Bitcoin gets is value from a variety of things, one in particular is its network effects. There are number of altcoins that are technically superior but if nobody is using them (which they are not) they don't have value.

lol In one month or two, Russia will face a huge wave of defaults triggered by low oil price, hyper-inflation and depleting USD reserves. First will be their oil companies, then banks and finally the sovereign debts.
The contagion will drag at least the Euro zone.
I didn't think that anything serves as a better hedge than Gold and bitcoin.
CNBC interview yesterday also mentioned this point of view.
In this big picture, it is temping to use bitcoin not only as an investment tool but also as a hedge towards possible Russian debt crisis.
In history, many notorious Black Fridays were triggered by Russian. Just cannot ignore this risk.
bitcoin is the really one dying, better mind your own businessI am so honored by trollers like you, registering a new account just to bash me in red ink. Thanks indeed.

It's mildly amusing to hear that a "GAW Founder" would really need help from someone in Bitcoin forum. It sounds like he's trying to position Hash Talk as a superior forum for people who don't really know why PayCoin is a terrible idea. Most people here aren't rude; they're just honest.

Not necessarily. I think a lot of companies/exchanges are going to fade away this quarter. Even with the price tanking, a 10,000 BTC valued at $1 each would still be a very expensive pizza. Man, I'd wish I heard and got involved with Bitcoin in the early days. Everyone that jumped in 2013 and beyond is pretty much screwed...

What Altcoins would you want to see?

Nice work! Your converter doesn't have a header though.

Purse.io already beat Paycoin/PayBase to the Amazon integration, so I suspect Garza's trying to recapture a way to pay his Ferrari bill, before Paycoin completely fizzles out. On that note, is that guy still scheduled to bloviate at the BTC conference in Miami? GAW might be returning to its roots as a hardware reseller, I just got the first email yesterday offering Bitmain miners. Not a single mention of PayBase or Paycoin.... I think he realized that this is going to come crashing down around them and ruin the company, so back to plan A?
Yep got the same email. I think they will or should be selling them even cheaper due to being used AND BTC so low and little if any profit for now. But GAW should have stuck to what was working. I am sure they are also trying to raise capitol before the shit hits the fan with PAYwhatever coin. For all we know he is liquidating their assets for a pre-bankruptcy party. Of course, that is all conjecture since I have no evidence... +1 ...Most probably... ZiG

http://www.urbandictionary.com/add.phpWhat I do not understand, is if you have to scream SCAM from the mountaintops, why isn't that cry backed up by real evidence of wrongdoing, and not just presumed wrongdoing?
I never screamed scam, but I'm just failing to understand how repeated lies and poorly implemented or forgotten promises and other ongoing issues can't be considered wrong by some who have a lower threshold of tolerance for that kind of stuff? If it's not a scam but just a poorly managed business, is it really inconceivable that some people might have their trust in the "intent" affected by that? No it is not and I agree with you. But a lot of others have screamed scam. Josh (GAW) took people's money and promised to deliver a variety of things and did not deliver and kept the money.
This is the definition of a SCAM. Case closed.
You have been fucking Paycoined:
The question is, when are you going to come to grips with the simple fact that you have been taken for a fool, and secondly, perhaps more importantly, when are you going to stop helping this operation rip more people off?
