81  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do girls use Bitcoin ? on: March 09, 2015, 10:23:13 PM
I really think most girls have no idea what bit coin is

Neither do most people in the world, lmao.

Here's a survey dealing with people in the US: "65% of respondents were not familiar at all with it"

https://coincenter.org/2015/01/coin-centers-new-bitcoin-public-sentiment-survey/

This. We are still in the "this thing is a nerdy stuff" phase. Only after we get outside that phase it will make sense to talk about girl's demographic on bitcoin.

No we are out of that stage that was short lived went from that to its used by the drug dealers/takers(dirty people) now i believe we are into the conspiracy theory mentally ill people using it. Girls was there threw all stages and i am sure they still are, surely they must be.
82  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are you spending your Bitcoin? on: March 09, 2015, 10:11:56 PM

That's quite a lot of money, even in fiat terms!

That is a few bob there, i am interested what you spend them on if you do not mind me asking Smiley I barely able to spend one lol I am sure when we have more things available that i am interested in i will spend and make myself skint within a short period then have to top up again..
83  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: POLL: Is Bitcoin for EVERYONE or just a new ELITE? Vote! on: March 09, 2015, 10:08:33 PM
Bitcoin is for everyone!
Though it might have made the first to adopt it a new wealthy elite.

To me that sounds back to front, to start with it was created and cheap so everyone could adopt it easily in the process it will have created a few wealthy elite who got extremely lucky. It is still for most but it has cut out alot of 3rd world country's so i would not say for everyone but it is for most who want to be involved Smiley

Welcome to the Bitcoiners club!

I understand your pain and frustration. I was in the same boat once because I live outside USA and there were no exchanges in my country.

However I found Bitstamp which accepts wire transfer from international bank accounts. it takes few days to get funds in your Bitstamp account but at least it works.

Yes welcome aboard!

How much is the international wire though?

Last time i done one it cost like 30 euro :/ I will look into bitstamp because i find it hard getting coin without having to pay the premium.

Last time I checked, Bitstamp was charging $15 flat for wire transfer, regardless of the amount you send.
They have recently changes their fees structure and have lowered the trading fees. Not sure about deposit fees.

30 Euro is very high.

You guys don't pay wire transfers to your banks? I am not in the usa, tried signing with circle and coinbase with no joy i am having to use localbitcoins still at the moment that is a bit over priced but pretty simple would like something as simple for cheaper though lol
85  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 50,000 BTC of auction have been sent! on: March 09, 2015, 09:56:42 PM
Was there ever a statement saying how much was paid for that auction? If I recall correctly, at that time, 1 BTC was valued at about $600 USD.

Huh? No dude it was not $600 Smiley Also there will probably be no statement because that was a private auction so unless the buyer comes forward and states how much then we will never know which is fine. If you just make an educated guess you will find the ball park at least within $20 that he paid anyway my guesstimate would be he paid $250 per coin so a total paid of about $12 million/ What do you think?
86  Other / Off-topic / Re: If BTC goes to $1000 or more, what would you do? on: March 09, 2015, 03:46:29 PM
of course im sell it, but are u still believe bitcoin can reach to $1000

Yes I'm able to. I'm also able to believe it can crash and end up back at $0. If it can go from $200 to $1000, why can't it go from $1000 - $0?

so, it will crash to 0?

if it crashes to 0 it would not matter because the only way it does that is if it is dead and as i keep saying bitcoin will not die so therefor it is extremely unlikely, imo there is more chance of it going to the ridiculous figures  some talk about like a million than going to 0 Smiley

I cash out the minute it goes near 1000 as that would be the return i would be overly happy with
87  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When did you get into BTC and why? on: March 09, 2015, 02:50:25 PM
A year ago, when I heard about it from a friend. It was right after the pump and everybody were extremely positive.
Why? Because I was looking for a good investment and rates offered by banks were getting worse every year.

Glad to hear you made it but sorry to hear that dude so does bitcoin set you back around 600 -700 dollars? The rates from the banks are basically non existent better of hiding it under your mattress Smiley

Although i have read that some banks are now giving 4-5% interest annually but i think that is in Australia and the west are still not budging not that i care to be honest.
88  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTCPoint Creates 10,000 Bitcoin-Enabled ATMs Using Spanish Bank Network on: March 09, 2015, 02:44:47 PM
Hopefully it will be available in more countries! When we travel there, just bring our cell phone with bitcoin wallet! It will eliminate the need of credit card and huge transaction fees.

If you read the posts a few above yours you would see that it is more than likely going to be introduced to other country's they are in talks with them now and we will stand by and see how that goes. I am looking foward to buying from them if it is only a 1% above market then that is where i will buy all my coins in future. Good luck BTCpoint and well done Smiley
89  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Trojan targetting bitcoin! on: March 09, 2015, 02:28:12 PM
You have to be careful what you run on your computer these days. Your computer is like a bank account but more susceptible to thefts.

Your computer is only as safe as you make it if you want to go around clicking random links downloading random crap then even if you have antivirus you should be prepared to be infected there are many top hackers that can infect your computer without even the best av finding it.

Just be careful and do not download crap on the computer you use for anything to do with finance and all will be ok i have never had a problem thankfully, but i rarely use windows so that is a benefit.
90  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Cannot Succeed (heres why) on: March 09, 2015, 02:15:38 PM
Ok you guys are all right and I am wrong. 1 BTC will be worth 1000$.

I will wait until I am skeleton.

1000 is a reasonable price it could hit 1000 again,it went above 1000 twice already.

You are right it can hit a thousand again without a doubt although it has been dropping for quite some time it is not over by any stretch of the imagination in fact it has only just begun.
People need to use their common sense storing their funds and not leaving it with the exchanges also storing their coins on a computer which is off line most of the time and never downloads anything. Bitcoin will not fail have some faith.
91  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are some ways you can think bitcoin won't succeed? on: March 09, 2015, 12:49:46 AM
Why is this idiot posting pictures of a kid Sad What is wrong with you can you answer a question in a normal way without bringing a innocent child into the conversation you sicko. Just like you them sicko's was here before btc and will be here after btc unless we find away to change their brain chemistry and stop their illness and maybe at the same time help you guys who live under a bridge on your own living your sad and lonely life. These guys giving btc a bad name will be a set back but it will succeed there is not much that is going to stop this now.
92  Other / Off-topic / Re: If BTC goes to $1000 or more, what would you do? on: March 09, 2015, 12:41:51 AM
Its a silly question, because it all depends on why bitcoin has gone up so much, and how long did it take for price to tank.
If its a tank that happened in short period of time, yes, i would sell, but if it took months of fighting 10 $ by 10 $ then i would wait.

The most important thing when selling is being able to rebuy, and sudden tank of prices is the best case scenario when waiting for correction.

If however bitcoin starts trading at wall.st and goes up to 1000 tonight, i still wouldnt sell, so as u can see its not just the price that matters, its why the price happened in the first place.

cheers

I would follow his lead lol just stand by and wait for him to make his move then join him Smiley

No on a serious one if there was no obvious news for the pump i would be selling on the way up and then hopefully offload the rest at the peak easier said than done and would be kind of scared after i had done it waiting for the correction hoping no good news comes out to give it more steam.
Its all a risk and exciting my plans would probably go out the window when it started anyway but lets just see how it goes and take it from there.
93  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: INVEST BITCOIN!!! on: March 09, 2015, 12:33:05 AM
my frnds invest their money on a bank which pays 8% per year....lolz...and they says it is 100% safe hahahaha.....i bet that is surely safe :-P

If a bank is paying 8% for anything in this time of rates, they are taking enourmous risks. I am talking headge fund or atleast direct stock investments.

Supposedly interest rates in Aus are a lot higher than in the west. Many are claiming their banks offer 4-6% for savings accounts, for example. I'm not familiar with their insurance policies though.

I would take my money out of the bank if they started to offer this, the old saying rings home something to good to be true. Sounds to me like there is about to be a massive crash offering them rates. Obviously that is of course you friend is telling the truth and they are but either way that is the alarm to get the dollar out of there and invest in something like gold/silver.
94  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin a virus to humanity, just another thing to manipulate us. on: March 09, 2015, 12:09:41 AM
Come on lol there have been some conspiracy's and then some but this is by far the craziest thing i have ever heard i guess we need the DR to come and sort this mess out.

No it is not a virus for the demise of mankind it is just a computer program that could possibly release us from the virus that is fiat control and bankers. Now that i have said that it sounds like the anti virus but a anti virus has to infect to defeat hmmmmm
95  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When did you get into BTC and why? on: March 09, 2015, 12:04:01 AM
Hmm...

Heard of it from my brother who mined it back when you could make more than nothing from your personal computer  Roll Eyes
But I didn't get into it until a few years down when i decided to research it more heavily myself. Then I decided it was worth spending some money and time on and so far it's been amazing  Cheesy

So...

Your brother is rich now, or made a good amount of money..

Or did he sell it all back when it was worth next nothing and jumped off a bridge in december 2013?

He wasn't doing it THAT long ago. But at most I think he had 2btc from mining and sports betting, but he sold them off and hasn't shown any interest in it again aha

Your bother was doing it when the difficulty allowed for you to mine from a computer but only managed to make 2 btc?

That i some serious bad luck if you ask me.

OP i got in around a year ago when i was playing poker and a fellow poker player mentioned it in chat so i googled it researched for a few weeks and the rest is history Smiley

Actually i always thought that those faucets make money on donations and ad places, do they not ?
They might, but who will pay for anything on free host and no premium domain name?

Someone who cares more about traffic than freehosting and basic domain, if the faucet gets the traffic that is all that matters that is why they pay for advertising to reach more eyes not care about the above, correct me if i am wrong please do.
98  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Value vs. The Dollar on: March 08, 2015, 09:33:00 PM
WOW. This chart shows that the BTC price per Dollar is WAY OVER the moving average. That means there's a lot of opportunity for the BTC value to crash back to the mean.

The problem with these charts is that there's not enough history to make the data reliable. Additionally, the bitcoin economy is so wildly young that any crazy piece of new news can through the technical analysis out the window. It's great to have technical analysis, we need it, but we need to make buy/sell decisions carefully and inclusive of ALL information available.

Let's do what we can to keep the market efficient, meaning all available information is publicly available, and threads like this do that.

Do you realize this was from a month ago? Just drop by to speculation and economics and you will have all the graphs and information you need dude it is all there for you to take a look at and get answers from the op who might be around to help you out.
99  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: INVEST BITCOIN!!! on: March 08, 2015, 09:28:54 PM
WHERE CAN I TRUST 100% TO INVEST MY COINS for garentee payback
CAN ANY ONE SUGGEST ME ?

Just be happy with the investment you made when you purchased your coin because if you need to ask where can you trust to invest for a guarantee return then you are not ready for it dude. There are no easy investments in btc all is risky and that is good without risk where is the reward?
100  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bryce Weiner attempted to tip ISIS!? on: March 08, 2015, 09:25:47 PM

They've been using BTC for some time to raise funding for the terrorist activities.

They've also started selling antique and historical pieces from museums that they claim 'doesn't represent Islam' and whatnot.

Wow.  Do you have the links to where we will find that? Sounds interesting.

Yes please do provide a link because i do not believe it these guys take over banks and oil fields what do they need with bitcoin? The price is far to low for them to have been in it. What i think you are confused with is scammers pretending to be them and taking coin from the fools that is the thing with fools they will be parted with their money unfortunately.
