets...
It seems they like to target bitcoin website quite a lot, you will see the bitcoin casinos down occasionally from them,
could be their competitors, who knows...  Wink

Again is down today!

Ok, I need a site similar to this:
https://bitpay.com/
can you create one?
for how much?
time?
thanks.
Yes, I can create it.  I am a sole developer, though, so it would take over a month and several thousand dollars.  It would depend on the features you wanted.
Very simple one at the beginning, for testing, beta stage, but functional, then will develop to full version.

Make a screenshot of your Cgminer Configuration page, Cgminer Status page and copy/paste the contents of Cgminer API Log page. We need more information  to help you.

Hi Ben,
Is this topic about http://avalon-asics.com ?
Are they real? I can't see any contact details except a webform, usually scammers do this?!
Thanks.

89  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: November 14, 2013, 10:02:05 PM
Is there any topic about hashfast 1200GH/s ?
I have ordered one today and would like to find out if there are others who did so. January delivery; hope they will be able to keep their word.
Sorry but the first batch is expected to be shipping in mid December IF everything goes well. They have not said a word of the next batches , but I personally think that we could consider ourselfs "lucky" if we got our first rigs in late December

It seems that ASIC manufacturers make much more money that the miners!!
Why should they ALL ask for our money in front?! To do business with our money? That's the worst way to develop a business!
I am waiting for their telephone to confirm the delivery, otherwise will not pay for the order placed.
Let see what happens...

and 4.5 TH in a box no bigger than KnCMiner/Hashfast/Cointerra's box.  seems pretty hard to believe.
and no mention of chips or specs or anything, nor any delivery dates.
and no mention of engineering talent nor anything else that gives you a warm feeling.
does seem too good to be true.

I got an email, answer to my order... they ask me to send bitcoins to their wallet  Grin

Are there any confirmed information about Burnin selling his boards, or I should not wait for reply and place order somewhere else?
No info, no way to contact him! Do you know another place? I am looking also to order. Thanks.

payment method, Bank transfer & Bitcoin only = SCAM
This made me laugh = 200G Hash card = 3.5" HDD Bay
200G Hash Card
An expansion card designed for the Nitro Miner Basic. The 200G Hash Card performance is 200 GH/s.
Expansion card is ready to use, just simply plug it into the dock in the front panel of our bitcoin miner - Nitro Miner Basic. The control unit of bitcoin miner takes care of optimizing the system.
Nice idea, almost better than BFL Monarch... but unfortunately quite hard to fit everything in 3.5" space... unless they've invented somehing really cool Wink
They re- 'invented' scam :-(
94  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: another scam: nitrominer.com? on: November 13, 2013, 08:34:45 AM

If you look on Google map at their address is a jewelry shop. However, it is possible to register a company in UK on another address than the place where your factory or real business is. I have opened a legal company in UK from my desktop in Romania in about one hour, paid all fees, about 70 pounds in total, so it is easy to have a legal company in UK, doesnt matter where in Europe do you live!

They are scams I think, as they do not have any tel number and the images of their so called miners are some strange devices with no visible labels etc...

However, if they are real, will have o answer my email and also will have to come here and show their faces :-)

Is burnin still mounting chips for Avalon Gen1 for Bitburner XX's, but at a cheaper rate? I have my 240 chips that he shipped back to me that never got assembled. I'd be willing to sell them in chip form as well if anyone is interested.
Hi, please PM, i am interested. Where do you have them?
Thanks,
Teodor

1TH/S means about 20 boards. Are you able to stack them in 2 towers, connect the towers to the Raspberry pi computers (and power supply and internet connection) and then fiddle with Linux commands ?
Maybe KnC(or another) with hosting is a better option, unless you like the DIY approach from Burning. I sure do!
He doesn't have boards available for sale yet, he was gathering interest.
Found this calculation here on forum:
0.086BTC / chip * 100 = 8.6BTC
Is this real?
Thanks!

Teodor,
Burnin has been developing boards with Avalon chips and the delivery of those chips was delayed/canceled, causing a severe loss for Burnin. He more or less asked for support, stating he would need a 100 boards order to restart selling to endusers.

Thanks a lot BenTuras! I have a team of young people including my sons who can DIY, so I sure do too!
Do you have any idea how much 100 boards may cost? I'd like to buy them and create 2 x 1TH/s and few smaller. Hope this will help Burnin to restart his business too!
What do you think?
Thanks!

New (no trade in) orders for 100 Boards would be enough to get started.
My reasonable price would be ~400eur + VAT.
Production timing needs to be evaluated, first estimate is 2 to 3 weeks.
Shipping out all the avalon order took vast amounts of time, one reason why
i originally intended to part with the end-user business.
I am thinking about a minimum qty of 8 Boards, that would decrease the number of packets i have to ship considerably.
I'll do the math on the trade ins.

Hi,

Sorry, what do you mean by "New (no trade in) orders for 100 Boards would be enough to get started." ?

I am just re-searching; was ready to buy a KNC Jupiter, then found your topic here, so I am very interested to buy.

I am not a IT/chips techie guy, just an entrepreneur, so please let me know if you can help and what I need to create an about ~1THS Miner machine?

If so I am really ready to come to Switherland tomorow :-)

Please PM. I'd appreciate your feedback!
