83  Economy / Economics / Re: The market started looking green today. on: May 18, 2018, 08:11:39 PM
I just realized if this thread was created on March 31st. now the market is red again and the bitcoin price drops to $ 8k

Everyone thought latest in May we will see a bull run but even Consensus does not seem to help this bear market trend to reverse, it looked good in April but we were maybe to soon excited...
84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How much time do you spend reasearching your prospective coin buys? on: May 18, 2018, 07:52:14 PM
As a buyer i send a lot of time sifting through a bunch of different medium (forums, websites, discord, telegram, whitepapers, social media) looking at my next buy.Im curious on how much time others spend on research?
I almost do not waste time before buying. And I invest only for a long time. In bitcoin and in cryptocurrencies from the top 20 by capitalization. I am sure that the price of all these coins will grow in the long term. All this allows me not to spend much time analyzing the market.

I don‘t think the time is wasted, better waste time than your money. Any crypto in the top 20 could be loosing popularity quickly. 6 months ago Dash was on 4th place I believe, it has declined very quicky and other similiar coins like Verge gained much more polulsrity.
85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Your Money Safer In Crypto than at the Bank? on: May 18, 2018, 07:44:30 PM
Hi, i don't think money is safer in crypto than in bank, in bank you got inssurance, so if any problem you'll get back your money, in crypto if you are scammed, you can cry

It is a question of diversification. You should store a part of your funds in more conservative sources, and a small amount of money you'd rather invest in highly risky assets!

I agree on diversification, that is the best starting point.

Here is the best advice you will get: Do not follow other peoples ideas...do your own research.
87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is Telegram the new measure of ICO success? on: May 03, 2018, 11:51:00 AM
I think the telegram member count can tell you how effective their marketing is, if there are less than 5k members it typically means that either the people are not interested but more often it is just weak marketing and community management.

On the flipside, a high number of telegram users does not need you can just go in and the project will fly. You never know how they got to the amount of users...did they grow organically (great) or was there an airdrop and you had to join the telegram to get free coins (not so good) or they might have just purchased fake telegram members on some site (worst case scenario)

Do you know what a fractional reserve means? If not then research it. Banks only have 10% of your money. If everyone runs to the banks to get all of their cash, the banks close. Happened a while ago during the great depression and likely at the next crisis.
89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 90 percent correction in 'mass market wipe out,' investment bank warns on: May 03, 2018, 11:41:48 AM
LOL, that's hilarious again. I believe we will get a dip soon, but not because of FUD. Big whales will do it soon, summer is coming they need cash to go on holidays...lol. Anyway, due on some technical analysis we can believe the market will shrink again fo a better bull market. Which it will be a good opportunity, for the financial institution to get back again in the market ( like a King)  Tongue

Just look at the previous years and you will realize quickly that it is unlikely we will have a crash, rather solid growth across the board. Technical Analysis might be a good tool to time entries and exits in the market, I would not rely to it to predict bull runs or crashes.
90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best ICO of May on: May 03, 2018, 11:37:52 AM
Quarkchain is the best ico of may in my opinion. They have a very good team and community. I think they will not have difficulty in entering the exchanges.

It's also high on Ian Balinas list and he probably did a lot of research on them...just wonder do we really need another Blockchain that is scalable? There are plenty of other next gen blockchains and some of them are going on the main net as Rchain after the summer.

If the market is really coming back there will be room for more, if we continue to go sideways then we probably have already to many different blockchains. So I would not jump on that one yet, but maye I am not aware of all key differentiators yet.

91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How much time do you spend reasearching your prospective coin buys? on: May 03, 2018, 11:34:44 AM
I would say that 80% of my time I do research, and the remaining 20% I spend on trading. It's in line with the Pareto principle.
92  Economy / Speculation / Re: Hi guys, is bitcoin going back to 5000 level? on: April 07, 2018, 09:23:50 AM
What do you think. Is it the best time to buy or we should wait a little to see the direction.

It my go to $5000 level but there is also possibility that prices will now start rocketing in next few days. If you have decided to invest, do not wait any further.
93  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to get Merits on: April 07, 2018, 09:20:22 AM
I did a helpfully post after that but I do not have merit anyone, so how do we go up

I checked your posts and you have not made any constructive post yet. Now there is lot of competition among members to make merit points and you will have to give exceptional performance here to get merits here.
94  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: GOOGLE hasn't banned BITCOIN advertising on: April 07, 2018, 09:18:34 AM
Yes, No one had said that Google ban bitcoin advertising. Google bans cryptocurrencies related websites advertising. They can be ICOs, gambling websites, exchanges, Lending websites, etc.
There is no bitcoin advertising to be banned. Who will pay for bitcoin advertising when there is no benefit to him/her ?

OP already mentioned that bitcoin has never advertised online. It is just people sharing their positive experiences with bitcoin investments that other confuse with paid advertisements.
95  Economy / Speculation / Re: I believe BTC is going to trend down to $5,000 whats your thoughts on: April 07, 2018, 09:07:47 AM
IMO BTC is going to continue to trend down and settle around a range of $4,500 to $5,500 at a new psych level. Reasons are slow adoption world wide from other countries than Japan and growing competition from alts.

Many of the crypto experts have made similar predictions about bitcoin prices going down to $5000. The possibility of that happening now is less than 30% in my opinion.
96  Economy / Economics / Re: The market started looking green today. on: April 06, 2018, 04:39:46 AM
It is nice to see market recovering today. There will be a time this year when bitcoin prices will skyrocket and no one will be able to stop it. I am holding till then.
97  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: April 06, 2018, 04:33:30 AM
Is it better to save money in bank or invest it online, in real estate or maybe gold?

You should not invest all your money. Keep some money as savings as it will help you in case of emergencies. Also invest in multiple ventures to be safe.
98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KYC at end of bounty campaign on: April 06, 2018, 04:13:47 AM
his is quite funny, first ask the the participants to make number of posts of good quality and at time of payment introducing silly requirements. Mmmebers here should run away from such projects in investment also.
99  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: April 06, 2018, 04:06:51 AM
If you had to convert all your wealth to either Bitcoin or gold and keep it there for 10 years, which would you choose? Keep in mind the fact that Bitcoin has only been around for 5 years, and could be fundamentally different in any number of ways in 10 years.

I will suggest you to buy both. Gold will give you some sort of safety and bitcoins will give huge returns, so the combination gives balance.
100  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you still use bitcoins if the price would be stable? on: April 06, 2018, 03:54:38 AM
I am pretty much interested to know how many people here uses bitcoin because of it's system, because of the anonymous and the security it provides, and because of the fact that it is really easy to transact over the internet, and there's no one who can just block your account(unlike paypal, a platform that provides an easy way to pay over the internet, but you rely on PayPal to keep your account open).

So, are you guys using bitcoin because of it's nature, or because it's a financial tool of making money?

I will certainly use bitcoins even if the prices becomes stable. It is already being used by a number of online sellers and I think that more people will adopt this.
