81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BlackCoin (BC) | on exchanges | PoS | No premine on: March 17, 2014, 08:02:15 PM
It's funny just few people with few btc each can up the price by hundreds of satoshi. If we'd just stop over-bidding each other we could let it drop to ~1900 and enter there.

The fact they put so huge walls tells me they have big plans for this coin. It would be really stupid to sell if you bought at 3500+ satosthi right now.

How long does it take to move these from one exchange to another?

Also THAT WAS ONE MEGA DUMP!   Shocked

Man i got a big problem, i dont know when to sell, i mean, this coin can be everything  -.-  Grin

Do you guys have plans? A limit???

Sell some and keep some. Get your money you invested and some profit, and keep the rest.

I've got only 20k left. Now I'm watching for the lolz.
85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MINT]Mintcoin, Energy Saving Coin With a Fast Distribution *20 Exchanges on: March 15, 2014, 06:30:12 PM
My 2 cents. Mintcoin was\is a great idea. Still the best structure in my opinion. Blackcoin saw this was a great idea and copied it, so good for them.

Blackcoin then came up with a great idea of their own which is the multi-pool. Don't let the fact that BC is a Mint clone blind you to this fact. The multi-pool creates a constant buy pressure on the coin. Think of how much Bitcoin is bought by multi-pools selling alts on a daily basis. That's buy pressure!

Other alts will now build their own multi-pools. The sooner we add one the better.

LOL. Blackcoin has no premine. I'm not saying premine is bad, but anything over 0.25% is just profit for the devs. If they say otherwise, they're lying. Steady block reward for the POW phase. So no huge bonus for early adopters. Very small inflation and pure POS at this point. Then came up with an idea how to use your hashes in order to increase the value of the coin, instead of decreasing it. This is much more than just a clone.

Only thing that I don't like is the name.

Somebody should record trading on Mintpal and make a video. We are heading for history!

I'm serious. If you have some screen recording software and a free PC. DO IT.
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BlackCoin (BC) | on exchanges | PoS | No premine on: March 15, 2014, 05:59:35 PM
This coin is on the fast track to no sell orders. I don't think I've ever seen that happen.
We were really close but people keep putting them. So close you could see the end in the buy list at some point.

I want to understand exactly what the multi pools are doing with black coin because I am really confused. Are the all buying up the coin to pay bonuses with black coin like using it as a proper medium of exchange?

They're mining alts like normal multipools but instead of giving you BTC they use the BTC to buy BC and you recieve BC.

mine alts - > sell alts for btc -> buy BC for btc ->  you receive BC.

Dudes I don't know if you saw this but sell offers end @ 4800 satoshi on Mintpal. There are NO COINS TO BUY after that.

EDIT. And that's like barely 15BTC away.

There are more but not displayed Wink

There might be now. There weren't earlier. It ended at 4800 next was 25k satoshi.

Vote to get Blackcoin on Cryptsy - https://www.cryptsy.com/coinvotes

We are way down the list there, need to be much higher! BTC sent also counts as votes, like at Mintpal.

Re-post and quote this message throughout the day plz  Smiley

At this rate cryptsy might just add us based on trading volume alone.
+1 cryptsy just lose so much money / in same time Mintpal is very good : )

+1 I vote against Cryptsy.

Are we heading for 4k tonight?

I just have to step in and respond to the people saying this is a twitter pump. For those of us who have been here from the POW phase and beyond, it's quite obvious its not.

The coin dipped down as low as 500 satoshi, when it jumped to 1000 "Whales" started tweeting about how it was a pump they were trying to reach 1200 etc. The coin went to 1000, and stayed at 1000.

The same thing repeated yesterday with a jump to 2000, tweets coming out from "whales" about the pump and to sell because the "stable" price is 800 satoshi, once again the floor stayed at 2000.

Yet again it repeats today. It's been flying insane but it seems the floor has been upgraded to 3000. Just because you don't see behemoth buy orders holding it up doesn't mean the support isn't there. People are staring at mintpal 24/7 waiting for opportunities to buy in (including myself). I don't post buy orders and leave them there nor do the majority of traders. You'll notice there have been 2 flash crashes in the past hour or so, and they are almost instantly offset by a barrage of buys recovering the price, that speaks volumes.

These people you are following on twitter are scammers, they tweet these things to gain attention and followers. I went into the IRC to follow one of their "pumps" in which they prepumped a coin, then announced it and dumped their bags on their victims 100% higher. I won't name names.

This coin has 74~ million total, popularity is exploding, 24 hour volume has conquered DOGE, pool seems to be hashing out around 1ghash which just adds another ~5 btc per day in buys. I think the correlating price trend is obvious.

Growing community with the same total coins = increased base price.

I am absolutely uncertain where the coin will top out, but I'm holding out.

+1000

I'll name them. Cryptotrader and everyone involved with him.
99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BlackCoin (BC) | on exchanges | PoS | No premine on: March 14, 2014, 06:45:37 PM

You need that volume otherwise the market stalls and dumpers start to panic competing for sells knocking each other down as we have seen time and time again, let's not forget the ones getting the BC to put on the market for the pool to do the recycle process are the very people who do nothing but dump to turn a daily profit. The majority only care about 3 things, profit, btc and fiat. Those who are faithful and want the coin to succeed aren't enough to keep it afloat at current prices

You'll reach an equilibrium where price will floor to the point that the pool will be able to maintain a certain volume but it will drive the price incredibly low if the pool is the only source creating the volume which will be enough to keep the coin alive but to make the coin flourish it needs greater attraction

Agreed but 200BTC is a gross overestimation.
100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BlackCoin (BC) | on exchanges | PoS | No premine on: March 14, 2014, 06:29:24 PM
200 BTC a day? At 200 BTC/day the entire BC market would get bought out entirely in a week at the current 1900 satoshi price.  Roll Eyes

24 Hour Volume:
265.626 BTC

I don't see the market having been bought entirely and that's just mintpals 24 hour volume not including the other exchanges

265 BTC is TOTAL trade volume. Not money pumped into coin. I've sold and bought 3 times today at close to min/max worth of about 1.5-2 btc each time. That would translate in 4.5btc trade volume.
