I'm sorry to say that from a spectator's POV, I think NXT is losing the battle now that there's wider and bigger potential and possibilites on other platforms like Ethereum. I hear a lot about Ethereum. What does it actually do... now?

Unless one day James is bored and revives the project, this project is dead. Lost quite some money on it too. You win some, you lose some...

Okay so I'm new to this whole Nxt Wallet and after my issues with cryptsy I would like to buy and long term hold some assets off exchanges. So to buy and hold this do I just buy asset 12071612744977229797 from my nxt wallet? Cause there seems to be lots of other talk of tokens and all kinds of other "assets" and exchanging of tokens....
Yep, easy as that. Just be sure to choose a very very random passphrase. Preferably the one the client suggests for you, and maybe some of your own words added. And only log in on a pc that's free of password sniffers ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

Is 30 minutes too long for blockchain download? That is my target time to sync from scratch
Perfectly fine if UI informs the user ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

No, try this: https://www.mynxt.info/forging_calculator.phpForging doesn't even pay the electricity bill right now. It's main use is helping secure the network.

Quite quiet here, so... let's say I'd like to buy some SuperNET assets. Why should I do that?
Various reasons. Supporting the idea, the project. Or just for trading or the dividends. Right now it pays asset dividends once in a while. Future plans are it will pay regular dividends as soon as some of the SuperNET related projects (like Pangea Poker) start generating income. Which, admittedly, is taking a looong time now. Patience is a virtue. Have a look at these charts: https://nxtforum.org/nxt-promotion/graphs-charts-and-infographics-by-audo/

I have been out of cryptocurrencies for 8months. I invested almost all my BTC on NXT. Now I see it is quite down. Any suggestion? Did developers quit? Any solution? Is this project greyed completely out? what a shame
NXT is very much alive and kicking, frequent new features and releases, plenty of devs too. Mostly on http://nxtforum.org though and Slack http://slackinvite.supernet.org. Price was pushed down these months by low liquidity and some early stakeholder whales dumping, and by having hardly any marketing. And at the moment it's because BTC is taking all the money. Read about the recently crowdfunded (10M NXT) marketing/business development project called Tennessee. That will probably influence price a bit ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

I agree- also with the perspective to Pangea Poker and Privatebet on the Nxt-SuperNET platform
I`m not familiar with it,although i got supernet installed on my PC, yet i never saw those. Probably they are not ready yet. Yes an internal poker system, especially a decentralized one, is ultra innovative. But it should be ready soon, because the NXT gambling industry needs to expand fast. You really should be in Slack, lots of 'insider info' and ideas http://slackinvite.supernet.org

If bittrex has the new NAUT, why is it still called NAUT instead of NXTNAUT?
I think the name NXTNAUT is just used for the transition period from the current system to the NXT platform. Also the ticker in the NXT platform is "NAUT" and not NXTNAUT if I'm not mistaken, see the screenshot of a few post before. Yep.

Imo questions about the airdrop are better answered in the Nautiluscoin thread, since "This thread will explain the entire redemption process".

Over the weekend I implemented a SuperNET agent that implements coinshuffle, a fully decentralized mixer, called Jumblr. It has no central server and you always control your coins at all times. for BTCD there is no fee other than the txfee which is set to 0.01, for BTC the cost is 0.1%. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1179305.msg12407691#msg12407691Looking for peoples for the GUI and also testing. bounties available James Nice job James! Coinshuffle is what we needed ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) is it also for NXT? Next (?) NXT version will have coinshuffling in the core.

Tell me if I'm understanding this correctly, will I be swapping out my Nautiluscoin for Nxt Coins, or will I be just using my Naut Coins on the Nxt System?
Nxt Coins have over 999,997,096 supply while Naut has a 5,322,099 supply. Is coin swap going going to dilute the worth of my Naut Coins.
I would like to the know these details before proceed.
You get NAUT, a coin that exists on the Monetary System (MS) within NXT, supported and secured by the existing NXT network. http://nxter.org/nxt-core-monetary-system/https://wiki.nxtcrypto.org/wiki/Monetary_Systemhttps://nxtforum.org/monetary-system/It seems NAUT was created with max supply 16'180'000 and type 'exchangeable': "Exchangeable currencies can be traded for the NXT currency in the Exchange Booth of the Nxt client, which operates differently than the Asset Exchange. A currency owner can publish a combined buy/sell offer pair with an expiration block height and quantity limits. Only one active offer per account is permitted. Requests to buy or sell offered currency can submitted by anyone. These exchange requests are executed immediately (fully or partially) or not at all if no matching offers are found." But probably more relevant is the dedicated exchange for gold value.
