Now I hear that Arsenal have agreed personal terms with Youri Tielemans. If they don't have any rival left in this race to sign him then I don't expect things to go bad for Arsenal. Leicester might be a little insistent about the transfer fee maybe but I believe they can find a middle way at the end. Arsenal haven't even completed the Gabriel Jesus transfer fully but they must have quite a lot money now to be confident about this transfer too at the same time.

Dortmund are one of the teams that like to sign and grow young and talented players. They are like a steppingstone for that kind of players. Erling Haaland was one of them for example. He wasn't known much by people before but things changed a lot after joining Dortmund. It is going to continue to be the same for very talented players like him. Dortmund's main goal must be this because of that. If they aimed the Bundesliga championship first then they would build a squad according to it.

There are actually better defenders for Manchester United to be able to sign now but they are trying to sign Martinez for now. Of course I understand Erik ten Hag that he knows him well as he is his old player at Ajax. He must be confident about his talent and what he can contribute with to this team. I hope he adapts to the team well which would be great for their defense. Arsenal are also in the race as you know but Manchester United must be closer thanks to Erik ten Hag.

This time Neymar is rumoured with Chelsea instead of Juventus. Because it is alleged that PSG don't want him in the team if possible. Chelsea might be able to take advantage of this situation of course but I'm curious how much he would cost Chelsea. Besides Chelsea might need a striker first rather than a winger now. Or maybe their plans are different about that and they will go for Neymar. I'm looking forward to seeing a solid left winger for PSG in that case. They will need one to play solid in the Champions League if he leaves.

We have left the first practice session behind by the way but the half of the drivers didn't even have any time recorded. The first three drivers were like Bottas-Hamilton-Sainz. We can't have a clear opinion from a session like this of course. It is expected to rain tomorrow also and I started to think whether Hamilton who is the master of rainy weathers would be able to do something unexpected in qualifying. But I still don't think that the car would let him do that.

I don't expect such move from Alvaro Morata to Arsenal either. If Arsenal didn't get this much close to completing the Gabriel Jesus agreement with Manchester City, things might have been different maybe. It is good for Arsenal not to try to sign Morata also because I think he is no more than an overrated striker. I have watched him with my own eyes for a long time and he has been a disappointment in the centre-forward position most of the time. Juventus didn't even want to continue with him more.

I think it's possible that Tottenham will enter the title race after they start to remodel the squad for the better now, there are indeed several other teams who are favorites to win the league but I think with all the changes made by Conte now it's not impossible for Tottenham too won the English league, with the arrival of some great players to tottenham coupled with Conte experience and expertise I don't think we can underestimate tottenham next season, indeed currently manchester city and liverpool have a good attacking trio,  but now with Richarlison in tottenham, tottenham attack line also cannot be considered trivial because their have a trio Kane, Son and Richarlison who are often deadly to the opponent defense so far.

Tottenham had better times like finishing the season in even the second place of the standings. They can bring back those times if they continue to make significant improvement. For example, something has really started to change positively for them after Conte joined the team. They are likely to carry this to one upper level by their new transfers. Tottenham will need a strong system like Conte had at Inter. The Serie A and the Premier League are different from each other of course but Conte is a great coach and he can develop a good strategy here as well.

You just said Barcelona need extra players, Otherwise their midfield will remain weak. Frenkie de Jong is in the midfield position, losing de jong will only burden the barcelona midfield. And barcelona has a shortage of players, not a surplus of players, right. 85 million euros will not be enough, because barcelona signed de jong with 75 million euros from ajax, plus manchester united also have to take over or replace Frenkie de Jong's two season contract remaining at barcelona, so i think barcelona have not agreed on that value.

Transfermarkt confirms that Barcelona signed him for 86 million euros not for 75 million euros.

https://www.transfermarkt.com/frenkie-de-jong/transfers/spieler/326330

I said that they would need to sign a midfielder in case they sell Frenkie de Jong. Because his departure would make the team weaker than before. This is still not a profitable deal of course but they aren't in a big loss at the same time. It is just some news saying that Manchester United are close to finishing up the deal but maybe it won't happen at the end. Barcelona need money of course but they shouldn't be doing this by selling their important players.

Youri Tielemans is a target for Manchester United also now. Arsenal must be worried about this because they are also making an effort to sign him seemingly. I don't know yet about what Tielemans thinks about going to one of these big clubs but I presume he would like to. Leicester didn't have a good season and they missed the chance of qualifying for a tournament by a few points. Maybe this can also be a factor to affect his decision about leaving. He is a great midfielder and he would do just fine at any of these teams.
90  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: June 30, 2022, 12:31:26 PM
I have two favourite teams for the World Cup title from South America (Brazil, Argentina) and two from Europe (France, Germany) now. There are some teams like Belgium and Portugal too but I feel like none of them will make it to the title. The reason why I see Germany ahead of the other big teams I mentioned is that they are improving themselves again to start performing like in the old times. I see a big potential in them in this tournament and I will see if I'm wrong about them.

Antonio Conte has won the League with the last three Club's he managed ; Inter Milan, Chelsea, Juventus.

Do you also think that, ( like I do ) That Antonio Conte can win the League for Tottenham Hotspur ?

~snip~

It isn't impossible achievement for them above all else. However it would be too difficult for Tottenham to reach the league title while there are very strong candidates like Manchester City and Liverpool. Tottenham should get lucky at the same time while they are also performing superbly. Conte is a wonderful coach and he would like to achieve another Premier League title again. But he will need to be patient on one hand. They have started signing good players like Richarlison and this would make them more powerful. The thing they need the most is consistency.

Interesting, now clubs with a lot of money will easily buy the players they want. It seems that the current achievements of the club are not too important to carry out the process, the process is only through purchases and money. But what about the rules of financial fair play, what are the limits? I don't think I've heard much about this rule at the moment. To be honest, if this financial fair play is carried out then there may be no dominance in any league.

The financial fair play part is really complicated for all of the big leagues actually. Because we have seen rich teams spending insane amount of money to make signings before. There were many cases that made us criticize financial fair play rules for those teams but I didn't see much sanction to be applied to those teams. If the system works clearly you can be right about that. In that case teams would have real limits and maybe the challenge in the league would be a little harder.

Here we go! Inter are going to announce a Romelu Lukaku transfer after his medical today. He is going to be loaned to them until the end of June in next year. After bringing Joaquín Correa for 23.60 million euros this is going to be their second transfer this summer. Lukaku must be happy to come back for sure. He will find a strong Inter here again and now I expect Inter to be even more challenging for the league title. The season Lukaku played at Inter was incredible and he contributed highly to the team. Why wouldn't we have another one?

According to Mail Chelsea are interested in some other players than Sterling also now. Zinchenko and Ake are players who are in their transfer list also. These are both players who didn't have so many chances in the starting eleven last season. Zinchenko played in 15 EPL games and Ake played in 14 league games. On the other hand I think Manchester City wouldn't be too eager too sell them directly. Because these players performed nicely when they found chances. Maybe they will want to keep them as reliable subs but let's see.

The Silverstone GP is getting close. It is one of the special tracks in F1 in my opinion. In the last eight years Lewis Hamilton had an overwhelming performance like winning the GP seven times. Sebastian Vettel was able to win once in 2018 with his SF71H. However it looks like this dominance of Hamilton is going to end as long as Mercedes team are in this problematic condition. For the upcoming race for example, I see no chance for Hamilton to win in normal conditions. The closest drivers to win this race are Verstappen and Leclerc to me.

The Frenkie de Jong deal between Barcelona and Manchester United could be completed soon. Because Manchester United have made an offer worth 85 million euros bonuses included and Barcelona seem to be okay for that. This would make things more difficult for Barcelona as they will need to sign an extra player also. Otherwise their midfield would stay weaker. Maybe they still have many midfielders but Frenkie de Jong is a regular player in the starting eleven and his performance has been good too.

Argentina have improved their game a lot in the recent times indeed. Messi is still a big help for the team of course but they have many really skilled players in their squad right now. Their performance in the qualification round for the World Cup has also been mesmerizing. They made Brazil big difficulties in their game there. When it comes to a finale between Argentina and Brazil I must indicate that it would be great. But this would feel like a Copa America finale at the same time.  Cheesy  So I think it would be better to have one of these teams playing against a European team in the finale.

It is really nice to point out that Bundesliga is going to be in the Champions League with five teams next season. Frankfurt had a really big achievement in the Europa League last season by defeating Rangers in the finale. I don't remember Frankfurt in the Champions League for a long time or maybe this is even their first time there. Maybe we might not see the majority of these teams in next round of the tournament but this is still a big success for the Bundesliga for sure. These things help the country points increase.

There are still rumours about Ronaldo that he would join Roma in the summer. Jose Mourinho is his old manager and maybe he would be eager to play under his management again. But I don't know how much Ronaldo would be interested in signing for Roma now. I still think that the possibility of staying at Manchester United is overhelming this rumour. Manchester United have a bigger potential than Roma actually as they have more qualified players in general. Maybe Ronaldo would want to stay for one more year rather than joining Roma now.
100  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: June 26, 2022, 02:56:01 PM
Chelsea's biggest needs are at least one defender and striker each. de Ligt is definitely a first class defender now and it would make Chelsea solid in defense again. However they lost Rudiger and Christensen both at the same time so I wonder whether there will be one more transfer to this position too. Signing a striker will be very important for them also as Lukaku is almost leaving the team to join Inter now. Havertz and Werner are decent players but their performances haven't been enough.

I think they have Sarr there and there is Chalobah who did well last season so I think they are gonna stick to only one buy at Central defence. As for striker, yes they do need a reliable and experienced striker. It will be a tough one for them to find one who will fill exactly what they are looking for.

Havertz is not a goalscorer and well he is trying. Werner is also having difficulty but he has great pace but not a good finisher. They can still use Ziyech but unfortunately Tuchel doesn't favours him a lot. I think it's time to use some of the options properly. Also there are lot of young players filled with potential like Gallagher, Broja who can really contribute well if given chances.

You are right about Havertz in fact. He is normally not a striker. His main position is attacking midfield but Chelsea have used him as a centre-forward for a very long time. He has been doing well too but not good enough as I said. I don't know about those young players much but I hope they have a good talent. Because if Chelsea don't manage to sign a striker after Lukaku's departure then they might be in need of the help of those players too. But we'd better not see Chelsea as desperate to sign a striker.
