In fairness to the middle-of-the-road types, there were quite a few saying "It's just a flu bro!". It has killed 17x more people in my country than the worst flu season ever. One can't believe only in statistics but it gives some idea anyway. My sister and sister of brother-in-law work both in hospitals and they've told what chaos there has been at some points. A year a go some people were saying "I don't know anyone who knows anyone who has been infected with Covid". Some of them got sick pretty bad later on.. |

My job is not well paid even for my poor country, but I have no moral right to quit. This is a dream prestigious position that I worked very hard to get. It requires talking with people mostly about computer technology and Bitcoin for 6 hours ... per week (edit: plus 5 months paid vacation per year). Yes, my bosses are idiots and they try to humiliate me in every possible way. I could become a boss too, but that would mean I have to work 8 hours per day, no thanks! But they have no idea that my wealth is equal to the yearly budget of the whole organization (which has hundreds of employees), so I am quite happy for now and gloat from the inside  . But I'm thinking of finding an income on a certain island where for now I intend to spend each Summer. And at some point I can settle permanentrly with the help of the stash I have. Theoretically I could buy a small 200-500m 2 villa and live without an income for 2 decades, relying only on my BTC stash, but I am afraid to take any risks. Hopefully this dream will become true soon. Hitting 200-300K price target will make the things much easier for sure  Well done mate. |

Right now, it's a complicated scenario where everything is pretty uncertain. We don't know what kind of other variants of the virus will appear, we don't know what the long-term effects are post-infection but we don't know those of the vaccine either.. it's all just an uncertainty and I think the worst thing I can do right now is take rushed choices..
What is quite clear is that general health plays a role, so for now I try to work on that, and keep vitamins and minerals stocked up and try to vary my food more. I caught it, didn't have any symptoms and got over it easily. One of my good friends was in hospital under breathing apparatus (whatever it's called) for a week and they say recovery will take at least 2 years, my gf was quite sick and will have lung problems for months to come doctors say. This is one shitty virus, I'll get the shot when they'll start vaccinating my age range. In another note, go bitcoin go! Waiting for 70k  |

Just got notification from my exchange that they'd received a $1500 deposit ready to spend. I was like uhhhh..... turns out it was my wife, she just called telling me to buy some more BTC. Guess she's a keeper?
My gf took out her pension fund and "ordered" me to invest it into btc. Guess I'll have to put a ring on her soon enough. |

I am not anti-trusted layers... but I will not be parking any significant value on any of them, that's for sure.
Yes that’s always true “Not your keys, Not your coins” One question how much can we trust these third party wallets then? Specially these wallets on our mobile apps. Although they give us access to the private keys but still can we trust them? I have been using Jaxx. But often I will open my wallet to confirm my coins are still there or some developer of Jaxx have already transferred my funds to some cold wallet :p My coins are in cold storage only, just a small amount to fck around with shitcoins is on exchanges. Delta gives me enough overview of everything, no need to access my coins via phone. If we made a list of the X most important posts on this behemouth thread, I would vote this to rank highly... or one like it. It cant be overstated, and I guarantee there are people here reading this that don't get why. (Probably not most of the regulars... but maybe even some of us!)
