81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: "What will ACTIVATE the next BULL RUN?" - CZ Binance on: December 10, 2018, 08:20:32 AM
Nowadays everybody declares whatever suits them better. That doesn't mean that they are correct and want to help you. They usually want to sell you something.
In this case, although the idea "Ignore the noise, think bigger, plan long term" is 100% valid, the top post has 2 links to a coin/token/ICO thing. I don't say the coin/token/ICO is bad, but I don't like this type of "hidden" commercials.

Thanks a lot for your comment -  I appreciate the interaction. I'm sorry you felt as if I tried to sell you something. I believe there's nothing wrong in interacting more with the technology. The link at the end is for people who are interested to offer feedback on the project Smiley. This doesn't change the legit question of the post and the discussion here.
82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: "What will ACTIVATE the next BULL RUN?" - CZ Binance on: December 10, 2018, 07:03:19 AM
I think that new projects will take their place in the history of crypto world unequivocally, but a turbulent market that is now in decline can really discourage developers and investors. The author of the post is absolutely right that the best will be those who are really focused on their business. Otherwise, the interest in the project will quickly fade due to the omission of the initiative. The market is still to recover and will give really relevant projects a good chance to shoot.

Let's hope for the best Smiley

I tend to agree that Ethereum is no longer a good altcoin, it is approaching those shitcoins, which is very unfortunate. I used to be optimistic about Ethereum because I think Ethereum can bring changes to the entire crypto industry, but now It seems that this has not happened, I am very disappointed.

What do you think about Serenity's upgrade?
84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The POSITIVE effects of ETH going down on: December 10, 2018, 06:56:11 AM
It is good to point out that bad projects would be wiped out what about good projects that we lose out because of their bad management of their treasury, not because the projects is bad but because they are stupid enough to hold all their funds in crypto as most people preached HODL and the whole project suffers, the disturbing thing now is that why do ICOs has for $50 million when we have seen now after the crash that they can do with $5 million

Good point there - Too many ICO raised ridiculous amount of money.

The positive efffects of ETH going down

1. Short term investors are put off
2. Hype based projects that never deliver are discouraged to put in the extra effort.

Perhaps it's the perfect time we wise up about this domain - investors need to do better and more research, have direct contact with teams and really look into the technology.

Agree?

Speaking about technology - I'd appreciate some feedback on our now open source prototype: https://github.com/ElrondNetwork

For me the positive effect of ETH price fall was everyone can afford it to buy and hold. Because i believe that ETH will Bounce back in the right time . I still believe in the Ethereum charisma and power to lead after this Bearish condition was over.

Good times to buy indeed Smiley

I think when the groups discussing cryptocurrencies become quiet, and investors who have just entered the market for a short time are leaving it, then we can think of the next bull run. .

Interesting perspective...
87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: "What will ACTIVATE the next BULL RUN?" - CZ Binance on: December 08, 2018, 02:06:39 PM
Reality is nobody knows for sure, I think we need more than just the SEC approval for the ETF to start a bullrun, it has to be a mix of positive events

That's thy people need to start having a long term perspective
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The POSITIVE effects of ETH going down on: December 08, 2018, 02:03:47 PM
Just like other coins or altcoins, ethereum is no exception. If ethereum price is going down and lower than expected then it is favorable to traders but not to investors. Investors can be a trader but most of them want profit and increasing price so that their money can have profit. And newbies? They are afraid of losing because of decreasing price of ethereum, they are the only one who will dump their holdings for a bigger lose because they are afraid that if they hold on for long term, their loses will be much greater.

That's why it's key to have a long term perspective.
89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: "What will ACTIVATE the next BULL RUN?" - CZ Binance on: December 08, 2018, 02:00:17 PM
I don't think there will be one single event that will trigger the next bull run, for me what we need most is a working dapps that will change the misconception about crypto, if we could get a dapps like pokerman and for me with the way thin s are now we are likely to see this bear market go longer than we are prepared for though we will see some pumps on the way but people need to be prepared

Agree with you there - more building and real world use cases.
90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The POSITIVE effects of ETH going down on: December 08, 2018, 12:51:22 PM
For positive thinkers out there, they will sure find good news from bad news. One of the good news of long bearish market is that scammers are slowly moving away from ethereum, the king of ICOs. Also, the awareness of the people here made some not.so good projects easily exit the fields.

funny how a "trustless" technology needs so much trust from investors huh? Smiley
91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The POSITIVE effects of ETH going down on: December 08, 2018, 12:42:33 PM
The positive impact of the decline in ethereum is that of course ethereum prices are cheap and this is an opportunity to be able to buy them to be invested in the future, I believe ethereum for the future will continue to grow and still provide good profits for investment

It will be interesting to see what Ethereum 2.0 brings to the table
92  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: "What will ACTIVATE the next BULL RUN?" - CZ Binance on: December 08, 2018, 12:22:28 PM
Nothing is activating the bull run, let us in one accordance enjoy the bearish period together
there is no demand for bitcoin so there is no bull run

maketcap has dropped over the months, dont expect a sudden miracle to pump it up withing weeks
don't be deserved, don't be fooled,

face reality, ignore suggestions and experts
be yourself.

"ignore the noise, think bigger, plan long term" - also stay positive Smiley

For those people who understand the technology and potential of cryptocurrency, they are not afraid of all the things happening in the prices of the coins. They know that the current downward trend will end. We should focus on ways in improving the technology such as adoption and applications.

What do you think is the importance of scalability in discussing adoption and applications?

Our CEO at www.elrond.com once said: "Ignore the noise, think bigger, plan long term" - so regardless of current market sentiments good projects ought to focus on the tech we must deliver - focusing on the BULL RUN too much just distracts teams from achieving their goal.

Plan long term is probably the only thing you can do to survive this time. So either that or the market leave, but leaving is not an option for me. That is why i am starting to plan long term and i hope i have succeeded.

Good luck mate!

I don't see any other ways to trigger next bull run this year again but mind you let's keep hoping that Bakkt and ETF do there thing by January and February 2019 then just maybe we can see a huge spike ,even if we don't see any after the approvals it will surely return by year ending of 2019,let's all wait and hope for the best ,and long term is still the only way for me

Might just be that Christmas period is not helping at all - people just want to lay back and turn off for this period. 2019 - sounds like an interesting year indeed.

In regards to the tech I'm talking about - Check out this thread and see what I mean: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4430681

Thoughts?
97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH USD going down has two positive effects on: December 07, 2018, 06:12:18 PM
This is part of what has always been said and that i have always reiterated to folks around me. When it comes to investing into any project, team is of utmost importance. Extensive research needs to be done inline with the team. Never base your judge on a project on what you have read alone, but also build direct relationship with the team and do not invest in a project based on anonymity.

Totally agree!
98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH USD going down has two positive effects on: December 07, 2018, 03:41:24 PM
I hold a good % of my crypto portfolio allocated in Ethereum but I'm not worried. Eth is a solid project and has a strong team with good minds and a capillar distribution. I think long-term and in this way I don't care too much about this bad period.

Good attitude
99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH USD going down has two positive effects on: December 07, 2018, 02:56:44 PM
indeed you sent a good prototype. but how is it interesting in the eyes of investors to leave their funds on your project

Very good question - I think especially in this market - one quote type of answer won't do and there needs to be intensive interaction between investor and project. Anyone interested in our tech is first invited to interact with us more. You can find more details on this thred: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4430681

ETH USD going down has two POSITIVE EFFECTS:

1. Reduces the interest in the space for short-term focused investors;
2. It also reduces the interest in the space for projects aiming to quickly raise money on hype and never deliver.

Perhaps it's the perfect time we wise up about this domain - investors need to do better and more research, have direct contact with teams and really look into the technology.

I'm not agree with you, the speculators were converting their money to the fiat and they will create another movement again in the future. But i agree with your second point. Only the serious project will get a lot of attention from the investors.

Let's hope that at least the serious projects get the attention they deserve - it's a shame to see so many good projects die
