I am certain I do not have the batch 1 and I am at 650, I was unable to use the firmware to change frequency so I used awesome miner.
Translation, and please feel free to correct me: You were unable to change frequency via the web interface, so you used awesome miner to change the frequency for you. Behind the scenes, awesomeminer modifies /config/cgminer.conf to set the frequency and restarts cgminer to make that frequency take effect. I didn't say "only on batch1 hardware", I said "batch1 firmware". anyway. -j You are correct, except I did not change firmware, it's the stock firmware, I can send screenshot of miner when I get home tonight. I guess it's a stock firmware BEFORE aug 30 2018 ! But from witch date would be of interest ? Info about firmware versions and link to may 26 2018 firmware from batch 1: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4610213.msg45735658#msg45735658

Hey Guys,
Re: Miner Info section of Miner Status of A9 ZMaster.
What does HW stand for? And, what do the numbers mean?
Thanks.
I think it stands for HardWare error. can be big difference between each hashboard. From what I have seen, a rate of something like about 5-25% from "Accepted" seem's quite normal. But I hope someone who knows this for sure will give you an answer!!!

Hi guys
I'm having a few problems with my A9s and was wondering if anyone else has experienced the same. I browesed through most of this thread but didnt answers directly.
Temps are decent at 60-66 without modifying firmware. Place has pretty good ventilation.
Problem 1) Every 1-2 weeks each miner crashes. Not as in reboots, but crashes so I have to manually go to my site and reboot them. Any experiences or fix for this?
Problem 2) Im only getting 92-94% accepted rate. Poolside im at 142ish for 3 A9s. Is this low accept rate normal?
Best,
1) Try to find a solution where you can toggle wall power on / off from internet. I would try to find a solution which I could control from my iphone. could be part of alarm system. could be separate gsm/3g/4g mobile network control with it's own sim-card. or whatever but as I understand you need to toogle power off and on from remote location. 2. try to get mining pool with lower latency if possible live latency check: https://investoon.com/mining_pools/zecgood luck

Has anyone experienced problems running 650 mhz and up on the standard bitmain provided awp3 psu? The 1370 watt drawn at 650 mhz seems disturbingly close to the 1600w max on the psu since 1600 x 0,8 = 1280.
Typically, this is not the meaning of PSU power limit. You can run 1300W PSU like EVGA with on-the wall reading of up to 1430W just fine. i am not sure why you are multiplying 1600 by 0.8. First, only the worst PSUs have 80% efficiency (maybe APw3 is one of them, i don't know), which is a Bronze level. Second, PSU indication of 1300w (EVGA) or 1600 (APW3) usually means power output limit (to miner) and not power input (measured at the wall) AFAIK. That said, maybe Bitmain got it backwards, who knows. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4610213.msg46263811#msg46263811https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3375500.0

It seems to me it runs out of memory! What can i do to fix this. Do I need to change pool or will all pools eventually fill up their log space?
Thanks
It's totally my own conclusion that the problem with A9's restarting because memory full is because of the logs filling up. This I have found to be true and I have not seen anybody with any other explanation to why the A9 memory fills up so fast until they restart. Innosilicon are posting in this forum and they can hardly have missed my comments about this so the fact that there is no firmware or other solution to this problem is because Innosilicon apperantly don't have one. The only solution I can offer so far is mining at prohashing.com because the logs don't fill up like on other miningpools. I think that is a good alternative especially if you convert to BTC and/or some other cryptos. Conversion is instantanious. Please share if you find any other solution!

Hello,
I have recently purchased Innonsilicon A9 Zmasters, I was wondering if anyone could help me out. The machines are brand new and they seem to crash every 1-2 days, does anyone know what could be the cause of this, at first I thought it could be the pool that keeps going down so I switched to a different pool but the machines still seem to be crashing every 1-2 days. I did some research online and some people say it could be caused by the fan speed readjusting itself all the time.
Here is my miner log history: Oct 04 12:32:43 InnoMiner sgminer[3300]: Stratum from pool 0 detected new block Oct 04 12:32:47 InnoMiner sgminer[3300]: Accepted 37eaf11d Diff 0/274768 HLT 2 Oct 04 12:32:56 InnoMiner sgminer[3300]: Accepted cd3289a5 Diff 0/274768 HLT 2 Oct 04 12:32:58 InnoMiner sgminer[3300]: Accepted 24a23470 Diff 0/274768 HLT 1 Oct 04 12:33:01 InnoMiner sgminer[3300]: Accepted 36a97ece Diff 0/274768 HLT 1 Oct 04 12:33:05 InnoMiner sgminer[3300]: Accepted 258ee9b9 Diff 0/274768 HLT 2 Oct 04 12:33:17 InnoMiner sgminer[3300]: Accepted 04d96c12 Diff 0/274768 HLT 2 Oct 04 12:33:18 InnoMiner sgminer[3300]: Accepted 28b0b189 Diff 0/274768 HLT 1 Oct 04 12:33:19 InnoMiner sgminer[3300]: Pool 0 difficulty changed to 000038e38e38e38e380000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 Oct 04 12:33:19 InnoMiner sgminer[3300]: Stratum from pool 0 requested work restart Oct 04 12:33:19 InnoMiner sgminer[3300]: 1: chip 9: stale nonce 0xb3cfcff4 Oct 04 12:33:20 InnoMiner sgminer[3300]: FAN SPEED TARGET set to 27 Oct 04 12:33:20 InnoMiner sgminer[3300]: fan speed set to 20, TARGET is 27 Oct 04 12:33:21 InnoMiner sgminer[3300]: Accepted 296729c2 Diff 0/294918 HLT 0 Oct 04 12:33:22 InnoMiner sgminer[3300]: FAN SPEED TARGET set to 26 Oct 04 12:33:24 InnoMiner sgminer[3300]: FAN SPEED TARGET set to 25 Oct 04 12:33:31 InnoMiner sgminer[3300]: Accepted 1ddb5e41 Diff 0/294918 HLT 1 Oct 04 12:33:34 InnoMiner sgminer[3300]: Accepted 37498372 Diff 0/294918 HLT 1 Oct 04 12:33:41 InnoMiner sgminer[3300]: Accepted 1acef25d Diff 0/294918 HLT 0 Oct 04 12:33:45 InnoMiner sgminer[3300]: Repeat data! https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5041973.msg46410529#msg46410529Do all 4 cables from the fan's have good connection with controlboards ? ? ? how often do they readjust fanspeed? You write A9 ZMaster's with meaning more then one! If they all "crash" after about the same time then it's probably the memory that gets full and they REBOOT. If they crash simultaniously then it's more probably a power issue. If they do a REBOOT at the same time it might be a problem with internet connection (or connectionproblem with the miningpool you are using). (What do the logs say?) If they all chrash and it's not related to memory getting full and not bad cable connection it might have something to do with hight ambient temp and coolingproblem or even more likely problem with power fluctuation from the wall sockets to PSU's and/or from PSU's to the A9's. If its memory getting full: If you point one at prohashing.com and one at some other place like nanopool, flypool or whatever you will likely see that the one at prohashing doesn't fill upp its memory like the others. If you compere how much the different miningpools fill up the logs there is your answer to whats happening. Good luck!

This thread started when Z9 mini was the only Equihash-miner from Bitmain. the unlocked firmware you are refering to is NOT for z9 mini but for the bigger and faster Z9, correct ? ? ? Just asking so everyone reading your tips don't fuck up their z9 mini's !!!

Hello, I changed the firmware to batch 1 after 24 hours the miner was cut down and no indicator is working. Now I can not enter the admin panel of the miner. Can you tell what can be done about it?
fan running heat? Power working at all ? Yes fan and power supply working. Do you think that I can try to recover from the SD card Have you tried this method? https://support.bitmain.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003595387-How-to-reset-miner-to-factory-settings-(Depending on where your SD-cardslot is placed you will use method 1 or method 3, read instructions in link for method 1 and 3 to decide which alternative is valid in your case.) Recover from SD-card should be last option, I think! Hi. The miner does not start the SD card not work indicator light, but the cooler is spinning. Have you tried the method 1 or 3 whichever valid in your case using the "reset"-button function ? ? ? Have you tried having power only connected to controllerboard ? ? ? Have you carefully tried moving all of the cables to check if you have bad connection somewhere ? ? ? does fan speed up max and then go back down and automatic adjust fan speed IF it does then that part of firmware must be working(running) and adjusting according to temp measured from each hash-board. can you measure power usage from wall socket to PSU ? ? ? How much? AND the firmware you used, was it correct: may 26 2018 version Method : 1. Restore via Reset button (This method can be applied within 10 minutes when the miner boots.) After powering on the miner for 2 minutes, please press "Reset" button for 5 seconds, then release it. The miner will be restored factory settings within 4 minutes and automatically restart (no need to power off the miner). Method : 3. Restore via IP Report button (The miner will automatically revert to factory default firmware) This method is only applicable to the miner which with the SD card slot on the left of Ethernet interface. Please power off the miner, then hold down the IP Reporter and don’t release it. At the same time, please power on the miner. Releasing the IP Reporter after 5 seconds, the machine will automatically restore factory settings. NOTE: This method is not applicable to the miner which has a SD card on the right of the Ethernet interface.

can you have your cards like this:
/ / / / / /
If not:
set max temp where you feel comfy:
Have them run slower
take them up a notch at a time and see that temp ok.
du you only push air onto them or also pull air with fans ?
You need to remove the amount of air that is being heated every second so run them cooler and slower and find their sweetspots.
AND every single card can have it's own sweetspot when it comes to exact frequence and voltage if you want OPTIMAL performace/temp and temp equals power usage ! good luck!

Hi Guys I have trouble with my Inno A9 Zmaster fan speed. You can hear it rev up and down then up and down. So I checked the miner logs and it seems that the fan SET speed and Target speed keeps changing. What do you think is going on? Do I have faulty fans or is the miner faulty itself? I contacted Inno themselves but they cant find a solution... I would greatly appreciate if anyone have any sort of a hunch to begin looking at why this is happening. Thank you!!

I need past 3 months earnings of zec / day historical data with this miner. For example from above links which i gave in july it was 0.53 zec/day , in august 0.41/day as per miners. Need a chart which shows variation of earnings(in zec/day) vs diff of past 100 days or a data chart of past 100 days of coinwarz / whattomine predictions for each day. I hope someone has the answer for you(all of us) ! ! ! Sorry I can't help. Best of luck!

I also think it's good, but ... I have only been into mining and cryptos since beginning july this year. I'm still a kind of newbie and lots to learn yet Better let someone else with more experience answer and perhaps give feedback to us all !

Who knows how to disable logging. Because A9 reboots after using full memory. it is not profitable. Maybe there's just nohup <app launch >> "filename"
prohashing.com You will have something like only 45% used memory after 40 hours without a reboot. PLEASE VERIFY to everyone here that this statement is true, if you try! (Statement based upon own experience from friends with A9's. Seen it with my own eyes!) I mined about 15 16 hours on Prohashing. 2 out 4 A9s once rebooted but not from full memory, I dunno why but they rebooted. I have ping from prohashing about 190ms Average. And average Ksol is lower than 200Ksols ( about 170Ksols ) ...! ( each A9 = 41 Ksol in the Prohashing ) that sounds bad... Not good at all ! ! ! and Ping is ok ! ! ! does all 4 A9's have the same firmware version ? ? ? did all 4 A9's have about same temp on boards or same ambient temp ? ? ? are all 4 A9's in same subnet of the network or the same network ? ? ? Have you ever had problem with thoose 2 A9's before compared to what you would expect all 4 together doing same thing ? ? ? Have you contacted prohashing and asked what could be the cause that 2 out of 4 reboots when mining to same account ? ? ? (perhaps they can see something in their logs that could explain what happened ? ? ?) thats not logical, thats strange ! ! ! ! ! ! What about earnings/mined coins per hour or 12 hour compared to other mining pools ? ? ? what about memory usage compared to other mining pools ? ? ? Does not sound like prohashing works for you ! ! ! Have you run all 4 A9's on 4 different mining pools at the same time and compared 24 hour earnings ? ? ? Good luck anyways
