So are the bugs fixed now? new wallet download link?

No, still looking for a fix for the mintpal data. It has something to do with it being HTTPS, but I can't find the correct workaround.
Have contacted other coin devs that included market data, they have the same problems.
Will keep you guys posted.

Any update on the Mac Wallet
Maybe I should get off my lazy a$$ and do it myself Smiley

I need to remind everyone that our investment in ASIC miners is not intended to ROI in FIAT, but to supplement our PSP. Most ROI estimates are based on the fact that miners will mine and sell for BTC then to FIAT. However, the PSP does not work in that fashion, the PSP will only create a steady stream of revenue to buy CAIx on the open market without causing dumps naturally caused by multipools, thus increasing the current value which means certain rise in CAIx price to a stable high level, at the same time allow us to partner with a well known provider of merchant services that will adopt CAIx. I know some people already know some details, but I can not hype this or even advertise it yet, till a deal is finalized. As soon as the miners arrive which is not very far, and the PSP is in full swing, we will be able to announce a major step forward for the CAIx community.I will no longer hype our plans to whales to pump and dump on us. Those days are gone. I would rather see a gradual rise to our PSP price level, to bring the community confidence back.
I would also like to invite some miners to mine on our multipool, mining CAIx at this price level might not be super profitable atm, but within a month or so you will thank me for this. You can find the link to our multipool in my signature.

* You should expect a gradual rise in CAIx prices, but some people will exit on the way up, it will be a bit of a rollercoaster, but that is the case of a natural rise. We will maintain our listing on Mintpal " which was sold to Moolah.IO " and we will operate our PSP on Mintpal.

Thanks for the update.
Using these low prices to and trying to get to the next tier (just in case there is another dividend program Wink)

Couldn't stay up late enough last night to get my miners moved back over to Saffron, but did first thing this morning.  I had left one small miner working in hopes of it helping with the issues after the hardfork.

No surprise, but great job getting through the minor hiccups with the hardfork!

I had to laugh at your apology for the one delay on the feature you guys are currently working on.  You guys have been fricken machines since you launched this coin.  I think we would all agree, we are happy to wait even a few days.  You all have certainly earned a break!

Thank you so much for all your hard work guys, REALLY!!

Amazing the way you guys handled this issue.

Yes LOLed at the apology as well. There are DEVs that have promised and missed dates by weeks if not months.

85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Cinni | PoS | First Coin With Private Encrypted Messaging | No premine on: August 05, 2014, 05:08:17 AM
The fact that there is a DEV actively working on stuff should put this coin back around atleast 7-8K (also considering the existing features)
But then again this is the crazy altcoin world Smiley
86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Cinni | PoS | First Coin With Private Encrypted Messaging | No premine on: August 05, 2014, 03:33:25 AM

I think setting limits on the splitting of inputs or adding a min requirement for stake would be helpful.  its the fractional/dust stakes that are causing the slowdown and stalling in wallets and build up in wallets that have been staking for a long time.  these wallets then also cause alot of ophans to appear and bloat the wallet.dat if coinage is accumulated on that and the wallet not opened for a few weeks, they cause high CPU usage and orphans as they all try to stake at the same time, the ones that do stake compound the problem as they will split further.  The idea behind splitting is to build network support but there needs to balance limits set.  Blackcoin has the right method i think, no maximum coinage and inputs will split once from their initial transfer to an address.
Cinni should rmeove the maximum coinage/weight and make it unlimited to reduce the threat of an attack on blockchain.  With removal of the max age, there is no risk of a malicious holder building up coinage on thousands of inputs and attempting to disrupt or attack the blockchain.

Anon transfers are pointless if these critical issues are not fixed first.

Crypto-Trade recently mentioned about the CPU problems that Cinni and a few others coins where the dev has not fixed this problem, maybe because they are not aware of it or dont know how.
About recent CINNI/UTC issues:

We think we have finally found the bug that leads to a CPU consumption of 100% and prevents (or let's say extremely slows down) UTC and CINNI transfers to/from CT: it's a phenomenom called PoS dust, mentioned by David Latapie in his "How PoS works" article, which can be found here:

Third: Compounded interest
Leaving a wallet open 24/7 costs more electricity (and CPU power, more on this later) but also make you benefit more from compounded interest (interests adding to capital so that next time capital to base interest upon will be bigger - in a bank, you compound your interest once an year, in crypto, at the end of each period, so every twenty days for Mintcoin). If you received all of your coins in just one big transaction, you could just stick to open wallet at every stake period and this is it. You receive your coins, and they count for the next stake. But if you received them in several parts (99% of users) there are end-of-period occuring a lot and so opportunity for compounding interests occuring a lot (in other words, "it's every day twenty days"). By just opening you wallet every 20 days, you are actually losing compounded interest. Notice that with compounded interest, you should achieve more than 20% interest on Mintcoin (at the cost of electricity, though and less CPU-mining power, though). It is not worth it if you don't have a lot of coin (except if you don't pay for your electricity).
Beware though: the multiplication of the end-of-period generates "dust", something similar to fragmentation on a disk. This won't increase the size of your wallet, but it will require more CPU power. You may end up with 100% CPU usage. Raspberry or VPS are ways to mitigate this. Another way is to resort to "spring cleaning": every once in a while, you move all your coin to another wallet; you sacrifice every coin age to get back to a normal level of CPU usage. Heartbreaking.

+100000

The "Coin Dust" issue needs to be addressed sooner than later.

My wallet became completely unusable and I spent multiple days trying to pain stakingly send them to another address. It took me many days and a some CINNI in transaction fees. Sooner or later it is going to be an issue for others as well.

We just did something really cool.

I'm not going to say anything, but I wanted to mark the moment. Smiley

@BlocktechGroup

i hope it's Naut related
i'm being to hopeful ha? but i think we waited long enough

It's gotta be something to do with either NAUT or RZR
I hope it's NAUT for obvious reasons Wink

I saw that tweet in my feed and I was very excited Smiley

BK can you please make sure the following 2 features are available in the new wallet from Day #1:

  1. Coin Control
  2. Unlock for Minting only

These are features any serious POS coin MUST have. So I guess this isn't asking for too much.

Thanks !

where's our PoS timeline update from Blocktech?  Grin

It will be announced ""today"" Wink

By the way, BK - do you feel comfortable sharing the timetable that Blocktech has given you (if they have!) on the latest updates? I know you said you don't want to give specific dates, but would be fun to hear how things are progressing Smiley

Also I was wondering (obviously given the benefit of hindsight), would it have been better to implement POS on a brand new blockchain and just move the coins over. Might have been done by now.

Edit: By move I meant swap Smiley

I'll be back home tomorrow and I'll start working on a wallet update ASAP Smiley

I am waiting for the Mac version to try the new wallet. Hopefully you'll have time to work on it Smiley

<<< FUD about DIRAC buyback in Bryce's NAUT wallet >>>

Here is the transaction showing that it was in his change address:

He posted on twitter he is temporarily moving it to Bittrex and back. (https://twitter.com/BryceWeiner/status/492789128552263681)
So I checked the single most reliable source of truth "The BlockChain", and ofcourse the 25K NAUT was still in that wallet.

Now that, that's behind us let's move on with NAUT POS Smiley

PoS Update

I have asked Blocktech to take over the PoS implementation.  They have a strong team who can execute my original vision of a dynamic PoS.  As well, they are visible and accessible.

It is my view, that this change will dramatically improve NAUT.

-BK

Very good move.
Would it make sense to make use of BC's POS v2.0 implementation for NAUT. I am not an expert, but I it apparently addresses security vulnerabilities in a pure POS coin.

Also rat4 believes in keeping the QT wallet plain vanilla, without bloating it with features. Which means NAUT can take advantage of POS updates to BC post 2.0.
Just something to think about.
Bryce posted on Twitter that he has a beta version of 2.0  to play with and that he's very impressed. He also said that they'll look at adding the final thing if the timing is right. My guess is that they want to get it out as soon as possible, and it depends on when Blackcoin is done with the update.

Sounds good.
BTW BC's POS v2.0 wallets are already available. It's supposed to kick-in at Block 319000 (sorry I don't know when exactly it is, believe it's very soon)

Feel free to dump anytime, plenty of people will catch your cheap coins.

Now that I've calmed down I'm going to try to resist that urge.  Note I don't think Bryce Weiner is stupid or incapable.  I think he has talent but the biggest problem with Bryce Weiner is Bryce Weiner and his post here illustrates the point.  Some people are immediately turned off anything that involves him and you can see that with any of the coins he has worked on.  I hope this time it's different particularly if someone else at blocktech can deal with PR rather than Bryce.
I like Bryce, but I can see why some people don't. I'd invite you to look at it like this though; this isn't Bryces coin, BK will do all the PR and whatnot. Therefore the only thing that's really important is if Bryce, and the rest of Blocktech, are good devs or not. I think even their biggest detractors will have to (grudgingly!) agree that they are.

That's why I'm still in.  My main problem with Bryce is that he scares people away.  I don't personally care what he's like because I'm not trying to be his friend - lol, but unfortunately these days PR seems to be even more important than the product itself these days.

I like Bryce too. If you are concerned about Bryce scaring people away, my response would be that this coin is still very much going to be BK's coin. It's just great to have a resource like Bryce helping out. Welcome Bryce Smiley

I appreciate all those who have stayed positive on this thread.

97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FlutterCoin FLT Proof Of Transaction Cash Back for Sending & Recieving on: July 22, 2014, 03:00:34 AM
@Fred and Newra

At this moment, we have a wise guy handling the fork (Ofeefee), and yesterday a solid dev jumped in to help.  We have few outside devs chatting with us about options - but still, we don't have a full time senior dev.

But we have A LOT of dedicated persons working on many things (window wallet, Linux, max, website, forum, investors, graphics and so), and many ones working on preparing the ground for future promotion activity (PR, video, graphics, relation with exchanges, etc).

You know, FLT got a hard hit with all this KidCoin - QTM affair, in top of fork issues.  We then had a LONG way to go - and still we just start the fun part.  What our guys are doing now is, in my opinion, amazing.  Except in some charity project I have been involved in my life, Ive never seen that much dedication in a common direction.  We all know what the target is, and every single effort aim in that direction.

I got in touch lately with some external very interesting persons lately.  Using my twitter account (@soltantgris), I reached 2-3 amazing women, and hopefully they will somewhat jump in later when we will show her how nice is our vision.  We just don't aim to be a successful currency used mainstream - we aim to be an example of how we can be both ethic and profitable.

Soooooooo....

So the good part of the game just begin !

We are now talking about our gameplan - roadmap.  This is a very important step - because our action will then be aligned on it, and investors will have a better idea of what to expect from FlutterCoin.  We also do hope to attract more devs (full time please!) with a clear gameplan and the obvious value of being backed by a powerful community.  No one want to work alone in the desert - and now, anyone jumping in with us know there is no more desert in Fluttercoin !

Sorry for the long post (ad sorry for my English) - but im enthousiast, and I realy want to share this enthousiasm Smiley

++++++++

Ah !  And yeah, changing maturity time and some reward is in the roadmap.  We agree 30 days is way too long.

Thanks soltantgris for the update.
Glad to hear about the progress and the plan to update the spec Smiley

Stop Client

Download - https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/107300/fluttercoin-v0.4.5.10.zip

Extract to your fluttercoin directory, or wherever you run the coin from

BACKUP wallet.dat in %appdata%\fluttercoin

Delete everything but wallet.dat

Create or edit fluttercoin.conf, enter the following:
rpcuser=x
rpcpassword=x
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
noirc=1
listen=1
dnsseed=1
