81  Economy / Economics / Re: Success is fundamentally determined by luck, not effort. on: May 14, 2023, 01:24:45 AM
Luck can play a role in success, it may present opportunities but it depends on the individuals to take advantage of them through their own efforts and persistence. But luck alone is not enough to guarantee success. Hard work, perseverance and other factors can also play significant role to attain success. Ultimately success is a combination of luck and effort. Success can be defined in many different ways and what may be considered lucky or successful for one person may not be the same for another.
82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: PEPE time to buy NOW? on: May 13, 2023, 08:24:05 AM
It is hard to gamble in buying those meme coins no one could really predict what will be the future of that particular coin. Maybe it would pump for a short period of time but for sure investors would dumped it to get their profit. It is important to research first before investing it is very risky because of the volatility of the market. So think carefully because following on the hype of a meme coin and don't just invest because you might regret it in the end.
83  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When Bitcoin will become stable currency? on: May 13, 2023, 07:41:06 AM
It is difficult to predict when will be bitcoin will become a stable currency. Crypto currencies value are highly volatile. Market demand, regulation and adoption rates have all impact on the stability of a cryptocurrency. Some other believes that as more people begin to adopt in cryptocurrencies, their value and stability could increase. There are countries now are exploring the development of their own digital currencies which could further legitimize the use of cryptocurrencies as a form of payment. The long term stability and viability of the crypto currency are still uncertain.
84  Economy / Economics / Re: A True Leader With Economic Vision. on: May 12, 2023, 08:13:30 AM
A True leader with economic vision should possess a strategic thinking that should be able to think ahead and anticipate the future economic trends and challenges. He should be also decisive to be able to make tough decision quickly and confidently. Possess a clear vision for the future of the economy. A true leader should have a moral compass and act in the best interest of the economy and its people. 85  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is money ruling the world? on: May 12, 2023, 05:41:03 AM
Money is the medium of exchange that allows people to trade goods and services with one another. The people are well secured if they have a lots of money. The more money you have the more comfortable your life will be, because you don’t need to worry about your expenses that will occur daily. But sometimes money can be the root of all evil, there are people who do crimes just to acquire money in a harsh way. Money is powerful because it controls people to do good or bad.
86  Economy / Economics / Re: Shrinkflation on: May 11, 2023, 05:35:47 AM
For me to combat inflation if I were running a company i will do some measures to be able to cope up with the inflation. I would increase prices that is acceptable to the customers. Reducing expenses by cost cutting or finding more efficient ways to operate. Try to negotiate to the suppliers to ask for price support or reduce the prices of the goods that they are supplying to the company. Diversifying revenue can help as well by expanding or offering new products or services. So it would depends on the company what is the best solution to cope up against inflation.
87  Economy / Economics / Re: Could there be a new financial system not dependent on USD? on: May 11, 2023, 02:20:05 AM
In my own opinion, I think it is possible for there to be a new financial system that is not dependent on USD. In recent years, there has been a wide growing interest in alternative crypto currencies and on the payment system, including the crypto currencies and the block chain technology which could be possibly potentially can offer a new way to conduct global financial transactions without relying or without depending on the USD. But of course the adoption of such systems would definitely require a drastic changes to current financial infrastructure regulations.
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why does Cardano get so much hate? on: May 10, 2023, 03:01:52 AM
I'm a fan of cardano and I think it is making great progress these past years especially last few. But in the crypto community, cardano just seems to be getting hate and also from crypto media. They do not point out the great upgrades and updates that ada is having but just seem to talk about the bad or not true.

Why do you think this happens?  Cheesy

There could be a number of reasons why Cardano receives criticism from some individuals of the crypto community and social media. Some people may have different opinions on the projects technology, development timeline or the leadership. Others may be simply biased towards cardano as a crypto currency. Every individual are entitled to their own criticism and it is their own opinion if they will believe, support or criticize cardano. Always remember that crypto community is made up of different people and groups who have different perspectives towards the crypto currencies. It is individuals decision if they will continue to believe on Cardano's project and if they are still supporting it's progress.
89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can NFTs last forever? on: May 10, 2023, 12:53:16 AM
All of the NFTs you know and love today, have their data stored their on centralized servers (images, video, etc). What is only stored on the Blockchain is just the properties of the NFT itself. While you're basically the "owner" of the NFT, you could lose technically lose it if the centralized server hosting the content of the NFT goes down.

So, what's the point of investing in NFTs if they can disappear in an instant? Unless all of the content is stored on the Blockchain itself, I don't see how NFTs will be able to last forever. Are there already solutions in the works that I'm not aware of? Please enlighten me on this. Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Smiley

You have a good point. Currently most of NFT's have their content stored on centralized servers, which can be vulnerable to failure or shutdown. I think there are some solutions in the works to address it. The use of decentralized storage network which aim to provide more secure and decentralized way to store content. Another one is to use the block chain based content delivery network which aims to provide more efficient and decentralized way to stream video content.
90  Economy / Economics / Re: Try to save money while you still can, will you ? on: May 10, 2023, 12:34:41 AM

Well, the inflation in my country now is not extremely high but has already damaged the economy. The cost of living is increasing and does not seem to stop. Last week one of my friends lost his job after working in the same company for a decade. His life abruptly changed, putting him in a place where he could not support his family. If you were him, how would you survive this tough time ? As a friend, I am trying to help him as much as I can and meanwhile, I am planning to save more money to prepare for the unexpected challenges in my life. What about you ?

Sad to hear your friend's situation. It is really difficult time for him and his family. If I were in his shoes, I would assess first my financial situation and I will prioritize my expenses. I would cut cost on my unnecessary expenses and I will prioritize on the basic essentials that is needed, such as house rent, food and utilities. To increase my income I would look for some other ways like finding a part time job or a freelance job. I would reach out as well to my connections maybe they could provide support or financial assistance if ever i wont find other part time job.
91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Future of play to earn games on: May 09, 2023, 08:08:19 AM
What do you think about play to earn blockchain games? Do you think that video game players will one day abandon Sony and Microsoft companies for play to earn games or Microsoft and Sony will one day be forced to allow play to earn games to run on their gaming devices?

Play to earn blockchain games have gained popularity a few years ago and due to their unique earning potential. It is hard to predict whether video game players will abandon the traditional gaming companies for a play to earn games, Both have their own sets of advantages and disadvantages and appeal as well to different players. I think it is possible that the traditional gaming companies may eventually incorporate play to earn features into their games or allow play to earn games to run on their devices to compete with new trend of gaming.
92  Economy / Economics / Re: Quit borrowing on: May 09, 2023, 03:02:49 AM
Borrowing more money can leads to more debt and makes it harder to become debt-free. The primary reason for borrowing or taking a loan is living beyond one's means, where expenses exceed income. This kind of problem will become worsen with millions of people are spending more than they can earn and also credit card debt is increasing at alarming rate. So people should quit on borrowing money because it will cause more stress and depression if they wont be able to pay their debts. Debts will be doubled or tripled if you had missed paying the amount due and it would cause a lot more problem to you physically, emotionally and mentally.
93  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the government can really make a way to end poverty or it depends on us? on: May 09, 2023, 02:47:46 AM
Ending poverty it requires collective effort from both the individuals and government. The government is the one who implements and legalize the policies, laws and programs to reduce poverty and they are responsible in providing assistance to those who are in need. It is also depends on the choices and actions of each and every individuals to improve their life situation. To end poverty it requires full effort and change of individuals to their own lives.

95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: they change the way we handle money and own things ? on: May 08, 2023, 11:34:58 PM
as decentralized finance (DeFi) applications and non fungible tokens (NFTs) become more popular, will they change the way we handle money and own things,

or will they only be used by a small group of people(like now being used) ?

It is possible that Defi and NFT's become more popular, they could change the way we handle money and own things. These technologies have the potential to democratize access to the financial services and make it more easier for people to be able to do buying, selling and trading assets. We cannot tell now if it will be adopted by a small group of people only. It will depends on the technological advancements, it's framework and how the users will adopt to it.

97  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Investment: Good Debts vs Bad Debts on: May 08, 2023, 08:55:34 AM
Bitcoin investment will only be a good debts if your investment generate well enough profit and you had settled your loan with the profit. It is consider bad debts if you loose from your investment and you had encountered problem on repaying your loan. Taking a loan just to invest in Bitcoin is very risky because you do not know if you will generate profit or not. Much better to invest only the amount that you can afford to loose. Evaluate your financial capacity before you invest in crypto currency so that you will not regret it if you loose all of your investments.
98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to accept crypto payments? on: May 06, 2023, 05:45:41 AM
To accept crypto payments you can consider the following steps.

Choose a reliable crypto wallet that supports the currency that you will transact on your business.
Then you can set up a payment gateway that supports crypto currency payment.
You can display the crypto currency payment option on your website or on your point of sale system together with the instructions on how to complete payment.
Once the payment is made, the crypto currency will be deposited into your wallet and you can check your wallet if you had received it.
Make sure that the wallet that you will provide is right because if the payment sent to wrong wallet you cannot retrieve it.

100  Economy / Economics / Re: Saving one third what you earn monthly is not that hard, isn't it ? on: May 06, 2023, 03:55:26 AM
Saving one third of your monthly salary can be a challenging goal for some individuals, it also depends on the income level of each individual, their expenses, their dependents and their financial goals. If you are single most definitely you can save one third of your salary because your thinking only your personal expenses alone. For a family man it is possible too but it would depend on the financial needs of his family. Saving a portion of income regularly is a good discipline, you can build an emergency fund, health care preparedness, invest in the future and you can achieve other financial goals. It is also important to create a budget, track your expenses and find ways to reduce unnecessary expenses so that you could increase your savings.
