I've added a request so polo will see there's interest to get it on.
If you want TEK on Poloniex then fill out the Coin Request form at Poloniex to ask that TEK be added. The more people that fill out the form then the more likely it is that TEK will be added to Polo. I like it when people do something about it, rather than just talk about it. I'm OK with Cryptopia, but if there is a positive move to go for Poloniex as well, then it gets my support. Getting TEK listed on an exchange in another hemisphere can't be bad, so let's focus on Poloniex for now. To request it to be listed you have to fill in a Coin Request form. I'm quite happy with Cryptopia while the speed and momentum of Tekcoin picks up again. I've found Cryptopia withdrawals to be phenomenally fast; faster than any other exchange that I've been on. So far, touch wood, I've also found them to be ultra-reliable.
Talking about wood, I think that we should encourage the growth of the Cryptopia acorn into becoming a mighty oak ... by using it for all coins, not just Tek. With regards to volume, that is in our hands in spreading the word of how good Tekcoin is. At the moment, with the exception of a few, we seem to be lazy, quite happy in staking Tek.
Currently the price of Tek is starting to creep back up as it dawns on people that there are two types: the good type on Cryptopia which is on the right fork; and the bad Tek which it seems, due to Yobit's negligence, is on the wrong fork.
The panic selling of Yobit's duff Tek has affected the price of the real Tek on Cryptopia. Once the link between Cryptopia's good Tek and Yobit's bad Tek is severed in the minds of investors around the world, some of whom don't speak English, we should see a robust Tek showing in market capitalisation. Tek is a top POS coin with some highly respected supporters.

I think most of us are satisfied with the way Tek performs. We are quite happy in staking Tek and selling off part of the interest every now and then. We don't need to buy Tek. Tek is created every time we open our wallets for minting. We should spread the word a little more than we have been doing. We should sit down with at least 6 friends, or relatives and install Tek wallets for them to show them how good it is. Some people would like to join the Crypto revolution, but can't get their heads around to doing it. Those enlightened 6 should then do the same for 6 more ... and again a few more times ... you know, the 6 degrees of separation bit, only this will be 6 more effective to begin with ... and then will mushroom until everyone in the world knows a Tekhead ... through 6 degrees of separation ... if followed through at least 6 generations ... - I don't think it quite works like that, but you get the gist.  The same goes for HoboNickels. At the moment someone is manipulating the price of Tek with 'fake' sell walls in order to push the price lower into Buy traps. An influx of a few more Tekheads would take care of that problem. As it stands at this moment of writing, 0.0161 BTC would wipe out the entire sell wall from 20-30 Satoshis ... whoops, I've just done it ... just on a whim! I bought all from 19 Satoshis and planted the Sell price into the 30s. Will my seeds be watered?! It currently stands at 31 Satoshis. Now watch the 'fake', flimsy sell wall re-establish itself EDIT: within a few minutes of posting this, true to form, the sell wall came back .... 30 ... 29 ... 28 ... 27 ... 26 ... 25 Satoshis ... so I took it back up to 31 Satoshis with 0.007 BTC. Moral of the story: Don't be panicked into selling low if you want a reasonable price for the rest of your stash. I should imagine the price will shoot up anyway when those stranded on Yobit's fork wake up ... and others too. Tek is a top POS coin and POS is the way to go. Ethereum and the Dao are only just realising that. |

Do NOT use YOBIT
they are not allowing withdraws or deposits and may be on a fork, they do not respond to customers I've seen 'fake' Tek sell walls being contructed on Cryptopia several times today. Could it be Yobit trying to get cheap real Tek to replace the invalid Tek on the Yobit worthless fork? Don't sell cheaply! Someone is trying to panic you into selling low. If Yobit are trying to replace their bad Tek with good Tek, as has been suggested, then the good Tek price should soon shoot back up to the level where it belongs. I'm amazed that Yobit's forked Tek is still being traded on Yobit and is roughly the same price as the good Tek on Cryptopia. Yobit has dragged the price of good Tek down to their level. Surely people know the difference? Does nobody read this thread? |

Good to see the Yobit warning on the Opening Page. I think this needs to be in several languages though. It's obvious that people who can't read English see the price on Yobit drop, panic, and then sell on Cryptopia at a higher price, further causing severe price drops. I've done several translations below using Google translate. Perhaps international readers could correct any errors in translation and then for the warnings to be added to the OP. It seems like we are heading towards 200 btctalk pages with this meaningless chitchat Long live HBN .. but we are heading towards 20BTC capitalization for sure and it is not obvious if HBN jump to +1k sat price ever back I don't think that the "chitchat" has been meaningless. I believe that price manipulating 'sock-puppets' from other coins who are up to no good have tried to move in on HoboNickels. I've seen the same sort of mountain-out-of-molehill, 'faint-heart negativity', trying to build something out of nothing on the threads of other altcoins. From what I have seen, HoboNickels has been robustly defended. Since you are obviously focused on the price, I would have thought that you would have appreciated those efforts to some extent. - HoboNickels is safe. Of all the POS coins I have holdings in, and of all of the many that I have tried, I regard HoboNickels as the top POS coin. Number One.
- Coin-supply inflation has never been a problem. HoboNickels has an intrinsic, scarcity value potential - and I believe that it is massively under-valued.
- I also believe that this will become apparent in the not-too-distant future when there will be a shake-down in the altcoin world, when the real world moves into serious crypto-currency investment due to economic crises, with the coming of age of the cryptos, and the like.

Too much speculation! I suspect Tranz is still very much with us. With something as good, and as well thought out as HoboNickels, I think it logical that he would take great pride in his achievement and keep an occasional eye on the project.
We shouldn't blame him for taking a back seat and ignoring any crassness that appears here. He has a life to lead ... and lives can be complicated enough without having to be tied to this thread 24/7, on demand. I notice that he does pop up when something tasty appears.

Perhaps Tranz has other personas on Bitcoin Forum. Perhaps not. For me it isn't an issue. This coin is almost three years old. I've been with it for two. In all that time HoboNickels has run smoothly for me like a dependable friend, and I have never had a problem with it. |

Yobit now has their very own version of TEKcoin. Coins bought on Yobit are not usable with a wallet on the correct chain or Cryptopia. You will need to sync up an old forked YobiTEK coin and only trade there. The chains are not compatible and wont be in the future.
