81  Economy / Securities / Re: [BTC-TC and BF] MININGCO.ETF - Closing on: November 01, 2013, 03:22:10 PM
Checking in with an update:

Dividends (where still being paid) are being collected. I still keep the spreadsheet updated with all dividends collected.
Most dividends are paid directly to the MiningCo.ETF's public Bitcoin address. All dividends are being collected and will be distributed along with all liquidated proceeds.

bASIC-MINING and Cognitive are the only two underlying assets that have stopped paying dividends. While Garrett (who runs Cognitive) has been vocal on the forum, creativex (who runs bASIC-MINING) is missing-in-action.
Garrett promises that all dividends will be caught up when Cognitive moves to a new exchange, which he also promises will be soon. The lack of any communication by creativex is disconcerting.

Liquidation is going much slower/worse than I thought. I know that times are tough right now for mining stocks, but I haven't had any buyers at what I feel is a fair price.

Again, if any of you would like to purchase Nasty Fan or ASICMINER directly from MiningCo.ETF, please send a PM.

The deadline for registering for direct shares is Nov 16. You must be registered as a direct share holder in order to receive liquidation proceeds. Anyone who does not register by Nov 16 will lose their shares.
There are a couple of people who are registering using a Bitcoin address that is different than the public Bitcoin address used on the exchange. You must use the same public Bitcoin address that you setup in the exchange. Your public Bitcoin address is the way I match your account with your shares. Your public Bitcoin can be different than your withdraw address... so make sure to use your Public Bitcoin address.
If you need help, please send me an email or a PM. My email address is the same username as my forum account @gmail.com
82  Economy / Securities / Re: Starting a new FPGA mining farm/contract! Cognitive Resurrected on [BTC-TC] on: October 31, 2013, 04:42:49 PM
But keep in mind they have the private key, too; I would consider it an additional risk.
Not sure, but I would guess the private key stays local and the signature is generated by client-side Javascript.

inputs.io has control of the private keys of all Bitcoin addresses tied with your inputs.io account. pankkake says it's an "additional risk," but it's no more an additional risk of already having your coins on inputs.io in the first place. Since they have control of the private keys, this allows them to do "off-network" transactions... because your coins are essentially in their database instead of on the blockchain. This is just like any other shared wallet except inputs.io allows you to sign a message.

Sorry for the thread hijacking... back to Cognitive.
83  Economy / Securities / Re: Starting a new FPGA mining farm/contract! Cognitive Resurrected on [BTC-TC] on: October 31, 2013, 02:36:16 PM
These will not work:
Accounts on Exchanges
Accounts in gambling websites
inputs.io

inputs.io actually allow you to sign with your address.

You are correct! Thanks for pointing that out.

inputs.io does allow you to sign messages against your addresses.
84  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Fenix. Hashing from the ashes of Bakewell. on: October 30, 2013, 10:37:50 PM
We hashed 123 BTC and paid out only 81 on dividends?

See a couple of post above.

Fenix should have generated >95 BTC but only 80 BTC have been paid out. Was the rest for power costs and management fees?
3% Btcguild fee, plus electricity costs, yes.
85  Economy / Securities / Re: [BTCT.CO][LTC-GLOBAL] Crypto-trade.com IPO and official thread! on: October 30, 2013, 10:33:04 PM
I just need the shares credited, or them to let me know what I still need to do so that they can credit the shares.

I would get on the chat box on CT and ask admin (if he's on) about your situation.
86  Economy / Securities / Re: Starting a new FPGA mining farm/contract! Cognitive Resurrected on [BTC-TC] on: October 30, 2013, 10:31:07 PM
Set the address to an address you control, then garr can later ask you to prove you own the address by signing a message, and he can pay dividends to the address in the meantime.  Don't use an address you don't control (like a desposit address from coinbase, etc).

A few example of wallets where you control the address are:
Bitcoin-QT (The "regular" wallet)
Multibit
Armory
blockchain.info/wallet

These will not work:
Accounts on Exchanges
Accounts in gambling websites
inputs.io

I know I'm such an idiot and really deserve all the smart ass remarks most responses usually are. In general, people are cruel animals, too selfish to even realize or aware of their doings.

Is it true on the Eligius pool there is no manual payout process and you just have to wait for it?

YES!  Angry

(That's as cruel as I could make it.)
88  Economy / Securities / Re: [BTCT.CO][LTC-GLOBAL] Crypto-trade.com IPO and official thread! on: October 30, 2013, 03:14:03 PM
I still haven't received any credit for my BTCT shares. Is it normal for it to take this long? I'm getting nervous, since BTCT will be going dark after October 31.

From my experience, if you used the same email address to register an account on CT that you used to register your account on BTCT, then the transfer will go pretty smoothly.

After BTCT goes off line, burnside said that all asset issuers will be sent a final shareholder list. Neotrix will have a complete list of every shareholder, how many shares they had, their email address and their public Bitcoin address.

So, shares can still be credited after BTCT goes offline.
89  Economy / Securities / Re: Starting a new FPGA mining farm/contract! Cognitive Resurrected on [BTC-TC] on: October 30, 2013, 03:07:54 PM
There is only 2 days before BTCT got taken offline.

General Reminder:

As long as you have your Public Bitcoin address in your account setting on BTCT, you have nothing to worry about.

Garrett has a complete list of every shareholder, how many shares they have, the email address you used to sign up with BTCT, and that public Bitcoin address. This is everything he needs to pay divs and move to a different exchange.

If you don't have your public Bitcoin address in you account setting on BTCT, then you need to do it right now.

the value of estimated total went back and not forward, my miner was always On with the Eligius Pool without any kind of modification.
I see this happening  alot of times, the Value is Higher in one moment and after a few minuts or hours is Lower.

You share of the payout (your estimated earnings) per block/over time will become lower as more people join the pool and/or add higher hash rate. The only way to keep your estimated earnings the same is to continuously increase your hash rate.

This holds true no matter what pool you are on.
91  Other / Archival / Re: btt on: October 30, 2013, 02:55:14 PM
Does anyone know who he bought the avalon and bfl asics from?

As far as I remember, creativex drove out and picked them up himself (remember the road trips he's had?).
92  Other / Archival / Re: btt on: October 30, 2013, 02:53:08 PM
I thought issuers had to verify identity with btct higherups in order to create a security?

This is false. I was never asked and never verified for the assets I created.
93  Economy / Securities / Re: [BTC-TC] Nasty-PT 100 shares = 1 Nasty Fans seat - Closing on: October 28, 2013, 09:02:04 PM
Nasty-PT is now CLOSED

I found a buyer for the remaining 2100 shares outstanding. Me.

The price paid is 0.00105 per share. This is slightly above the current ask price of 0.1028 per seat (0.001028 per share).
Accrued dividends were 0.00000486 per share.

Total liquidation is: 0.00105486 per share.
This will be paid directly to your btct.co account. You can log in and withdraw it before the end of the month. If you do not, then any Bitcoins in your account will be paid to your public withdraw address.

Thank you for putting your trust in me.
Please consider adding a trust rating and let me know if I did a good job.
94  Economy / Securities / Re: [NastyFans.org] NASTY MINING | NASTY POOL on: October 28, 2013, 03:59:38 PM
I wonder if that's the reason that I can't log into the site using Chrome (or my Android phone)

No big deal.. just wondering.

Hmmm.... I have been using Chrome to log in to Nasty Fans since inception (still do) and I haven't had a problem. <shrugs>
95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Just-Dice.com : Invest in 1% House Edge Dice Game on: October 24, 2013, 10:23:04 PM
I'd like to understand a little more about the "provably fair" concept, if you don't mind.

I'll try to help.

Is the roll number (nonce) the same thing as "betid" and is this determined at the time of the roll?

No, the betid is just an id to look up the bet when searching for it. It does not determine your roll.

You control the server seed and the player controls the client seed?

I'm sure dooglus has access to the server seed, but it is randomly generated. The client seed is also randomly generated, but the user can change it to whatever they like.

The roll is generated by a combo of the server seed, the client seed, AND the number of bets using that pair of seeds. All of this is explained by clicking the "Fair?" tab.

You can change the server seed (and client seed) at anytime after making 10 bets with the current seeds. Just click the "Randomize" button or the "P" key on your keyboard. When you do, a pop-up window will appear and reveal the server seed you were just using. It also show you the new client seed at which you are free to type in any number you like.
96  Economy / Securities / Re: Starting a new FPGA mining farm/contract! Cognitive Resurrected on [BTC-TC] on: October 24, 2013, 04:54:48 PM
What alternatives would be more fair to any of the involved parties?

I have a unique insight to this question because had to do the same thing with NASTY-PT that I managed.
I gave my shareholders the same choice--get direct shares, or liquidate.

Of 48,000 shares, 45,900 chose to get "direct shares." That's over 95%

I have no PT shares myself, I'm just sharing my experience as an asset issuer.
97  Economy / Securities / Re: [BTC-TC and BF] MININGCO.ETF - Closing on: October 24, 2013, 04:43:23 PM
1 month from October 16 sounds good to me. Or if all shareholders get their shares transferred to direct before then, then we would be ready sooner.

It would be great if all shareholders converted to direct before the deadline. Based on my past experience, this won't happen. And I'm sure there will be some who never convert and will lose out.

Speaking of which:

We still have just under 600 shares still unaccounted for. Please make sure to register! You will not get paid your share of the liquidation proceeds unless you register.

Now on to liquidation.

All dividends will be accumulated and paid out with all proceeds after all underlying stocks have been liquidated. This will keep Bitcoin network fees to a minimum. Unfortunately, this means our coins are just sitting there for now.
All data on the spreadsheet will be kept up to date. As shares are sold, the proceeds will be moved to the fund's public Bitcoin address: 1Mining6y9NFU1cWxBgExYykwgCCoqoW8X
There is a small amount of coins in the Fund's cryptostocks account that are not in the public Bitcoin address. I haven't moved them yet because cryptostocks charges a huge 0.01 BTC withdraw fee.

I have already listed our GMP shares on crypto-stocks. Ironically, GMP just got their KNC ASICs going and dividends from them have increased dramatically. But this should help with the price as well.

I want to offer anyone reading this first chance at Nasty Fans and ASICMINER.

We have:
152 Nasty Fans seats
17 ASICMINER shares.

If anyone would like to make an offer for some shares, please send a PM to me. Minimum purchase is 5 ASICMINER and 10 Nasty Fans.

Cognitive shares are still on hold while Garret finds a new home.

bASIC-MINING is a different story. CreativeX has been on hiatus and no one can seem to get in contact with him.

This is the reason we had to move to direct shares. I knew it would take a while for some of our underlying assets to sort themselves out.

In summary:

  • Register your shares
  • Make an offer for Nasty Fans and ASICMINER

0 BTC bet

Maybe to reduce load, you should disable that. Or is there any reason to accept 0 BTC bets?

0 BTC bets are allowed. Its a great way for newbies to test the system at no risk.... and to see "what if" when adjusting your bets.

0 BTC bets are also rate limited to 1 bet per 3 seconds.
99  Economy / Securities / Re: [NastyFans.org] NASTY MINING | NASTY POOL on: October 22, 2013, 04:44:40 PM
Would it be possible, however, to make a pseudo-bid sheet? Maybe set up an alert system,

Speaking of which, I have a large number (150+) of seats up for sale. I am shutting down 2 funds from btct.co (MiningCo.ETF and NASTY-PT) and liquidating the seats each held.
If you are looking to get seats at a price that's fair for everyone, please send me a PM. You don't have to buy the whole lot. I'll work with you on this.

Thanks.

What timeline do you expect to pay back this proposed reallocated debt?

The increase in BTC price has enabled me to make the necessary purchases without needing to reallocate this debt.   Grin
Yay! So, what's the next step? Poll?

I think this means OgNasty is going to do it because BTC pricing is favorable.
