Dear Sir,
We received the update message earlier . However we have a question about the address provided for the update .

Would you please inform us why the address for the github was different?

The thread said it was:
https://github.com/micryon/asiacoin-bchttps://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=595999.0)

while the git said it was : github.com/asiacoin ?

in case user OriN who is only one contactable user who has passwords to page https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=595999.0
would update this page ( this page seems as not updated since around 12 months ) , bter would update Asiacoin without problems

i am in talks with rockytrade.net a smaller exchange who likes niche altcoins.
they "may" consider adding asiacoin.

apart from that,
i could provide a translation of the ANN for asiacoin into:

- german
- japanese
- korean

please let me know if this has been done already or if there is demand for it.
if so, let me know your bounty system and how much is in the pot for translations.

cheers!

at Comkort exchange Asiacoin has made a success, adding 42.545 votes yesterday - clear win

our community has shown power

have screen shot with this result 21 hours ago

now Comkort started play games

on comkort.com/vote now

Starting 19/05/15 we shall no longer accept votes for coins. No coins will be added to the exchange based on voting results.
Coins with sponsored votes , will be reconsidered based on: community’s activeness, amount of contribution, presence of JSON RPC API. Lack of one or more of the above requirements could result in coin removal.

if anybody has ideas how to put some pressure on comkort, please to submit

at least opening some tickets

maybe opening some thread in Bitcointalk as to comkort behavior?

I just renewed the domain today. Sorry for the few hours of downtime.

may we ask to renew if possible or delete dead links on thecoin.asia

it is very important at this moment

website could be reviewed by Cryptsy in any delisting procedure

website for sure will be reviewed by any other exchange in listing/vote request

specifically:
http://www.thecoin.asia/
 - links to wallets does not point to any working wallet
 - links to ''current source code ( work in progress ) '' and ''source code v2.0'' have not much meaning
 - at the page bottom is link to https://github.com/micryon/asiacoin-bc . not sure how much meaning in this link

such old github links might be put somewhere in ''history'' page
anyway if someone wants to follow on github can find these links easily

on
http://www.thecoin.asia/faq/
again link to old github

on
http://www.thecoin.asia/get-asiacoin/
links to c-cex and coin-swap exchanges  ( coin-swap closed )
and
link to Crypto Arrow AsiaCoin Faucet ( also dead )

these wrong links on Asiacoin website, easy to correct in minutes, could heavily influence Cryptsy possible delisting or looking for new exchanges

similar story for https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=595999.0
dead links, could seriously influence anyone reviewing for listing/delisting

Sure, I can update the links but tell me which is the right link? I do not feel comfortable linking to an user known as 'asiacoin'. Either create another account on GitHub and fork the project. No one, in my humble opinion, should be represented as a single author.

As for Cryptsy closing, if the biggest exchange is closing, I don't think things will go well for all altcoins. Please consider what you are advocating carefully.

github.com/Asiacoin is completely Open Source

anybody can copy and use at his discretion

can be copied or merged to github.com/Micryon anytime without asking any questions

also sourceforge - Open Source

to be exact , this link which bter.com has https://github.com/micryon/asiacoin-bc
is erroneous and always has been erroneous since almost a year

this link https://github.com/micryon/asiacoin-bc contains unfinished work of Micryon before his Bitcointalk and Github sudden death

correct source for old wallet version 2.0.0 is  https://github.com/micryon/AsiaCoinFix

we can merge/pull only to https://github.com/micryon/AsiaCoinFix

lot of coins getting pumped last days

for instance blackcoin pumped from around 6000 till 19000 in a few days

rumors of new powerful pump groups

still wondering : such short term pumps are good for long term health of coin, bad or neutral?

maybe someone has some insights

some gibberish I believe Wink

I think it really depends on how high they take them and how bad they dump when they're done playing, if a coin is  normally at 6k then pumps to 20k+ etc when they dump it leaves a wake of butt hurts that get suckered in making them feel scammed and then people start associating the coin as the "scam" (when really they just chose a bad entry point chasing pump/volume and get left with "the bag") so it can be bad. but of course theres good money to be made day trading and thats all a lot of people in alts are worried about high volume and decent volatility. if they stuck with a solid/innovative coin and did their game a lot slower over time then and maintained good volume then it could get a good coin noticed and that way there'd be long term money to be made trading and it would have time to build a strong enough community so when the group slowly exited the support would be happy their buy orders are getting filled.

I've had some really good days trading in high volume pumps and if I was a p'nd group and could keep that going  on a coin that people would believe (or even better IS) worth the attention  then I wouldn't see a need to dump the trading would be profitable enough for me... lol but I'm not greedy, and we know most of these groups and the people that follow their "waves" are driven by greed and don't have the patience to think about a long game like that when they can just dump and move on to the next coin. most seem to buy a new coin in it's first days then if it doesn't instantly pump with in a few days or a week they dump and say the coins dead or is a failure even when the dev seems to be working hard and has great plan/roadmap for their coin or if the dev/team is legit not hiding in anon land.

lol too many day traders and not enough investors in alts yet but I believe they will come with time and as btc becomes more and more well known, even tho btc's price is down it is getting mentioned on tv more and more, as people learn what it is (vast majority still don't understand it) the price jumps could be even more volatile and as most true btc believers think will stabilize at a much much higher price. the good/solid coins will rise vs fiat dollars while people will take fewer and fewer risks chasing flash pumps on newb coins in their first days, their btc will be too valuable to waste on the new coins that haven't proven themselves yet but the alts that have stood the test of time will look like solid investments.

as far as whether or not p'nd's are good or bad I think thats a matter of perspective and if you're a day trader just looking for volume to trade the there great (if you trade smart and get out with good timing) but most alts communities aren't "deep enough pools" for the kind of volume the groups dump, then when their gone volume drops like a rock and even more traders exit which leaves any community members that really believe in the coin a long road to recover and slowly climb the ranks again to find it's real floor.

my theory is hold what you feel has potential whether that is based on innovation or the legitimacy and longevity of devs/team. and trade where/when you see opportunity.

for new coins right now I like GPH, TEETH and SHELL as a good underdog and older coins like AC or MINT can do magic and have solid potential for long term growth as more and more people keep getting scammed by new/newb coins.

Cheers to the AC team and thanks for taking the time to read if you did  Grin

yeah it would be nice if cryptsy kept their stuff together a lot better, but they still do good volume on lots of coins so hopefully they'll do better... last week I had to wait for over 50 confirms on a btc deposit, then the other day it was back to normal.

I haven't been able to sync my AC wallet for awhile and have been meaning to ask if there was an update I missed or nodes I could add?

I'm using wallet v2.0.1.0

as to Cryptsy update/maintenance

just counted monthly number of tweets at : https://twitter.com/CryptsyWallets

March 3 days only ( twitter link started March 29 ) : 6 tweets

April : 26 tweets

May : 9 tweets

today - number of frozen coins ( update + maintenance + network problems ) = 34 ( as high as always been )

at least one altcoin with relatively big name is longer on ''update'' than Asiacoin : Bitshares PTS ( some time ago Bitshares PTS had market cap 30 million USD but now has market cap only 226.000 USD )

number of ''unfrozen'' coins in last 14 days ( this number taken from tweets ) : 4 coins ( out of 35 average number on maintenance )

quite strange numbers

couple of days ago syncing error from Micryon wallet was repaired

https://sourceforge.net/projects/asiacoin/files/25.05.2015%20syncing%20bug%20fixed/

before latest version (2.1.2.0) - easy syncing was nearly impossible, had to use recent blockchain or switch internet out/in couple of times
