81  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is NOT DEAD on: April 25, 2018, 03:34:24 AM
BTCBTCBTC
Bitcoin is not dead lol. The price is getting low but bitcoin will not die quickly we can recover it in somehow. Many people thought bitcoin is secretly dying I just wanted to say that its wrong Bitcoin will back soon to higher value.

BTCBTCBTC

The same exact thing happens everytime we experience a recession period.  People will start to feel hopeless and begin to say that bitcoin is dead and that it will never recover.  The reality of the situation is that bitcoin always recover and then goes on to beat the price record before the crash.  In my opinion, this trend will carry on for many years to come which could leave us with a very high bitcoin price in the future.
82  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How far can Bitcoin go? on: April 25, 2018, 03:32:40 AM
How far can Bitcoin go guys? If the the Market Cap currently is $219 000 000 000, can Bitcoin ever be worth $200 000 000 000 with this market cap?

I am just curious, is the Bitcoin (or any coin) price caped by the Market Cap? Or the finite number of fiat money in the world?
Can a coin be worth more than it's market cap or can the value of a coin be equal with it's market cap if it's intensively traded/used?

The bitcoin market cap does not dictate the price.  But if you are interested in where the price of bitcoin could go, I would say 50k-100k is not out of the question.  People never in a million years would have though bitcoin would have reached 1k.  But it did and then it hit 10k and then even 20k.  These prices would have been considered imaginary just a few years ago so there is no telling how high they can get a few years from now.
83  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Buying and Holding the only way? on: April 25, 2018, 03:30:36 AM
i tried to calculate how much would i make from bitcoin mining using an antminer s9, and i don't think it's worth it for me as the cost of electricity is high where i live, which is in the UK (it's 20 cents approx), i make like $300 profit a year. and obviously i can't use faucets as that will take years to get one bitcoin. so is the only way to even get any value from bitcoin is to buy it and hold it on for another few years? but it is a risky investment due to the price. or should i invest in new currencies that are cheap right now and have potential to grow to $4k a coin?  Huh

Buying and holding is probably the safest way if you look at the market trends over the past few years.  However, holding does not allow you the ability to increase your stack by riding the swings and there is still the question of when you should sell.  In my opinion a mixture of long term holding and cashing out in order to buy in lower should be practiced.
84  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: After a Bad Sell on: April 25, 2018, 03:28:35 AM
So this happened to me twice this week, first I sold Bitcoin Cash and the next day, it started booming and has not up considerably and still going strong, then I sold Golem and boom it goes too.

What do you do in such situations? When you finally sell for a small profit after a long wait but then you realize that you missed on big profit with you bad timing.
How do you deal with this? Any tips to minimize this or overcome after such bad timing decisions?

This how trading works, you can never predict the absolute top nor can you predict the absolute bottom.  In order to limit the damage from these kinds of situations you could only sell a portion of your coins at certain price points just in case they keep rising, or you could do partial buys if you think it could keep dropping.
85  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: TRAP or TREND? on: April 25, 2018, 03:27:01 AM
This is big trap bullish or uptrend for bull team. What do you thinking now?

Honestly, there is no way of telling and if someone says they know what it is then they are lying.  For all we know this could be another bull trap because crypto still has had massive gains over the course of the past two years so another crash is not out of the question.  However, this could also be a recovery because the sentiment seems to be good and prices are rising very fast.
86  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it time to buy some BTC? on: April 25, 2018, 03:25:27 AM
The market is Still Looking Dull Due To KOREA's Unclear Statement. Still Market is Going through that FUD.
BTC is so cheap now. Do you think it is time to buy some BTC?

I think as of now any reputable crypto is a good buy because the whole market is recovering.  However, i do have to agree that bitcoin would be the better buy because it usually leads the bull runs and, from what i've noticed, bitcoin has not risen as much as the other cryptos.  Other cryptos such as eth, ltc, and bch have had significant ratio gains which means that some of that money will have to flow back to btc at some point.
87  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you a full time trader or just part timer? on: April 25, 2018, 03:23:34 AM
I would say im definitely a part time trader because i only do trades over the course of either a few days or a few months.  Every time i've tried to day trade i've lost money and that was due to my inability to predict the fast changing trends as well as panicking when prices did not go my way.  For now i would say im going to stick to the longer term trades because they are safer.
88  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Start with Bitcoin or Ethereum on: April 25, 2018, 03:22:02 AM
I want to start  trading , should  i buy Bitcoin or Etheureum first ?

As a short term investment, I think either are fine because they both move with the market trend.  However, i the long term, i think ethereum has a much more promising future due the revolutionary technology that it provides.  No other altcoin allows people to create an application and then allow them to run it on a super computer comprised of all the miners on the network.  The ability to run these apps is where ether gets its value.
89  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Losses on: April 25, 2018, 03:19:18 AM
What do you guys think is a good approach to avoid losses when you trade?

Do you guys set a number before selling, for example, only trade when you have  -5% or a +15% ? Any guide?

In my opinion, the most profitable way to trade is to buy the dips and sell the highs.  Now the hard part is figuring out what is considered low and what is considered high but a good way of doing that is to look at the growth or drop in price over the last few months.  If the market experienced a massive drop over the course of a few months then it would be good to buy and vice versa.
90  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BITCOIN is for long term investment on: April 25, 2018, 03:16:26 AM
I think all cryptos that have had general success in the past few years are long term investments.  If someone were to buy bitcoin, litecoin or eth a few years ago they would have made insane returns at the peaks but for some reason everytime a crash happens people say its the end of crypto.   What people need to realize is that when crypto experiences a recession period, it always come back stronger with higher prices.
91  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are your rules for profit taking on: April 22, 2018, 02:53:56 PM
When do you withdraw funds? Do you sell into fiat or USDT? Im thinking something like this: After a 50% increase sell 20% into USDT, repeat. Reinvest in dips. When 100% increased sell 20% into fiat

I think the principle of taking out money after a certain percent gain is a very good idea.  Unfortunately, i did not follow this principle before the last crash and i ended up down more than 50% from my peak.  If i were to hold i would have increased my ethereum stack by nearly 5x which would have left me in a much better position than i am now.
92  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Day trade is more a lucky thing or skill on: April 22, 2018, 02:34:11 PM
I'm not sure if I have time to play with charts and trade a lot, like I have seen some youtubers doing.
They make you really believe that is more like a skill and if you are good at it, it works.
My friend told me that is just about how lucky you are, and not a skill.
So, should I stick with holding or playing day trade is a better option?

It's definitely a skill that needs to be learned but there is definitely a portion of unpredictability that is involved.  The skills needed for day trading are the ability to predict the lows and the highs throughout the day and to be patient when things do not go your way.  With that being said, that luck aspect does come in because prices can move in a completely unpredictable direction that could leave you stuck in a bad position.
93  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you Panic? on: April 21, 2018, 02:16:18 PM
Whether its bitcoin trading or altcoin trading, there is bound to come a time when your investment is getting dumped badly, and its panic time.
How do you panic? Does that really make you panic and do you take decisions that you actually regretted later? Or do you keep calm and HODL?
What makes you panic and how do you react to it?

I dont really panic anymore from massive price drops but i do sometimes fomo during a massive price rise.  The one feeling that i do get when the prices drop is thoughts running through my head that are like "not this again" and "well ima have to hold for the next 6 months now" but i never get the urge to sell at a loss because i know the prices could go back up any minute.
94  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What next? on: April 21, 2018, 02:10:37 PM
I got in at the all time high in Jan. lost half on most coins, and panic sold 2 weeks ago with portfolio underwater 40-50%; now all coins are coming back at least 20-30%;

What's done is done, can't go back time to change it...my question is what to do now? Even after the loss, still have some coins left and wondering what to do with them...

Just hold it and do nothing is not an option because cost basis is too high. Need to find the next ONT etc - Willing to consider anything including ICOs (either NEO-based ICOs or ether-based ICOs).

You made some very expensive mistakes so you should learn what you did wrong.  Your problem was that you fomo'd when there was hype and you panic sold when you though crypto was gonna die.  If i were you i could start over and start trading without thinking about your losses.  Just keep in mind the mistakes you did before.
95  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Sell ethereum or hold ? on: April 21, 2018, 01:56:23 PM
Now bitcoin and eth price is increasing. Is it right time to sell my eth as the price is a bit pump or I just hold it for further increase. Please give help me by giving your opinions.

As of yesterday or this very moment in time, i would sell ethereum for btc.  The reason for this is because ethereum has experienced huge growth ratio wise meaning that it has already had its bull run.  This means that people will begin to sell eth in order to buy other coins such as ltc and btc that have not experienced as many gains in price.
96  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT MARKET NOW on: April 21, 2018, 01:54:39 PM
now btc and btc grow up from bottom :btc 6800usd and eth 375 usd,do you think this is below limit and support line for eth and btc??btc pass line resistance 7200 and 7500 usd;eth pass line resistance 400 and 420 usd,btc increase more 10% and eth more 30% from bottom, liquidity seem higher normal days, everyone start buy more coin, the whole market grow up in suspect of evevryone? do you think trend down is stopped?trend recovery is avaible?i hope from now the market will strong grow up

I think were in a recovery phase but im hesitant to call it that because it could just be another bull trap that will bring us down even lower than we were before and for an even longer period.  For me to safely call this a recovery i think we would need to see $10k+ btc with altcoins rising proportionally as well.  Furthermore, i think if that happens we'll be on track back to 20k.
97  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: should i buy btc now or sell? on: April 19, 2018, 03:30:15 PM
hallo guys, i am new to trading btc. and days before the bitcoin gold fork, i was advice to sell my btc (which i did) because it was suspected to drop in price few days to come. But surprisingly, from then till this very moment, btc has been on a continuous rise. now btc is at $7000+ and we are getting close to the next fork in mid-nov. DO YOU GUYS ADVICE I BUY BACK BTC AT THIS CURRENT PRICE OR WAIT for a possible drop in price?

I think right now is a perfect to time to buy because the market is showing signs of recovery and bitcoin prices are not that high as of now.  I've noticed that altcoins are experiencing much larger gains that bitcoin so i predict that bitcoin will experience a bull run which will bring us past $9k in the very near future.
98  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: did you place all your funds into bitcoin? on: April 19, 2018, 03:26:33 PM
I am thinking .. to put all my money in bitcoin what do you think? is it a good way to grow my money? or it is risky or.. ?

As of now all of my investment money in placed into bitcoin.  This is honestly something i regret because ethereum and litecoin have had a big jump in the past few days while leaving bitcoin with nothing to show for.  I hope bitcoin can get a small bull run soon because im hate seeing how much im missing out on right now.
99  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do people actually buy coins with real life money? on: April 19, 2018, 03:24:57 PM
Now when BC is sky high and ETH also pretty high. DO people even give their real money for those currencies. I mean give 300$ for 1ETH or 6000$ for 1BC is too much for most people.
I mean how often do people buy crypto currency like ETH and BC

When i bought ethereum last year i bought it using USD.  I dont think the prices are too much because you dont have to buy a full coin.  You can buy very small fractions of a coin meaning investing in them should be accessible to everyone.  With that being said i dont think investing a small amount of money will get you anywhere so an invest might as well put in a decent amount of capital.
100  Economy / Exchanges / Re: HitBTC: Currency operations not available on: April 19, 2018, 03:16:50 AM
I've read Reddit threads where tons of people are complaining about the same thing. A big red "Currency operations not available" message when trying to withdraw from the exchange. I have even tried exchange my coins to ETH and still cannot withdraw.

After the EtherDelta hack and other reports of HitBTC problems I'm eager to get my assets off of HitBTC and onto a long-standing reputable exchange.

Unfortunately in order to sometimes own an altcoin early we need to temporarily trade on not so well-established exchanges.

Anyone having success withdrawing today?

Damn thats very unfortunate to hear.  I've heard many stories about things going wrong with hitbtc but i didnt expect this to happen.  I had like $200 worth of crypto on there so im assuming i wont be able to get that out now.  Thankfully it wasnt more because i would be screwed lol.
