Anyway it has litereally nothing todo with NEM itself. Kodtycoon acted by himself. Yes, the devs knew about him testing exchanges but I doubt they knew about him using someone elses coins to do so and even if they did, I don't see what they could/should have done. If you're wondering what the hell cecvw and dannac want to acoomplish at this point...noone knows. I don't think he knows. |

Sorry, are you saying that reporting facts happened on the forum itself is sufficient to require a 'Clean up' of the posts ? I'm just asking as I didn't quite understand you post. Not sure if you are referring to the requirements for a clean up or or not. There is a big difference between reporting on facts and missrepresenting facts. You've done the latter. |

This is the most hilariously bad fud attempt I have witnessed for a long time. It's like a fucking soap opera.
I think kodty will write up what actually happend really soon so everyone knows and this can be put to rest. TL;DR: Kodtycoon helped make an exchange more secure (and received a bounty from said exchange) but made the mistake of borrowing a stake from a psychopath. |

In the meantime, since I will be there to sell my NEMs, I will ask to the exchanges how many NEMs the broken Dev has been able to stolen from them.. And if they really offer a bouncy for that... Because to been able to offer bouncy you need to be aware that someone is hackering or hacked you exchange. And I'm not really sure this is the case.. Offering you coins to delete that post or getting the coins later wether you delete or not is not actually blackmail.
Also, no coins were stolen. You would have been payed from that bounty. That bounty was given voluntarily.

As a person informed about facts, I can tell you that the guy is just trying to be conservative, that's the reason why he wants to discuss it privately first.
Its a huge sign of respect in regard of the NEM community.
Trust me, if he talks about it openly here, that would harm NEM in any case, true or false it will reveal to be.
So, don't feel sorry for him.
You should rather be prepared to feel sorry for yourself if dubs turn out to be facts.
Try to be a bit more polite, and patient.
That attitude doesn't help at all.

Following with interest!  Following with great interest. Reading between the lines, CECVW may know of an exploit in the NEM community client that could compromise exchange security. If true, that's pretty serious, and a white hat would urgently want to get in touch with the devs so a patch can be made. Yeah...he doesn't. And he didn't mention anything like that either so stop with the FUD. He didn't even hint at anything. It aint my story to tell but it is nothing of that nature. |

I am afraid to say that situation has just been handled by Dev sending me one unique PM asking if I want to discuss it openly or privately. So, nothing has changed, and nothing has been discussed yet. I wouldn't consider things back to normal at all, not yet at least So what exactly is the situation ? jaco38 apparently did not bother to deal with this serious issue after we explained everything in PM to him about what was the problem and he did not respond to a single allegations we gave him. We were just willing to discuss about this issue with the Nem core team before going straight to the exchanges and start to discuss it deeply with them. But if no one from Nem core is interested in discuss it, than no problem at all, we will discuss it straight with the exchanges, an I just found those older posts. Is it still about those 3 stakes you can't access eventhough they were sent to the addresses you registered ? |
