Did you notice that all the "advantages of using VRC" that you are pointing out are actually "advantages of using BTC", except the stake interest, which is offered by some other 100 altcoins? Do you realize that your cards and the rest of the "artwork" ain´t even helpful as improvised toilet paper, just because you keep trying to distribute them online? PROTIP: Print and distribute them to real "regular Joes" and at least they will have some "food for thought" before cleaning their "average" asses with your moronic artwork, assuming they ever run out of toilet paper and the "artworks" are at hand, of course. Will you find a real job and stop pretending you have an idea of what marketing is about? Or at the very least, will you educate yourself and improve your english and marketing skills before attempting again to teach or market anything to english speakers with double digit IQs, AKA "average persons"? Newbie account talking shit, seen it before. If you have some better ideas about marketing we are all ears. Please educate the rest of us. If you have to attack someone for their English when it's not their primary language then not sure what world you live in since not everyone speaks English as good as yourself. Again, please submit your ideas and or artwork and we'll take it all into consideration. Keep up the good work amesterdamer as the rest of us appreciate the time and effort you are putting in. Not much news here lately.
But no wonder there is no news when the whole crypto market is in a bit of chaos. Probably Bitcoin will survive and consolidate terms of its presence in everyday life, but all these interesting experiments like Litecoin, Vericoin, Blackcoin, Viacoin, etc. will disappear and of course Supernet too. No usage for these aforementioned altcoins whatsoever (we discussed in this and other threads lengthy that slightly better functionalities like quicker transaction time, more attractive wallet, etc. mean no real advantage over Bitcoin), users can do fuck all with altcoins, therefore the altcoins must and will disappear. Sorry, I wish I could bring a better news for you my fellow vericoin bagholders :-))

Yeah they do accept Bitcoin but what if you only have VRC and no Bitcoin? Then you can pay with your VRC. That's what he was getting at.

I just installed the new one and it installed over the existing. Easy install, copied wallet.dat first to safe location though. |

Someone just found an exploit with the Raspberry Pi so if anyone is using one to stake Vericoin may have to take a look at this:
To test your own RPis enter the following into the command line:
env x='() { :;}; echo I am vulnerable!' bash -c "echo This is a Shellshock vulnerability test"
If you get the following output you are OK:
bash: warning: x: ignoring function definition attempt
bash: error importing function definition for `x'
This is a Shellshock vulnerability test
If you get the following output you are at RISK:
I am vulnerable!
This is a Shellshock vulnerability test
To fix the issue (if present)
Close down your wallet first (just to be safe) Then run:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
This will automatically fix the exploit - re-test using the above command and you should be fine

Hey guys just wanted to give an update. We have used this relativley low volume, low interest summer to really work on the backend, make strategic partnerships, build the infrastructure, and a build a new wallet UI, a new foundation. The new wallet is on the main branch of github if your on Linux, it's in its final form. We are making some minor formatting details universal across all operating systems and tweaking things here and there for optimal performance and experience, till it's just right. Then we will release final builds for the three OSes. Thanks for being there with us through thick and thin, it doesn't go unnoticed and is appreciated. After the release we will do a hangout and update everyone on the new stuff and goings on behind the scenes. I believe thin is behind us and I am excited about the future of VeriCoin and hope you are too!

Well I figured out my mining issue with veripool. Im really starting to get some good payouts so i threw 6MH more on the pool  Makes me want to invest in some cloud hashing perhaps. Using my BFL 7GHz which was almost going to be just a paperweight but useful for something at least. |

I don't believe both wallets can be run at the same time, could be wrong. I had tried the social wallet with the QT running and had an error last time. Been running just the QT since.
