Getting ready to send out first batch of payouts as soon as my wallet finishes syncing.
83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] InfiniteCoin | IFC | Giveaway on: December 04, 2013, 10:35:53 PM
I'll be sending out first batch payment in a couple of hours - after dinner most likely. Thanks to those of you who took the extra couple of seconds to click an ad or two Smiley It helps keep the faucets and giveaways coming.
84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [ANN] InfiniteCoin | IFC | Giveaway on: December 04, 2013, 09:41:02 PM
Now that I've finally figured out how to start mining, it's time to spread the love. I'm giving away random amounts of IFC to the first 1000 people who request it. To get your free IFC:

1. Go to http://bitcoinops.com/alt-coins/infinitecoin-ifc/ and submit your IFC address to receive payment
2. If you appreciate the freebie gesture, consider clicking on an ad or two to help fund future giveaways!
3. Come back to this thread and post your address here as well.
4. I will send your freebie IFC within 24 hours

Enjoy!

lol it is not a glitch, its meant to stop spam. Will be reduced to 1 minute when you get your activity above 14

You missed the part where he said he'd just gotten home and went to submit a post, without having posted something previously that day Grin It is a minor glitch in the spam prevention system and something that happens every now and again.

Just look at the post above you, and you will see that it is NOT a glitch at all.

I saw the post above me. Even taking all of that into consideration, it used to pop up from time to time. I could log in, get up and go into the kitchen to feed the dog and grab a drink, then come back and post and have that message pop up. The alert feature itself is not a glitch, no. But sometimes it pops up at odd times.

I love all the idiots screaming "I've lost my shit coins, they've disappeared".....blah blah blah...

Idiots, what part of adding 5 servers do you not understand?

This isn't like installing your cracked version Crysis and 5 minutes later you're up and running. Data has to migrated, DB's have to migrated and SHIT HAPPENS! Your coins are not lost and no need to panic as you aren't losing money anyway as there is probably no other market for your particular shitcoin in the first place LOL...

Give it a few days....

~BCX~

I admit, I panicked and wailed like a little biatch when my IFC disappeared after the fork. I know, I know. "IFC," you say. "WTF are you doing with IFC!" Someone gave me a buttload of them in exchange for some SEO advice. By buttload I mean a couple million of the little buggers, so it was a little staggering when they disappeared. I figured out what was going on pretty quick though, and it helps that the owner is pretty quick to reply to emails.

I have just logged in from my home computer, and tried to make a post and was given the note that I most recently posted from my current IP address less than 360 seconds ago even though I just got home.

Have anyone experienced this before?

Yes, it used to happen to me every now and then before the 360 second restriction was lifted. What I would do is this:

1. Click my browser's Back button
2. Copy the contents of my post
3. Clear my browser's cache
4. Go back into the original thread
5. Wait the 360 seconds
6. Re-submit my post

Hope this helps!

89  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: first post Hi all !!! And i do have one question on: December 04, 2013, 04:36:03 AM
I am loving alternate coins. It's a lot like collecting Garbage Pail Kids cards. Even if they are never worth anything, it's fun collecting them just because of the sheer variety.

92  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Serious qestions about CEX.io and other cloud mining services on: December 03, 2013, 01:12:22 PM
Cloud mining *can* turn a profit but the problem with cex is not their hardware or the site itself, it is the site management which likes to jerk around users and change there TOS on a whim. There are several alternatives to cex.io, I hope the new one that is creating a buzz eventually forces cex lower on the scale.

My advice is do not trust cex.io or Jeffrey Smith AT ALL.

What are some viable, reputable alternatives to CEX?
93  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Hi all, newbie question about crypsy on: December 03, 2013, 01:07:33 PM
Hey there...I'm on Cryptsy as well. From what I can see, the cause of the delay is two-fold:

1. Deposits have to be confirmed multiple times (I think it's 6 confirms for Cryptsy, but I could be wrong) to ensure that the transactions are valud and that takes time.
2. Growing pains. New users have flocked to Cryptsy in recent weeks and it has resulted in some things being slower than others.

Hope this helps answer your questions!

Why can't I post on other topics, I have 5 hours and other people ca post with 4?

I believe you need at least 4 hours logged AND 10 posts.
100  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Looking to invest 5btc on: December 02, 2013, 05:29:02 PM
If I had 5 btc (which I don't, but if I did) I would put it to work for me. I'd buy 60+ GH/s over at CEX and put it to work for me for a year. Then I'd sell the GH/s and cash out w/ the proceeds + the coinage mined over the course of that year.

That's what I'd do.

As it is I only have 6 GH/s.
