81  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Low Does Bitcoin's Price Need Get to Make People Stop Believing? on: May 07, 2015, 08:31:51 AM
Well as low as it can go whilst still being profitable for miners to keep on mining, that's how low before we're in trouble. Personally I don't mind the fluctuations currently as I see them as growing pains whilst bitcoin, but the biggest problem with this is to many outsiders it looks bad and that's why many are worried about getting involved or wondering why they should take the risk. My only hope is it wont always be this way but I'm unsure of that myself.

83  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Methods of growing your Bitcoin? on: May 07, 2015, 08:24:00 AM
OP since you are full member, i recommend you join sig campaigns, it's risk free, and make decent money per month.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=615953.0

The link above is the comparisons among all of signature campaigns. So you can choose the best one for you.

If you can post a lot, dadice is the best one for you, with a 0.009btc/post, you can earn 0.09btc for 100 posts, and bonus will be added if your posts are very constructive. You can earn loyal points and the points will be converted to btc when you have 100 points, so generally you can make 0.5btc+ for a month if you are a good poster(100 constructive posts per week). Grin

It's not entirely risk free especially if you make poor posts or spam as you'll likely get your account banned pretty quick or denied payment, but if you make quality posts I think a signature campaign is the by far the best and easiest way to get ahold of some bitcoins.

Hi! Cheesy

I recently created a thread asking for the best methods of gaining free Bitcoin.

Most popular results:
  • Signature Campaign (High Paying)
  • Faucets (Low Paying)
  • Trading (Variable)

Now, I'm asking a different question.
What are your best methods of growing Bitcoin.

Only refer to safe investments!

Thanks
you can invest into btctalk accounts, though it will be hard to make money, all other investments are just hyips
Yeah thats right. But a bitcointalk account that have a rank full member above and then you join that account in signature campaign so that you will earn or the money that you buy from that account can you take it back from that signature and also you have a profit.

Some people even farm accounts to sell on at a later date, but the market for them seems to be low at the moment so might not really be worth doing it as it takes 8 months I think to get a Senior account.
84  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Conflicts of Interest at the Bitcoin Foundation on: May 07, 2015, 08:16:36 AM
I've always said most of them have conflicts of interests because most of them have bitcoin-related companies they are trying to promote or get off the ground and this will influence their decision making and motives. These sorts of things are always infiltrated by people with their own agendas and business interests to promote and that's why I think the foundation is a bad thing, especially the way it is currently set up and with people being able to by their way in to it.
85  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Everyone who's going to hear about bitcoin has heard about it on: May 07, 2015, 08:12:45 AM
All the people in the Asian and African remittance markets haven't heard about it. All the people in the gambling industry haven't heard about it. All the people in the adult/sex industry haven't heard about it. Those are three huge industries that both merchants and consumers/users can benefit from bitcoin and there's many more. Bitcoin probably hasn't even reached more than a few percent of its true potential. It can easily go global so I disagree massively with this thread.
86  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Must Be Seen for Money Laundering Potential, Finma Says on: May 07, 2015, 08:11:51 AM
they still think that bitcoin is anonymous, and they disregard the comparison with cash everytime, which is even more dangerous

they should ban cash first before even attempting to restrict bicoin, if they were really coherent whit what they want

^^^ This.
Cash is completely anonymous.
Nobody knows if person A made a deal with Person B that is to be paid in cash.
But if person A made a deal with person B which is to be paid in Bitcoins, it will be seen on the block chain, then everybody will know.

You're skewing the facts here to suit your argument. You can just as easily say bitcoin is anonymous too because you don't really know who sent it. I have just sent a bitcoin payment across the world to some terrorists. Please show me the transaction and my name. It would be difficult for me to transfer cash to them without leaving a paper trail or exposing my identity.
87  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which city do you think can be the global bitcoin hub in the future? on: May 07, 2015, 07:59:17 AM
Nice, another Bitcoin hub thread.
Wasn't there one the other day asking if London will be the Bitcoin hub?

Is it really that important that Bitcoin has a hub, therefor a central location?

Yes there was: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1039267.0

I'll reiterate what I said in there:

I don't get why people are so concerned with making certain cities bitcoin 'hubs' or 'capitals'. Isn't the biggest thing about bitcoin it being decentralized and essentially boderless? We don't need any central places so lets concentrate on spreading adoption far and wide rather than trying to get clusters in cities.

How much you earn using this faucets? How many hours it consume?

It consumes a lot of time and the general consensus is that you'll be wasting it by trying to get money out of faucets.

How much you earn using this faucets? How many hours it consume?

i got 0.000105 btc after finishing the faucets at xapor.tk
it has 10 faucets, i didnt pay attention to the time cause i enjoyed using faucets on my spare time

but i havent tried to finish the 349 faucets in fboxr.tk
maybe its bigger than the xapo faucets

You'd get more than that with signature campaigns and at least you can contribute something without feeling like you're wasting your time.
89  Economy / Digital goods / Re: wtb hero member on: May 06, 2015, 02:06:34 PM
That means they are just wasting their time create hero account and then sell it to people for a cheap price. Why are they doing that? Many people will think that this is like a scam account or may be got banned before or any other thing might happened to this account

Not everyone creates accounts to sell at a later date. If you've got a spare Hero account or don't really need it any more 0.45 is still a decent amount merely for a forum account but I agree it seems silly to sell so low and the account is worth much more but sometimes people just need money or want a quick sale.

92  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin as a Retirement Account on: May 06, 2015, 01:25:25 PM
Sounds like a terrible idea unless you diversify.

This is not a terrible idea because everyone in this world need retirement fund so they can live happily and one more thing that I can add is bitcoin always make a new variation and people nowadays are start to use it as a new kind of payment in this era of technology

Assuming everyone needs a retirement fund to be happy (which is something I disagree with), wouldn't it be a terrible idea to only have Bitcoin in that said fund?

What if all my savings are exclusively BTC (i.e no diversification) and they turn out to be worthless in 10, 20 or 40 years, how am I suppose to live happily?

Everyone needs a retirement fund because what the hell are you going to live on once you retire if you have nothing to pay the bills with or your rent? Using the word happy may have confused you but you certainly need a fund to be comfortable or to survive at least and if you don't have one you certainly wont be happy starving on the streets.
93  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin value in the next future 50 years- rubbish or global currency? on: May 06, 2015, 01:23:02 PM
i think crypo currencies is the future, but they will coexsist with fiat

I think bitcoin will grow steadily over the next few years and it will have it's biggest use with industries like gambling and the remittance market, but I agree it will always be used alongside fiat. I'd really love it to become some sort of alternative worldwide currency that you can use around the world. I see that as a big benefit of it and gives the average traveler the ability to save money on fees and not have to convert their national fiat into local currency all the time.
94  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-05-05] Nestmann - Will Central Banks Abolish Cash? on: May 06, 2015, 01:19:43 PM
I don't think they will abolish it any time soon. Cash still has it's benefits (cash is king as they say), but I certainly think it'll be fased out over time naturally - after all most payments made these days are done with plastic as opposed to cash and the number of these transactions will continue to grow. Hopefully bitcoin will as well but I don't think it'll ever overtake fiat or cash.

Didn't Brock Pierce try to do something like a Bitcoin city/center or whatever.
And there have been several threads talking about a Bitcoin Island.

I still don't get why though.
Whar is the need for these things?
Can't Bitcoin just be global?
Bitcoin is global, decentralized and borderless. But people need something like bitcoin embassy - they need a physical and existing symbol of Bitcoin. Not just code over the internet.
If we want for bitcoin to success we need to establish some places like that.  Mainly for promotional purpose, just for people to see that bitcoin is not a concept and is quite real.

I don't think we do at all. In fact, I think bitcoin is better off without centralized entities like this and the Bitcoin Foundation. They just seem to confuse most people as they think they have some authority or control over bitcoin when in fact they don't.

Hi. Serious question. I'm new to this forums and new to a few coins I'm looking into, but not new to bitcoin. Any time I make posts or comments, someone always has something really pessimistic or rude or judgmental to say. Just doesn't seem friendly to new people or those who think outside the box. How come? Roll Eyes

Unfortunately, you are right.
It seems that anonymity in the virtual world gives people the courage to do what they otherwise would never do in the real world.
The only way to keep this forum a friendly place are increased activity of admins and banning users who do not comply to the forum.

People are banned for breaking forum rules but being mean or saying something someone doesn't like aren't against the rules and the staff have better things to do than remove posts from people who just disagree or don't get along. It would take a lot of time and effort from them so they don't get involved with users business mostly which is a good thing and that's why scams aren't moderated by staff here either.

I think this forum isn't really any different from most other forums or even the internet in general. I guess everyone becomes more comfortable to argue or post their opinions when they're behind a computer but I think people may get more aggressive or passionate here because money is involved so when people have money on the line they can get quite quarrelsome. There's also a lot of trolls and fudsters so you've got to be weary of them. I'd just learn to accept or ignore it if I was you otherwise I doubt you will last long here.
100  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: In 2015, faucets are bad for bitcoin on: April 13, 2015, 12:02:11 PM
No, faucets wont disappears in 2015. Faucets are used as a way to test Bitcoin for newcommers, because of such low payouts faucets cannot be abused from someone to get easy income from. It is just enought to get familiar with Bitcoin

People abuse faucets all the time by using multiple bots on multiple connections on multiple sites trying to milk them for all they're worth.

or even better joining a signature campaign here

Given the recent controversy about signature campaign spam, I don't think joining one is “even better” at all.

Well I guess that depends on the quality of their posts. Obviously it's bad if they spam crap but if they do they'll get banned pretty quickly so it's in a users best interests to make quality posts. Either way using a faucet or spamming crap you're still wasting your time.
