81  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [7000 TH] BTC Guild - Pays TxFees+NMC, Stratum, VarDiff, Private Servers on: April 09, 2014, 01:15:20 AM
I just switched mining pools to BTC Guild but even though the pool dashboard shows that I am hashing around 1.2TH, the BTC Earned is all zeros, any idea when the Pool will show earnings, I know 1.2TH is supped to make around .09 BTC/day.

Am I missing something?

Thank you

You don't start getting paid until a shift has been completed.  Read up on it here

https://www.btcguild.com/index.php?page=support&section=howamirewarded

Thank you for the info, new to this, from my dashboard I was part of 2 shifts with very small % of ppln shits but still don't see anything on my BTC Balance, just curious how long it will take for any BTC to appear in my account.

83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: April 08, 2014, 06:55:22 PM
Wow, how the mighty have fallen! I have lost all respect for Knc.

Even the option of receiving 3TH worth of Jupiters in April is pretty poor considering one can buy 3TH worth of Dragon's or Antminer S2s for less than 10k. Ants and Dragons are also more power efficient than Jupiters.

I'm not sure how anyone can make an intelligent argument as to why it would make sense to not refund now.

Agreed, just asked for a refund in BTC, hope they will do it instead of bankwire.
84  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: CGWatcher 1.3.6, a GUI/monitor for CGMiner & BFGMiner to help minimize downtime on: April 06, 2014, 06:49:33 PM
I have downloaded the latest version for Windows and have 6 Antminer S1 and having difficulty setting the software, could some one provide a step by step instructions on how to set this up, not quite sure how to do this, not interested in the remote access yet but just like to see an overl picture of my miners instead of logging in into each individual miner.

Any help would be appreciated .

how much does it cost to host something like that at a data center?

ALOT, but i believe he owns the place so  Grin

I don't own it, but I have good connections :-) PM me if you're looking for DC space, and I can introduce you to my connections :-D

I did PM you about the cost of DC and help finding a DC in NJ, would appreciate if you could tell us how much it cost you to rent the DC, doesn't have to be exact, range would be great and the power cost also. I have 6 S1's but looking to get lot more machines in the near future and invest substantial amount of funds to do this and would appreciate your input, We have a commercial building that we own and the basement is about 1000 sq ft and I am thinking about converting it into a DC but just wondering if it's cheaper to rent before I spend lot of money adding additional power, cooling, racks etc.

thank you

ARRRRRGGGGG!!!!!

They were arriving TODAY, guess not....

Not Bitmains fault but frustrating to see all those lonely PSUs on the shelf....

I have the same type of tracking, stuck in KY, was supposed to be delivered today but I think it will be Monday, loosing 3 days additional hashing, waiting on 2 units in NJ.
87  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL starts taking pre-orders for 1TH Imperial Monarch Miners on: April 02, 2014, 08:17:08 PM
Just leaving this here.....

https://products.butterflylabs.com/homepage-new-products/1-th-bitcoin-miner.html

performance of plus or minus 20%

Get your 801Gh miners here!!

All this pre-order stuff is like a Ponzi Scam.

88  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 Sales open] Price changes daily, now 0.893 BTC for 180GH/s on: April 01, 2014, 03:16:01 PM
I was wondering if there is a software out there that would allow me to check 6 Antminer's Status' simultaneously instead of loging in to individual ip address, perhaps I could enter all ip address' and passwords and then the software would show all 6 antminer's statuses?

any help would be appreciated.

I'm interested in a 0.12 coupon. Thanks.

Please PM me, cheers

How do you give/get coupon from members here?

90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What are peoples thoughts on the KnCMiner TITAN? on: March 22, 2014, 01:32:58 AM
I will never buy a pre-orde again, I think the sale tactic should be banned, waiting on a Neptune Order, let's see what they have for us but as far as the Titan, I would say do not order.
91  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Easy way to cool Antminer S1 on: March 18, 2014, 08:11:54 PM
You could install the heatsinks that they sell on ebay, people saying 3 degrees celcius cooler. They're like little stickers with thermal tape that you put on each chip and the DC-DC chips. If thats worth your time is up to you. I'd probably get two corsair sp120 high perforamnce and the AP120 from silverstone as it seems static pressure is what most important.

anybody got a link to the little heat sinks?
92  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: BITMAIN Antminer support and OverClocking thread on: March 11, 2014, 10:32:02 PM
I overclocked my 2 S1 miners but for some reason they are not running at 200GH, I over clocked them on March 9th, do you guys think that this graph looks like a overclocked miners?

https://www.dropbox.com/s/sy7n1ugc7dcuigw/Graph.png
That does look a little bit low tbh. What you need to calculate is your HW error rate. If you've oc'd without any extra cooling then it's not going to run at 400Gh/s.

The temperature on one miner is 46, 48 and on the other miner is about 48, 49 for the each board, I'll post pictures when I get home of the miner status.

I am not using additional cooling.
Yeah, it's the heat that's going to do it. I suggest clocking them back to stock or only slightly faster until you get some extra cooling or you run the risk of damaging the chips.

P.S. of course it could be down to your PSU if it's not delivering enough power... what are you using?

I am using Corsair CS750M R, have 2 PSU's one for each miner.

Does anyone know what this means?

Status
Unpaid
Unshipped
Expired

I ordered an antminer today and paid right away but didn't get a confirmation email and that's the status of my order.

I PM'd bitmain but no response yet.

Same here with 2 units I ordered earlier today but when I ordered 2 units about 10 days ago, the payment and emails were sent within the hour but now no order confirmation emails and payment emails, I guess we have to wait for Bitmain to respond.

97  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 Sales open] Price changes daily, now 1.085 BTC for 180GH/s on: March 10, 2014, 03:10:48 AM
.05 per day per antminer is very good. I wouldnt change a thing. I am making about .039 I think

He is making 0.05 per day for both. That is about 32 usd per day. Assuming he's using 900 W (overclocked, otherwise daily earnings would be a bit lower), that's 21 kwh/day. At 0.15/kwh that is 3 usd per day in electricity, for a net profit of about 29 usd per day. Over a three month period that translates to spending a bit under $300 for electricity and around $1400 hardware cost.

The point I am trying to make is that if this a profitable business model, with difficulty going up every 10-12 days it will take long time to break even.

98  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 Sales open] Price changes daily, now 1.085 BTC for 180GH/s on: March 10, 2014, 02:06:25 AM
I have been mining with 2 units for about 3 days now on Eligius Pool, it appears that both units are making about .05 BTC per day with the current difficulty, I spent about 2.85 BTC plus 2 PSU for about $225, this is a test for me, thinking about buying about 20 units but wonder if it makes any business sense.

Could you guys tell me how much in BTC your machine is making?

Any input would be appreciated.
99  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Overclock the Antminer S1 to 200GH/s] The EASY way! on: March 08, 2014, 02:08:25 AM
I am new to this, I was able to follow your instructions to login and view the file but how do you actually change the lines, what commands do you use to edit and save the file.

thank you

In order to overclock your Bitmain AntMiner S1 ASIC to provide 200 GH/s and low HW Errors rate with our settings you need to follow the steps below:

Code:
- Login with SSH to your AntMiner S1 ASIC using the IP and username/password you’ve set it to use.
- Type “cd /etc/config” (without the quotes) in order to get to the folder where the config file is located on the miner.
- Type “vi asic-freq” (without the quotes) to edit the config file, comment the currently set options by placing # in front of them and add the following lines or directly replace the values with the following ones:

option ‘freq_value’ ’5f05′
option ‘chip_freq’ ’393.75′
option ‘timeout’ ’36′

- Save the changes you have made and type “reboot” (without the quotes) to restart the miner, so that it can apply the new settings and start mining at 200 GH/s with the overclock settings you’ve set.

The Antminer Asics will be running at 393.75 Mhz

Make sure you check your temperatures after 30 minutes and ensure they are under 50 degrees c

I am running 8 x ant miners on individual Corsair CX500M power supplies at this rate for over 2 days now

Good luck.
100  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 Sales open] Price changes daily, now 1.135 BTC for 180GH/s on: March 07, 2014, 12:23:25 PM
have 2 PSU, got them working around 1 AM, the problem was the Custom DNS Server settings, after putting 8.8.8.8 the machines stared running and mining.

same thing here but I am using a Corsair CS750, got 2 units both are going crazy for few min and then they die., there is a red light on one of the units  and one flashing green light next to it.

I just got my first Antminer S1 yesterday. I went to set it up and it won't stay on more then a few sec. I'll turn on the power and It will flash a few green light on the side. The ethernet ports will light up and then when i go to log in about 15 sec after it Flashes crazy fast green lights on the side and dies. WTF?

What size power supply are you using ? If your supply is under powered it will shut off after a few min
600 watt Corsair. But i guess it could be bad. I'll go buy a new one in the morning Sad

I did't even check dose this company do returns/replacements?

how long do you hold down the reset button?

sounds like a PSU issue. I have a Corsair C600M with 552W of 12V power and it ran an overclocked antminer without problems. However, not all power supplies can push full capacity for 24/7 and some may not be able to hold more than 80% of the peak rating for a long time.

Try disconnecting power from the secondary blade and try again. If the device runs 90GH without problems but is having issues with running both blades then its a PSU issue

2 units on one PSU? that would be your issue if so
