Hi, this morning i download BitWallet app on my iPhone ... I buy 850$ USD on LocalBitcoins .. Transfer this amount to my BitWallet ..
All is good for now ... I try to send 350$ to my friend .. 2 hours ago .. 0 confirmations i check with the HASH code on blockchain ... UNCONFIRMED TRANSACTION !!!!!
I got 500$ in bitwallet .. Try to send it to other friend .. INSUFISENT FUNDS !!!

Looking at how big the number is, your transaction might be confirm very soon. Remember to include at least 0.0001 Bitcoins per transaction next time..

Greetings,
I'm a regular ham-n-egger in every sense of the word and most of these discussions are way over my head. However, I know an opportunity when I see it and would like to invest in Bitcoin or rather one of the other crypto-currencies that have more room to run. Where is the safest place to do it? I don't want to trade them or buy anything with them. For me this is a long term investment. Thanks!
The safest is Bitcoin ATMs since they are instant and does not require anything except cash or your ID.

Can anyone recommend a good(the best) miner hardware in the markets right now? The best bang for your bucks of course. Is it even worth mining anymore? Estimated ROI?
It's really hard to even hit ROI since the difficulty is increasing so hard+ your powercost and time taken to manage it. The worst part is that some of them don't even deliver their ASICs.

I my opinion, i believe all of them are the best, since they are all secure.

I would be really curious to see what happens to this site within a week

Anyone knows where to buy USB ASIC miners in Singapore?
Wouldn't bother with those. 2 GHS USB mines about than 0.00012 btc per day True but I wanna buy a couple if they are cheap enough. Anyone knows how much are those?

Blockchain does not have any access to your private keys. If you check your wallet address against other BlockExplorers, you will find that the amount of Bitcoins did not change. If you do not trust them, you can always export your wallet and use it with desktop clients like multibit. Edit: https://blog.blockchain.com/2014/03/20/notifications/They did give an explaination ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

I was under the belief and I'm probably wrong, but I thought BTC blocks were supposed to be solved every 10 minutes??
I've noticed that depositing or withdrawing BTC from any exchange, small or large can take upwards to an hour at times. Is this because there's not enough mining hardware online to handle the workload or the difficulty is set too high??
Just curious....
Maybe your transaction fees are not enough. Also, i observed that if too many blocks are solved in a small timeframe, the next blocks will be slower. (Correct me if im wrong) ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Thanks for your input.
For me, every time I've used Coinbase and made a BTC withdrawal it has immediately appeared in my wallet. This time about 3 hours. Admittedly, I don't use it that often. Just when I want to make a transaction. That way I replenish what I used.
Another thought, I made this transfer late at night. Perhaps they don't keep as much on hand during that time. Who knows?
I used to have nearly every transaction taking up to 24-48 hours. They will eventually cancel. Fixed now though, only have it occasionally. Use it because it have no transaction fees.

Ive used the tembusu and btc-exchange on at citylink. Both worked well. I think they both are charging 5% commission, but I'm not sure which exchange they are using- my guess is coinbase.
Will try the numoni tonight at SMU if the coffee shop is open that its in (wasnt when i tried on friday evening)
David
Considering to use either Numoni or the Lamassu Atm. Waiting to hear your review on the Numoni ATM.

I'm a little confused about something and I was hoping to get some help here on this. How do you become a Bitcoin node? https://blockchain.info/connected-nodesWhat is a node? Would this just simply be me running Multibit or Bitcoin Qt on my laptop or what would it be? If you are a node, would other transactions be seen by you, i.e. transactions seen by multiple peers? In order to be a node, you must port forward port 8332 and wait for other peers to be seen by you. A peer simply relays a transaction to the rest of the nodes. So anyone can become a node and you can do this through Multibit or Bitcoin Qt? You could not use multibit to be a full node. To be a full node, you must download the whole blockchain, Bitcoin QT does this.
