Casinos sure seem to be profitable in the BTC world. Is there anyone winning? Or is it a bunch of people making money off suckers like me?
The answer is suckers like you. The games are set up with a mathematical advantage for the house and there is no way around it. Do you really think that people set up these businesses to give away money? The only thing you can make money on is poker and sports betting although it is difficult and most people lose. Poker is the only game you don't play against the house. They make their money by taking money from each pot called rake. So you have to beat your opponents for enough to cover the rake in order not to lose. Btc poker sites usually charge rake that is half what "normal" sites do because btc sites don't have the large costs of processing money or dealing with chargebacks. My mom would go to the casino to play slots. She said she found a good machine where if she put 3 nickles in she got 2 back. I said, no mom it took 1. She said, oh ![Shocked](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/shocked.gif) That is a pretty outstanding answer! After some overnight success with VTC, I think altcoin investment might be my preferred method of gambling. So risky, but at least a little more than a roll of a dice. I vow to be a sucker no more. Sorry, Prime Dice.

I've had my share of winnings, but I always go back, and then I've had my share of losing. Then its off to the ATM (coinbase) and then I'm really losing! Stop it, self!
![Undecided](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/undecided.gif) I know that feeling all too well.

I'm really excited about VTC right now. I'll put my team of high quality content creation professionals on your project for VTC. Here's my other thread in BTC Services (no need to repeat myself): https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=443732Rates are negotiable because I want VTC. I'll jump on this bandwagon.
I run a content creation firm that accepts BTC. Our blog functions as a nice writing sample gallery (see sig). More samples are also available upon request. We employ several high quality writers, editors and researchers to produce amazing content in almost any industry.
Also, to make it clear that I'm not hijacking your post, how would OP like to work for CK? I'll deliver you regular well paying work if you're up to snuff. Message me with some of your samples and links to published work. Of course, I'll pay in BTC.
Hooray for BTC commerce!
Sent you a PM with few of my work done in past Awesome! I'm all about working with skilled people who are down with BTC.

wow surprising poll, I figured this forum was filled with bitcoin millionaires, when in fact most people little to no coin.
we are here because we want to be bitcoin millionaires....the bitcoin millionaires are sipping martinis by the beach.... lol + Exactly. And besides... why brag if you own a large sum of coins? All you'd be doing is marking yourself as a target. I'll never share the number of coins in my cold storage. It's my number and nobody can have it. Sometimes I see people betting on Prime Dice with whole BTC. I think that's a pretty millionaire move. Definitely way outside of my tax bracket!

A lot of people just made 8-10x their investment with VTC.
Alt coins are worth spending some time investing. Spend time reading about new ones and find someone doing something new.

We just built a system that will help everyone generate unlimited leads/referrals to their freebitco.in site. All you have to do is create a free membership, submit your freebico.in referral ID and Like my Facebook page. We will than put your link in a rotation with all other members and distribute all traffic we get evenly. Enjoy the new referrals: http://satoshico.in/ .001 WEEKLY donation? How much do you anticipate an account generating from this? With the tiny usual payout, I feel like .001 donation would eat most of the weekly earnings (if not all).

I agree. The value is in the eyes of the beholder. What would convince you to go buy Rubbles from Russia, compared to Euros in Europe, or Canadian Dollars? Like any currency, you have to look at the added-value of each currency - the culture, the economics, etc. In the crypto world, if you like dogs, Dogecoin maybe good for you - a lot of people are trading it for that reason. Same goes with Cats, Firefly, etc... If you are a libertarian, go with RonPaulCoin. A porn addict? Go with Sexcoin - lots of Porn sites accepts SXC now. You feel that there is a "miner" in you? Go with Diamonds or Emeralds. If you are an economically inclined guy and want a currency which is backed with BTC, LTC go with Globe. With Globe, a 10% reserve is built with each coin to support the currency in the future, a bit like Fort Knox used to do for the US dollars. But instead of gold and silver, Globe is using BTC and LTC. Even if the Globe currency crashes on the market, it will always have a minimum value based on BTC and LTC it holds in its reserve. If all crypto currencies crashes, included BTC and LTC, well... there will always be good whiskey around to forget about the whole experience. Have a look at it - www.globecrypto.com or https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=360255.0And don't forget that a good whiskey bottle should always be purchased with any mining rig! Globe looks interesting! I like that it's backed by BTC, LTC and Fiat. That's definitely unique. What makes it a 'citizen of the world' crypto? Couldn't they all claim that?

I think a yearly subscription would be the most logical route. At this point most people have given in to their Netflix overlord. If they asked for a year upfront with a little discount people would pay it.

The infrastructure will expand and the internet will continue to be increasingly accessible.
I believe we'll start seeing countries who have been trying to escape laughably unstable national currencies unofficially adopt BTC, or some alt coin made for them. Imagine being a person in Cambodia who is now able to use BTC (smartphones and internet reach is no problem there) and sidestep the strange mix of USD and the Kip.
Simply having easy access to a decentralized currency is a game changer for people in "third world" (that title is so outdated and demeaning). Africa alone hosts countless countries that haven't been able to setup a stable economy. As long as they have a decent telecommunications infrastructure, they can tap into the relatively stable BTC economy.
It's an interesting situation and one I'm happy to be alive to see. We're looking at giving billions of people access to a currency that sidesteps all of their national bullshit and faults. Of course, there is work to be done, but I hope to see emerging markets and developing countries adopt the use of BTC and perhaps an alt or two.
