81  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: banks and if they allow buying bitcoin on: May 01, 2021, 02:25:13 PM
I just found out that my bank is against anyone of their customers buying bitcoin or bitcoin related things like hard wallets. I have heard it somewhere and would like to confirm or not the following. Of course when I tried to pay for a hard wallet with my credit card, it was declined by the bank.

Call your bank and ask them why your transaction was declined.
You tried to buy a hardware wallet, not cryptocurrencies, even if they are against crypto, they shouldn't block transactions for equipment.

I have heard that if you buy bitcoin through your bank by wire transfer, they have no way of knowing what you bought. Is this true?

What you have heard is wrong or you didn't understand it exactly. A wire transfer where exactly? If this is a wire transfer to a crypto exchange, of course they will know. But if this was a wire transfer to somebody else, and you bought P2P probably they will not know, as they will only have your money traced to the other guy's account. Depending on the amount, banks may ask questions or alert financial authorities though. There are AML procedures depending on where you live. In Europe, wire transfers of over 2,000 euro are being watched under the latest KYC/AML framework.

If it is can I rest assured that the bank will not find out I bought bitcoin this way? I live in Canada, does anyone know a bank that has not problems with you buying bitcoin?

I thought that Canada was pro-crypto, I don't know why your bank gives you problems. I suggest to just call the bank and ask them. I mean, you already had that transaction rejected by your bank, and if you want to avoid any interest in cryptocurrencies to your bank, you can't. So why not call them and ask them, this will clear all your questions.
It's not like you wanted to use Bitcoin for illegal activities. You already know everything is recorded and the blockchain is transparent.
82  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ultimately long time holders are enjoying the real BEAUTY! on: May 01, 2021, 01:01:49 PM
You have done great, some of us had different view on how things are and didn't invest in BNB but we got profit from other investments that we fully explored and trusted. If you are not greedy you won't wait for $1000 but be carefully planning how to take this profit. Anyway, you should be happy about that, it needs luck and often a very good judgement that with all the distractions may lead us to mistakes. I still don't support or expect BNB to be important in the long run. Not even Binance, which tries to expand at anything there is. The one thing that helped Binance above anything else is the Futures market.
While anything else can become worthless, the Future markets always seem to have too many in user base that matters in profitability.
83  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Looking for good projects on: May 01, 2021, 12:53:38 PM
Im still kind of new to the crypto market and am looking for some good crypto projects. Im looking for cheap coins with great fundamentals that can grow big.
I've heard stuff about coins like:
XRP
HBAR
ADA
DIVI

But im not sure which one to get
Looking for your opinions

What are the fundamentals, I'd like to know that. Their userbase? XRP has some kind of adoption and is used by some people, but nothing really has changed between the years. It was supposed to have been adopted by banks, but I don't see any developments for four years, just an endless shilling contest in social media.
You are even just using the exchange tickers for the projects meaning you have no idea what they are about.
HBAR is HEdera Hashgraph and while you may know that already, you still don't understand the importance of the full name. Hashgraph is a patented technology which is supposed to be better than the blockchain, however this is all theoritical and may not provide required decentralization.
ADA is Cardano and it is just a shill infested place. Most money go to marketing than to developments and while it is already 5 years we are waiting for Cardano, there is still nothing as a product.
I don't even know what this Divi is and you should explain why you selected it. I wonder what exactly are the fundamentals in any of these coins.
84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 90% chances if a coin is listed in Binance it has a good potential on: May 01, 2021, 12:33:21 PM
This is a very bad decision to just buy a token because it was listed on Binance. You should know that right now it's not the Binance effect that is helping with prices but the bull run. Binance was adding tokens during the bear market and they were crashing. As you can see, there is a boost in price, but this is artificial and in long term the coins will lose a lot of their worth.
85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any good recent bounty campaigns? on: May 01, 2021, 12:28:46 PM
What is more important is the bounty manager. A bounty may fail no matter the efforts made by potent bounty managers.
Others just don't care and have a very bad attitude too.
Those I recommend following and applying are honest bounty managers that care for those working for them.

I am recommeding to bounty hunters to always look for bounties from these managers and to cryptocurrency projects to hire them.
They will do a professional job unlike others that simply only care to pocket some cash fast.

And that's that. For me, right now, these are the top bounty managers and you should follow their campaigns. I am giving another chance to some more, but the outcome was not worth the time. Some were just plain stupid and paranoid, while others have no idea how to run a bounty. Some accept trolls and spammers instead of users that have proven they can promote projects and just randomly reject. I have also put a few in my ignore list, to avoid losing my time.
86  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: RUMOUR: Facebook will announce they hold #Bitcoin on: April 30, 2021, 07:36:33 PM
This was funny. Everyone can just say anything and there is nobody to judge them anymore. I'm tired of these stupidity in twitter and all social media. I just have twitter account for bounties and not even reading or posting anything else. I'm not sure who is actually using these mass stupidity social media, but I guess a tweet like that one was targetting investors of lower intelligence.
87  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Beware; Do not Fall for Phishing Sites, Do Not Be a Victim of Scams on: April 30, 2021, 03:29:21 PM
So the one you claim to be legit is really legit? I remember having read many negative reviews about coinmama.
Maybe the one with the .ru domain is a total scam, however I doubt the original one is what we can call legit.
Always do research when you are about to send your money to somewhere you don't know anything about.
88  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Elon Musk "Smart" Tweeting Continues! on: April 30, 2021, 03:25:41 PM
Posted 3 hours ago:

"The Dogefather
SNL May 8"

Really? When we were first using Dogecoin in 2013 this guy had no idea about it and now he calls himself the Dogefather just because he is rich and bought tons? It's all market manipulation folks, wake up! The only Dogefather is Jackson Palmer the guy who created the coin.

With his "smart" tweets he controls the price and newbies are falling into this trap! I don't know about you but I'm very disappointed. He's probably using Dogecoin to increase his BTC capital.

Remember, 98 addresses control > 67% of all Dogecoins. Dogecoin has become what it is, a joke coin.

I'm awfully disappointed with Elon Musk. What he is doing is unethical and even worse than what McAfee was doing. At least McAfee was more honest than Elon Musk. Sadly, this brings pump and dumps to a whole new level. Now, every celebrity can just buy any kind of shitcoin and shill it on Twitter. I am starting to have doubts about Musk's intelligence too, and how the media were portraying him as someone with high intelligence. Probably just got lucky enough being a meme and a clown. He doesn't inspire confidence in me and I wouldn't invest in anything he touches.
89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How many scammers have you funded by putting your money in? on: April 30, 2021, 03:20:45 PM
This is not an easy one to say. I have traded countless cryptocurrencies, I don't remember how many went to bottom and how many made it. I had to stop in 2018 as everything was looking very bad, and restarted again last year with altcoin trading. I have lost money to projects that were not exactly scams, or at least not having been accussed as that. But maybe when the founders dump their stack of dev tokens this is a scam too. I see the overall performance of my investment and have in mind that many of those may be scams, or shady with devs getting ready to dump.
90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Stay away from Vindax on: April 30, 2021, 03:16:34 PM
Another reason to avoid this exchange, I remember it from having listed too many shady coins and tokens, and from many users that had very bad experiences with it.
It has a bad reputation already, and this post just proves once again we need to stay away from shady exchanges.
We often see exchanges having very confusing rules. Sometimes they may not be scams, but usually when we see something making things difficult to the user, we need to be more careful.
91  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If Musk doesn't tweet Dogecoin, can it still soar? on: April 29, 2021, 09:51:36 AM
If no celebrity tweets about Doge again, it will pull back and become as worthless as it is in practical terms. This is the power of hype and fomo and there is nothing beyond that for Dogecoin.
Musk made some Dogecoin whales very wealthy, they sold and made billions from it and perhaps Musk now can call them and have tea or a drink together and discuss Doge memes and how to keep their pump and dumps on.
92  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: To keep coin long term on: April 29, 2021, 09:49:27 AM
My ask is what will be your advices about keeping a coin long term ? Which coin is worth for it?

Sadly you will find out soon that prices are inflated and maybe you will start having profit but eventually "coins" will draw back and reach prices they had before the pump. This will be the dump phase, and you should be getting ready to dump and not thinking about long term hodl. There are so many examples of investors losing their money having invested in what they thought was "top" projects with "strong" teams.
93  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How long can this BULL run last?? on: April 29, 2021, 09:44:10 AM
How long can this BULL run last??

Another two months maximum. We are soon reaching the state of concern.

These are the dates for Bitcoin lowest lows and highest highs during the previous 2 bull runs and the current one.

24/10/2011 - 25/11/2013 - 2 years one month
12/01/2015 - 11/12/2017 - 1 year eleven months
10/12/2018 - 29/4/2021  - 2 years four months

The last bear market when price was bottomed, it didn't stay too long, so the recovery started in 2018 lowest low.
I wanted to publish this as a new post, but don't want to take hate from holders. This are just dates though and you can find them on your own.

94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Hodl litecoin or exchange for ethereum? on: April 29, 2021, 09:39:24 AM
If you are asking for financial advice you will get the worse from others. Litecoin or Ethereum, who cares basically. Litecoin has done nothing lately and still managed to be priced so high. It doesn't mean anything to me. Meanwhile developments in Ethereum are constant and the network has a huge userbase. I don't think Litecoin is anywhere near the adoption levels of Ethereum.
95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Serious Question: Bitcoin Monetary Policy vs Dogecoin Monetary Policy on: April 28, 2021, 09:04:09 PM
You forget a few things, with first of all, Dogecoin has just a couple of people holding an overwhelming majority of the coins. Secondly, the network hashrate is very low and while I haven't done technical research, I am sure it won't be safe with prices we have today. A risk of 51% attack and reorg of blocks imo is too high. However, if I am wrong, I am willing to get all the heat of passionate Dogecoin supporters.
I don't follow Doge, as I don't see this coin to be able to survive. I'm sad however I didn't accumulate and disregarded the power of memes. And the power of Twitter shills like Musk.
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons to use ETH on: April 28, 2021, 08:18:29 PM
Fees are probably at the lowest point they can get. I managed to make a few transactions with 50 gwei and even lower, but it is rising again, and I don't know if any proposal will save Ethereum.
Sadly, this instability in fees creates vast problems that will become a burden for developments. Maybe some people don't care and value Ethereum at 200 billion but I don't and while the hype last, everyone is a hero.
There comes a time of realization again after the euphoria and maybe next time (third time) will be a charm.
97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are we all fools on believing the word "HOLD"? on: April 28, 2021, 08:10:22 PM

So top 10 of my portfolio consist of the following based on my blockfolio.

1) Atlant
2) Edgeless
3) Centra
4) Humaniq
5) Matchpool
6) Lunyr
7) KIN
8.) FUEL
9) SONM
10)NPXS

Please tell me if I should still expect I will be profitable or just give up now already.

Oh. So sad. What are those? I know only KIN and while I remember some of these names, these are all some obscure coins today. Maybe they were hyped early when you got them.
I know that this post is from 2019 too, and it is important to notice for any beginner that is building an altcoin portfolio.
While we have so many priced at billions of dollars market caps today, most probably they will end like all these.

There are some projects that are working, but probably just 1%. Like in the dot-com bubble way too many were just hyped and pointless.

98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exchange tokens all the way on: April 28, 2021, 07:52:15 PM
I have to say that I had a tip to buy the Wazirx token and I didn't. I only learned it went so high from your post and, I am still not going to bother. Did I miss a huge opportunity? Probably, was the risk involved too much? Probably. I should have bought though as I still make some investments. I just don't think that exchange coins are needed. Not even BNB is something that was required. We have it, Binance pumped it where it is, and what can I say, congratulations, I just don't see any reason for exchange tokens to exist.
99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Help! Stop loss on: April 27, 2021, 03:54:32 PM
Hi, I'm new to crypto trading and I'm trying to figure out how to set up stop losses for small cap alt coins when I use a decentralized exchange or when my coins are in my wallet. Do I use tradingview or another website or app for stop losses and when I get a notification swap coins or sell? I'm really confused. Can you only create stop losses on centralized exchanges? If the centralized exchange does not have the alt coins that I'm trading how do I create a stop loss for it? "ELI5"

What is this post all about. Makes no sense. I think that you shouldn't be trading at all if you can't understand which exchange has the tokens you want to trade.
Man, you are missing a lot from the basics, you need to start reading and observing.
If you want to find the exchanges a coin is traded on, look at coinmarketcap or coingecko, these indexes have everything, even the links.
However you want to trade small caps, this comes with a variety of dangers you should first learn.
100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what you worst experience on crypto on: April 27, 2021, 03:51:54 PM

so today i have massive experience so i know how to play the game. Lets share experiences so enrich newbies knowledge.

Cheers

You forgotten to tell us how exactly you plaid the game this time. Did you invest in scams? Did you avoided them? What did you do exactlly.
Your post is basically useless, you only tell us you lost money four years ago in detail, but very little about today.
