These is because of the ugly experience with ICO's where majority of them get dumped, it is better for good projects to start this way and proof itself through the market and grow through it than starting huge and becoming worthless. I am interested in worthless coins now that has good potential.

If you study the charts very well, btc always have its yearly low and high, It depends on the particular season at which we are. Btc may get to $$30,000 in the next two years as peak value but will again drop to its low of around $8000 in the coming year just like we witnessed last year but in all it is a very good investment for a very long term. This part of the reasons why ICO is becoming unpopular, majority of ICO investors who never cashed out earlier lost fund and must have lost huge if holding till this time, I think this was largely due to the bear market aside the obvious ico scam that ravaged they system. I have been hearing about Facebook coin all over the space, I have searched for details but it appears not to have a detailed information or a whitepaper yet. Most Kiely a lot of people will troop into it because of the popularity of Facebook but with time it may eventually not be what we had assumed it would be. The crypto market is very competitive now and new projects are not finding it to survive

Following the market trends and pattern of growth, one should take profit along the growth line, you may not sell all at once but in case of a very sharp pump which usually comes with a fast dump and you are lucky to be in trade, it is wise to quickly sell then and wait for the dump to buy back, a fee of my sales strategy. Certainly investing in altcoins still have bountiful possibilities, right now is a good opportunity for whoever that wants to go into medium or long term investment. Some altcoins have started to uptrend movement with bitcoin and it is very likely it is not going to reverse sooner until another all time high is achieved in a couple of months from now, etherium and neo are good example

Here is part of the reason, a lot of the came in with over value, a lot of were not considering the impending bear market at the time also. A project that was designed to have 1M total total supply  which had sold at $1 per token during the peak period and successful started trading at $1.5 at exchange another project with less sophistication, less marketing but same total supply will still want to sell at same amount or higher or expect to raise higher fund. Not meeting all those target and owing much will amount to dump on the token during listing to realise more of the fund. It is not a crime if a particular project with a certain total supply sells at 0.1$ another with same supply sells at $0.001 the one that sold lower will have the potential to grow because investors bought cheaper than the former

Currently IEO's are becoming pupular and providing a more reliable option for new projects than ICO's. Previously a lot of new projects started by raising funds via their ICO sites and because of unregulated nature of this avenue, a lot of scammers used the medium to swindle a lot of victims.

Now the story has changed as it only serious projects that would want to go through IEO's, we no longer would hold only the project body responsible for any IEO scam but the exchange, so any exchange that values its reputation and users should do a proper scrutiny about any project before accepting their IEO sales. For instance if an exchange fails multiple times with their IEO, it will drive attention away from them, that is why Binance still draws a lot of attentions because it has recorded more successful and profitable IEO's.

I do not see there is anything to be scared about, crypto has been there before Binance and without Binance it would still survive, however, I would like to commend the business acumen and strategy of the Binance CEO, he is very intelligent and has contributed immensely to the crypto space, his idea of establishing a launchpad and introduction of IEO's is a notable achievement and a good way to deny ICO scammers of their meal ticket. I really hope other developers are learning and trying their best. The CEO is the one that walk the talk unlike some influencers that have actually lost their voices like McAfee

I think veil is still a low difficulty coin to mine, quite a number of them I have come across, though the profitability of mining such coins should be of importance, should not bother about coins listed on a single, weak and low volume exchange, a lot of persons may be dumping on that particular exchange and fine your energy wasted after a whole period of mining

Very rare to see someone who have made something meaningful from this kind of mining, it is very unpopular among notable miners, maybe for educational purposes like someone said. Even mobile miners earn more. Would better learn to trade than this

The advent of IEO is a blessing to the crypto space instead, at least a lot of those ICO scammers will no longer have a field day as they should be looking elsewhere to scam, bounty will continue to exist either for new or existing projects, the worry however should be how much they are willing or able to pay. I am quite impressed with litecoin and its movement, trying to find out why the huge growth but no real pointer, a very impressive movement so to speak, I had expected etherium to do a similar thing but I am quite disappointed with it so far. It is very likely litecoin will attain its all time high and exceed it at this pace while etherium will be struggling.

I disagree with you, quality research is not all that is required to land a successful bounty, remember some projects have had very good reputation and ranked very high but eventually the failed the expectation, here, one should not put all his eggs in one basket, do the research, try out the options available to you and pray you get lucky with the ones you choose
