I truly believed that this was well distributed. But it seems otherwise, concentrated only among a few wallets. Disgrace.
Early adopters often benefit. You should have been paying more attention when SPR was launched.* Disgrace! *I wish I had too. Early adopters always benefit or risk. I've lost 50 BTC+ investing in talkcoin,frsh,MLS,Ucoin.....,sign Are you phm

Why don't put a decent sell wall by 40k, so that we could satisfy our hunger. @ airball

BTW: still up to now,Satoshi has 10% of bitcoin. In the first 3 weeks ,I've mined 42K DRK,but so what?? As the price went up slowly before May,I sold 95% of them. Never and never worry about big whale miners,in most cases, they are helping a coin to grow. But 90k SPR is too much of a holding by the current price. I envy you

I had tried the latest version and now it just didn't show any error but just closes when any key's been pressed.
Did you you uninstall the old driver completely?? Yes . . uninstalled, restarted and installed the downloaded version. Still no use try to delete the bin file and recompile it. There's no .bin file within the miner's folder. Can someone help?

I haven't ever done solo mining before. Can someone help me to mine with a few R9-280x's. Thanks
plz take a look at README.txt in the miner folder. It's very easy to follow. When i open the start.bat file, the miner crashes. Am having amd latest version. Can you post me the batch file input settings? Thanks in advance. Does it output any error? If it exits immediately and you cannot see what it prints then just add the following line to the end of start.bat: I get " In function: __OpenCL_signature1_kernel " what's the version of your AMD driver? 14.10.1006-140417a-171099C

So, 10 % shares of any future DAC's can be expected to be share-dropped for PTS holders, right?
|
|
|
Then i learned that spr's code base is forked from darkcoin's and implementing darksend should be 'a walk in the park'.
This isn't 'walk in the park'. There are many things that should be changed, look e.g. at masternode payments. In DarkCoin the owner(s) of the specific private key (this is Evan Duffield and co. I suppose) decide which masternode and when will receive a payment. In my opinion this is unacceptable, especially for a cryptocurrency which main feature right now is true decentralization. Thus we need a decentralized solution to decide where payments will go. DarkCoin experienced non-stability issues and forks when decentralized method of selecting masternode payments was used, this was because different nodes had different opinion about which masternode should receive a payment. I'm working on a system where forks will be prevented because the nodes which don't agree on masternode payments will be forced to accept the decision of the majority of the hashrate. You gave me goosebumps !

several hunderd sat now, is it dead?
PTS is very much alive, and more than ever. The old PTS coins that you own has now been scaled up approx 567 times. The total PTS supply has reduced, so in fact, it is worth more. Could you please elaborate a bit more about this re-distribution. I could see only the amount of PTS had actually increased to 999 million, but you are saying otherwise. PTS POW (ie OLD PTS) was designed to have a total money supply of 2 millions in about 2 years. At the time of upgrade, a total of 1.76 million PTS was mined. These 1.76 million tokens are scaled up to the new PTS-DPOS supply of 2 billions. The difference (2 millions - 1.76 millions) is the reduction in PTS supply. There is no re-distribution of PTS. If you have 1 OLD PTS, you will get about 567 new PTS (after scaled up to meet the new total supply). Edit: PTS POW has a 1% inflation target. The new PTS DPOS has zero inflation and it may even become deflationary when delegates start using burn-rate ie burning PTS. Thanks for the clarification @ Bitcube. So, Bitshares PTS wont be getting the 10% shares from BitsharesX DAC, right? Also, i could see alphabar's trying to promote PTS as the base currency for the bitshares platform. Isn't it like competing with the BTSX directly?

I had successfully read the entire thread and i couldn't find any fallacies or deception anywhere in here. Initially for a certain period of time, the Spreadcoin hadn't been added to any exchanges and the miners were left in a critical position, struggling to get paid for their time and power spent. The dev had been working and delivering whatever he'd promised. Initially this was launched as a CPU only mineable coin with some tweaks on X11 and after few days there was a sudden increase in the hashrate which was later found that someone was mining with GPU. There was a panic all of a sudden and some major sell offs happened. What's really surprising here is, since its only solo mineable the amount got dumped is only very few hundreds & thousands. The coin is very much fairly distributed and so only the real believers are holding a pretty decent amount. The rich list justifies this. Things got settled when the dev brought the GPU miner. The average traded price over the month of november is somewhere round 5000 sats. Once it was added in Ccex, many came to understand the real potential in this and at once when the dev promised to add darksend, some large trades happened averaging around 13000 sats.
As COINS101 was stating that some small group might be controlling the supply, its defenitely not so. Early adopters are very smart in here. DAMN . . . Why would someone sell such a gem among the scammy crowd of alts? Selling now would become a notable mistake in their crypto life.

|
It seems nobody is willing to sell @25K sato at cex that is a sign that the coins are controlled by a small group. that spells trouble for new investors and community members. think I'm staying away. Why is it trouble? Tis better we get the CHAINZ block explorer, to analyse the distribution. The present one's really a headache.

I could see around 950 million coins remaining unclaimed in the block explorer. What does it mean actually?
