81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [AИN] NODE aka NXTLite - Puppet Removal has begun! on: July 08, 2014, 08:01:47 PM
It is a worse distribution because the shares of the developers are even bigger than before. It it already very big 40% of the supply and now Node team accuse people of sock puppets, take their shares away and put in their pocket.

They can't juste put those coins in their pocket. The coins have to be distributed to the investors in some way or another.
Remember their first Announcment of NXTL.

Quote
Completely Fair Distribution †
No arbitrary rule of distribution. No dictator to tell you how to do things. The most egalitarian coin. Show your love to NXTL.

Coin distribution plan:
- Member fund (60%) - The total amount of coins that will be divided between our founders.
- Promotion fund (15%) - For promoting NXTL, encourage people to participate (forums, sites, social, etc.)
- Development fund (15%) - for developers to perform functional and system support. We will implement all the best ideas, and make the system dev friendly!
- Good Idea fund (5%) - FOr Innovations, good ideas improving NXTL .
- Test fund (3%) - Versatile Test Coins, to get people to test the platform or as give-away.
- Target fund (2%) - Small budget that will cover unplanned goals.(Donation, member support, etc).
(Announcement can still be found Here )

60% will go to the investors. They can't just change that, as they said that there will be no dicatator who tells us how things are done.
I think the Devs won't let us down in any way. They seem to be good at what they do and certainly will improve further.

Wow, looks like more than 1/3rd of all accounts are sock puppets. That's a lot. Good for the rest of us. Maybe this means more coins for the rest of us Wink

CLARIFICATION: THE PENALTY is still on! Probably Skill misinterpreted something while i wasn't around! Anyway the coins from the penalty will remain undistributed! Meaning that the coins will remain untouched till we we'll find some good use to them, probably to fill or to cover existing funds!

If he doesn't understand he should not be posting. This only leads to confusion.
What do these coins help you, if the community turns the back to your coin. right. Nothing!
Distribute the remaining coins among your users. Give them a cookie and they will appreciate. That's what NEM is doing differently.
They care about their community. Or at least, it seems so. They keep up appearances.

Think about what is good for your community in first place. Then think about what fills your pockets. Community will be your marketers, as everyone is intered in a success. And as long as you haven't lauchend, investors are your community. If they feel betraied, they will dump the coin as soon as they get their stake, and the coin will be dead before it could lift off...

What you communicate to me is, that you are more interested in filling your pockets as quickly and with as many BTC as possible, more than you care about creating something for the long run. And this is a very bad feeling. You must communicate that you want to build something that lasts in the long run. That all your energy flows into this coins. That's what we - the community - want to hear and see by your actions.

Anyone who wants a general understanding of Node should visit the web site:

http://nodecoin.com/

Mobile view is broken.
White node font slips below the fixed header. YOu can use firefox and resize the window to experience the same issue.

We decided to give a chance until these accounts will be active
there are many people who were not very long in our forum
we will reserve them coins

Yes, i know. It says that 20 000 coins /per user are guaranteed no matter when they claim their stake. These coins were taken into account in my calculation. I was talking about the rest (173'962'789 nodecoins).Or are you saying that 10% daily penalty is no longer valid and every user that is late in creating their address will get their full stake once they ask for it ?
86  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [AИN] NODE aka NXTLite - Puppet Removal has began! on: July 01, 2014, 07:13:03 PM
Hi!
Those that forgot/missed/postponed, will be subjected to a 10% daily fee deduction calculated from the deadline!

The fee table: For reference today is Day3!

Total    447427          -10%
Day 1     402684        44742
Day 2     357941
Day 3     313199
Day 4     268456
Day 5     223713
Day 6     178970
Day 7     134228
Day 8     89485
Day 9     44742
Minimum
Guaranteed 20 000

If my Excel counted correctly, there are 407 users that didn't provide a valid Account Id. What will happen to those coins ?
If none of them provied an ID in time that makes another 173'962'789 coins that belong to nobody.
So if these were distributed among the remaining 934 users, everyone would get another 186'225 coins.

Please don't make it look like you are desperate and need every single BTC you can get. (Even if it is the case!) Make the coin a success and it's a win win situation for everyone.
If you do a good job, you will have much more than you can get by selling a few more stacks.

People are familiar with the Blockchain transaction screen - there is no point in making a new layout for it when Blockchain's is well known, recognizable and user-friendly.

Actually, very few people are familiar with blockchains. And the avarage person certainly is not familiar with blockchains.
All he wants to know is: Did I send money to the right place. Did the other person get my money. That's all I want to know.

Imagine you just heard of crypto and you wanted to give it a shot. Now you visit the node website and create your account.
This is the first thing you see. What would you think ?

technically inapt me:
Wooow Soooo many numbers. What are they all about ? This looks really complicated.

I must admit that I can not provide a better solution. I also don't qant to question that you did a good job.
I just want to share what an avarage person would think when he sees this.

If an avarage person "can't get it at first sight", he won't use it, as long as he doesn't have to.

Why do even old non tech savy people use touch phones now ? Because it is intuitive. Easy.
Crypto must be intuitive to be used by the masses... I wouldn't want to burden my users with the whole concept of blocks.
He is not interested in that.

Summary: Did I send money to the right place. Did the other person get my money. That's all I want to know.

You mean adding a line like this ?

hm... don't know.

Still too much clipart ?

Absolutely! too dark, sharp,.. don´t know why but reminds me of a banner in c&c or starcraft (it´s about 15 years ago so can´t remember Wink which game )

Yet I think it is a good starting point. You can soften edges... You can enlighten colors. That's no big deal!

Here some quick variations (with the same colors)

Also made an own design.

A small piece of NEWS

Good to see things are evolving. Yet 10 days is a short time for such a crucial event.
Losing all coins is bad. However if you are really interested in a coin, you will have an account by now.
94  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [SKY] Skycoin Launch Announcement on: June 16, 2014, 05:56:21 PM
Could smart contracts (if they already existed) solve the problem of issuing coins ?
So we didn't need to trust the dev to actually realease the coins in the way he said.
Rules are defined in the beginning and the contract handles the rest .
95  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [CRYPT] [CRY] CryptCoin ANON X11 PoW/PoS -- NO IPO/PREMINE on: June 05, 2014, 07:52:34 PM
I think it's a public templates.

Well maybe... But at least, they could have changed their contact details...
If they are that careless with their new webpage... I can't imagine much care for their coin ?

I may be wrong, and in fact they are focussing on the core functions...
But if you want to have a shiny appearance for investors, at least a simple google search shouldn't lessen investors ease...
96  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [CRYPT] [CRY] CryptCoin ANON X11 PoW/PoS -- NO IPO/PREMINE on: June 05, 2014, 07:32:21 PM
What's going on with http://cryptco.org/ ?
If you google their contact phone number, you get the following sites, all with the same design:

http://www.diplomaticqatar.com/
http://www.timeandfaith.com/
http://ibizawire.info/
http://lafayettecreatif.com/

I don't get it ? Are all those webpages designed by the same company, or have devs forgotten to remove contact info when copying the design ?
97  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [AИN] NODE aka NXTLite - Auction Ends June 9 - Your Last Chance to get a stake! on: June 05, 2014, 07:22:05 AM

I want to say that everyone who helps the community "Node", will be compensation from the fund "Promotion"

What's the distribution again ? I can't fin it on the first page. I mean:
How much is distributed to investors. How much to the devs, and how much for "promotion"-stuff

Thanks
98  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [AИN] NODE aka NXTL - Auction Ends June 9 on: June 03, 2014, 08:24:12 AM
To be more specific we need to pay the programmers! They made and will make everything! So salary is out of question!

Are you saying, that you are outsourcing the code work ? Are you paying external coders (freelancers) at this stage or is it your own team that needs to be paid ?

99  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [AИN] NODE aka NXTL - Auction Ends June 9 on: June 01, 2014, 01:19:20 PM
How is allowing more than one stake per person a fair distribution?

How will you spend the newly acquired BTC to finish the coin? You must have some idea, you specifically needed 3.5 BTC.

What evidence is there of a functional client? I saw numbers move around on a server that you control.

Call me a troll, but these are genuine concerns that have not been fully addressed. A cheeky 0.05 BTC is one thing, but now you want people to enter a bidding war, and it just looks like a cash grab.

Please convince me otherwise.

True concern. As long as this is running on one single server!
The functionality as is can be coded in less than 1 day. ( Suppssing there is no functional cryptocode in the background)
All we had to do is:
Create Webinterface - ( this one is not even a responsive design )
Create an account ID generator. Enter this data into a database and add an balance_amount to this entry.
Allowing people to make database queries and send money from one account to another ...

Hope there is more than meets the eye. Wink

There is not much testing going on at the moment ? Only few transactions/day even though 0 transaction fee.
How many transactions can be processed per second ? Any guess ?
