yeah it would be nice if cryptsy kept their stuff together a lot better, but they still do good volume on lots of coins so hopefully they'll do better... last week I had to wait for over 50 confirms on a btc deposit, then the other day it was back to normal.
I haven't been able to sync my AC wallet for awhile and have been meaning to ask if there was an update I missed or nodes I could add?
I'm using wallet v2.0.1.0
couple of days ago syncing error from Micryon wallet was repaired https://sourceforge.net/projects/asiacoin/files/25.05.2015%20syncing%20bug%20fixed/before latest version (2.1.2.0) - easy syncing was nearly impossible, had to use recent blockchain or switch internet out/in couple of times restarted the wallet from scratch (saving .dat of course) having to restart it a bunch to keep it sync'ing... any chance of a bootstrap download somewhere? wallet dl on the OP still isn't updated, when it does you guys should add a link for a recent bootstrap (updated at least once a month) I don't think a website is as important as an regularly updated ann page ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) but of course a current website would be awesome blockchain at block 547635 link : https://sourceforge.net/projects/asiacoin/files/blockchain/for easy start and syncing of Asiacoin client, put in C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Asiacoin only five files 1.asiacoin-qt.exe 2.blk0001.dat 3.blkindex.dat 4.peers.dat 5.wallet.dat

To survive among big number of altcoins, Asiacoins needs a website with a basic info. Official website thecoin.asia ceased to update links in Autumn 2014 (almost all links are dead) and last post (devoid of any meaningful info) from January. Recently on this thread user OrIN actively and intentionally refused to update this site as to provide live links. As to me, feels logic of OrIN is flawless as follows: 1.Emperor of Asiacoin must be Chinese (because of Asiacoin name - obviously this is logical assumption) 2.Emperor of Asiacoin must be OrIN (because there are no more Chinese candidates - all other Chinese members of cryptic Asiacoin Foundation disappeared from cyberspace long time ago without any warnings and without leaving any contacts) 3.Everybody must be obedient to Emperor (absolutely logical)
But, leaving joking, Asiacoin really need some website in order to survive.
Preferably providing content for a website should be done by a team of community members.
There are several available website addresses relevant to Asiacoin (strangely quite a number of links with Asiacoin in page URL are occupied and paid for). Recently have booked URL's asiacoin.cc and asiacoin.info
very seriously thinking of creating a short informative website on one of these addresses (or another address) if anybody could take part in content creation for this website, please reply

as to Cryptsy update/maintenance just counted monthly number of tweets at : https://twitter.com/CryptsyWalletsMarch 3 days only ( twitter link started March 29 ) : 6 tweets April : 26 tweets May : 9 tweets today - number of frozen coins ( update + maintenance + network problems ) = 34 ( as high as always been ) at least one altcoin with relatively big name is longer on ''update'' than Asiacoin : Bitshares PTS ( some time ago Bitshares PTS had market cap 30 million USD but now has market cap only 226.000 USD ) number of ''unfrozen'' coins in last 14 days ( this number taken from tweets ) : 4 coins ( out of 35 average number on maintenance ) quite strange numbers

received good news from Comkort
Good day. Asia coin has been already installed yesterday. We will add it today.

I just renewed the domain today. Sorry for the few hours of downtime.
may we ask to renew if possible or delete dead links on thecoin.asia it is very important at this moment website could be reviewed by Cryptsy in any delisting procedure website for sure will be reviewed by any other exchange in listing/vote request specifically: http://www.thecoin.asia/ - links to wallets does not point to any working wallet - links to ''current source code ( work in progress ) '' and ''source code v2.0'' have not much meaning - at the page bottom is link to https://github.com/micryon/asiacoin-bc . not sure how much meaning in this link such old github links might be put somewhere in ''history'' page anyway if someone wants to follow on github can find these links easily on http://www.thecoin.asia/faq/again link to old github on http://www.thecoin.asia/get-asiacoin/links to c-cex and coin-swap exchanges ( coin-swap closed ) and link to Crypto Arrow AsiaCoin Faucet ( also dead ) these wrong links on Asiacoin website, easy to correct in minutes, could heavily influence Cryptsy possible delisting or looking for new exchanges similar story for https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=595999.0dead links, could seriously influence anyone reviewing for listing/delisting Sure, I can update the links but tell me which is the right link? I do not feel comfortable linking to an user known as 'asiacoin'. Either create another account on GitHub and fork the project. No one, in my humble opinion, should be represented as a single author. As for Cryptsy closing, if the biggest exchange is closing, I don't think things will go well for all altcoins. Please consider what you are advocating carefully. github.com/Asiacoin is completely Open Source anybody can copy and use at his discretion can be copied or merged to github.com/Micryon anytime without asking any questions also sourceforge - Open Source

at Comkort exchange Asiacoin has made a success, adding 42.545 votes yesterday - clear win
our community has shown power
have screen shot with this result 21 hours ago
now Comkort started play games
on comkort.com/vote now
Starting 19/05/15 we shall no longer accept votes for coins. No coins will be added to the exchange based on voting results. Coins with sponsored votes , will be reconsidered based on: community’s activeness, amount of contribution, presence of JSON RPC API. Lack of one or more of the above requirements could result in coin removal.
if anybody has ideas how to put some pressure on comkort, please to submit
at least opening some tickets
maybe opening some thread in Bitcointalk as to comkort behavior?

have sent ticket to comkort today coin voting 1 place plncoin has made over 10.000 votes but bitcoin address for plncoin https://blockchain.info/address/1B1bXpJCMMxhqU99GJKAGDqNrEDvWzLgnc shows no inputs it is absolutely impossible for plncoin to have 10.000 voting users today
before in this post https://comkort.com/blog/news/vote_rules_update it was said
Dear users, From Monday we will disable voting for guests and users without trading history. We will review votes for new coins and if they were using bots – we will reduce their votes.
really - it is absolutely impossible for plncoin to have over 10.000 voting members today please to do something on this subjectquite fast despite sunday evening got reply Thank you for report. Comkort is going to stop coin voting these days and add several coins from voting list. More information will be published during these days too. I will keep you updated.

some pages before Enthef420 confirmed he has succesfully added Asiacoin to comkort vote
now Asiacoin is close to winning this round of votes : has 24770 votes and a coin on 2nd place has 22735 votes
unfortunately this 2nd coin is increasing votes each hour
voting round ends less than in one day
every 0.01 btc counts as 200 votes
we need bigger lead over 2nd coin than 2000 votes to be sure to win this voting round
comkort is a small exchange but feels solid, does not feel as closing anytime soon
comkort has markets for several big name coins too
if possible, please to add votes

meanwhile cryptsy crashed more than hour ago it could be soft failure or some small or big hack we will see
started to check cryptsy volumes from last months for instance Dec, 29 - btc volume shown as 2255 btc ( + some small volume on ltc and xrp ) Jan, 02 - vol 2053 Jan, 13- vol 2096 Mar, 19 - vol 1644 Apr, 14 - vol 661 today - vol shown as 360 ( similar low volume shown was all last days )
if anybody interested - can post screens
seems as world is falling upside down for cryptsy
my interpretation : after paycoin scam , which dwarfed all other scams in altcoins ever by orders of magnitude, and cryptsy failed to protect and warn investors - investors turned off from cryptsy, and possibly from altcoins altogether.
by the way, some smaller exchanges refused to trade paycoin, claiming this is a scam

as to github links - your previous links : do you know who actually was Micryon ?
did we knew his name or location or phone number? or any references?
if you knew such info - why it was not disclosed publicly?
why ''Micryon"" ( as for me-totally anonymous ) as developer you approve, and ''asiacoin'' as developer not?
actually, there is a number of coins where developer is known by his name, but number of coins where developer is known only by his bitcointalk name is much, much bigger
actually, what specifically kind of information / action you want from 'asiacoin' to remove dead github links?
actually, what kind of information you was getting from anonymous ''Micryon'' developer - who afterwards abandoned Asiacoin without much explanation
could you specify precisely what action/information you need from current real developer of real and working wallets - suppose this action/information you was getting from anonymous ''Micryon'' developer?
edit: do you have any contact with ''Micryon'' now ? his bitcointalk last activity was on August 21, 2014. Actually quite strange for a developer who - you said - is reputable. Anybody knows whereabouts of ''Micryon'' now ?
as for bitcointalk - ''Micryon'' is a dead person now. defending his work from 2014 is really strange, as we cannot contact him, cannot ask his opinion and so on
edit : also on github ''Micryon'' is a dead person. last activity as developer - around august, 2014

we can make more work on a wallets within few days as:
1.could release new Mac wallet without 525599 bug
2.could release new optional Windows wallet with more modern features -Tor menu ( easy, popular and proven/stable way of making transactions confidential ) -Alerts : Alerts are a handy feature to ensure that all network nodes are notified on software updates and important notes from the developers ( to avoid 0.7.2 wallets on the network and so on )
it is not really best time to release new wallets when cryptsy freezes Asiacoin for unknown reason, and does not respond for inquiries, but developers now have free time and can work on
please to post any comments as to releasing new version now
any idea would be appreciated

actually lot of these exchanges might have serious problems overinvested last year Mintpal was having daily volume around 10.000 btc now Cryptsy shows around 400-500 btc not long ago cryptsy regularly was showing over 1000 btc daily volume
we must brace for more exchange closings
Cryptsy might start delisting some coins if this would reduce costs for them
at some point altcoins might became real p2p coins
must think of some p2p altcoin exchanges as localbitcoins and bitcoin-otc

now Asiacoin has more problems because of Cryptsy freezing.
anyone with Asiacoin holding should put pressure on Cryptsy by creating support ticket at Cryptsy and following that ticket
If getting any response from Cryptsy, please to post in this thread
for everyone holding Asiacoin - this Cryptsy freeze is a real threat to value and even existence of Asiacoin and it is serious : must act now
at other exchange - Bter.com - are some possibly problems
