Are there any trusted UK/European re-sellers selling small batches of this item or is everyone going direct?

I presume the answer is no for the time being?

86  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: August 21, 2014, 02:03:57 PM
hes selling hardware and mining. why not paying divs or yet, even if its not true or a mereley distraction, show the hashrate, ?

As much as I also want divs and a hashrate-meter... I believe information is held back to not disclose anything to the competition.

I understand where you are coming from with that, but I've recently lost a considerable amount of BTC believing this....

Sorry for your loss. I am in the same boat. But game is not over yet. Wink

Definitely not  Grin
Back to square one!!

I recommend you to to write a dedicated post for your tool, I think it deserves it!

I agree it is a fantastic piece of work!

Thanks a lot!!! (or thank the alot if you prefer)

It doesn't get a lot of attention (which is just fine), so I'm not sure about it's own thread... but if I do, do you think I should start it in the Tech Support forum? That seems like the right place to me.

As there's no real Wallet sub-forum, I think Tech Support is the perfect place to be honest.
When/If you do, please don't be shy about putting your "donation" address in the first post as people like yourself deserve payment (no matter how small) for the effort you've put into your projects and assiting the community Cheesy

Btcrecover seems the very best password recovery tool, the tool set is impressive. Did anyone go through the code to check that it doesn't do anything malicious?

I'll take that as a compliment Wink

But as far as I know, nobody has done so. The Python code is long (approaching 4k lines mostly in a single file) and complicated, and "evolved" into its current somewhat messy state (as opposed to being well planned out, sorry...).

However I did write some "extract" scripts that are short and fairly easy to understand documented here: https://github.com/gurnec/btcrecover/blob/master/extract-scripts/README.md. The idea was that you could run one of the extract scripts directly on your wallet file, copy/paste the base64-encoded results into a VM w/o network access, and then not worry about what btcrecover might do with it (assuming you read and understood the short extract script). At worst, it could waste a bunch of CPU/GPU time, but at least it couldn't steal you wallet.

Of course, all that only really helps if you're already somewhat of a "techie" who knows how to set up a VM. I suspect that many people who choose to run btcrecover are not techies, and are putting themselves at risk (speaking as objectively as I can, of course as the code monkey who wrote it, I claim it's perfectly safe Smiley ).

I recommend you to to write a dedicated post for your tool, I think it deserves it!

I agree it is a fantastic piece of work!

Roll Eyes.........When is the shareholder's meeting?  That will help any pain I have endured from my loss.    I say we all jump on a google hangout and get a pre-meeting going.  oh yeah and 550 FREAKIN Satoshis!!!

Hi Jasun, what shareholder's meeting is this you mention?
 Huh
94  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] Official Shareholder Discussion Thread [Moderated] on: June 04, 2014, 08:50:05 PM
So company liabilities as we know them:

70k in fines to MSD
100k in enforced reimbursements to shareholders (if only 2Millon shares are reimbursed @ 0.05cents)
3Mill in pre-orders to be returned

possible liabilities:

SEC fine of around 100k? With possible enforced cessation of trading.
WoodLaw consumer case to include the above 3Mill above additional court fines and legal costs of 100k

So the total here is around 3.27 Million dollars?
Once Ken pays that out we will then and only then be able to start investing in chips and machines. If Ken doesn't have well inexcess of 3.27Mill USD then the company will fold due to lack of funds. So it looks like the company will fold.

Doesn't this ruling mean Ken can no longer pay dividends or have anything to do with unregistered securities? For any dividdends to be paid the shares need to become registered - that needs adding to the costs above.

Stuart, I mean Minerpart oh in this instance I mean kokoarm....

As Kleek and others have pointed out if you're insistent on continually announcing facts and figures please show some backing to these "claims".

Update: 12-May-2014"

This is old and pre Bankruptcy proceedings.

The rest is your opinion and not fact.
96  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] Official Shareholder Discussion Thread [Moderated] on: June 04, 2014, 10:56:41 AM
Thank you for actually taking the time to reply properly Kokoarm.

At present there are ~300 coins in the mining address a 50/50 split at current value covers the cost of the maximum fine and dividends (which I for one am not interested in yet).
I cannot imagine the fine being immediate though.

More importantly though do you have any references to the fact that Hashfast will be using Peppermining and not ActM?

I just want to see the impartial truth and bigger picture, not just rely on the mob mentality clearly visible here.

Thank you

There is no money left is why its over. Just read what ken said - the mining funds will pay the fine and what is left will be to fund future development. So that means we have 60 coins left. Ah but Ken also told refund customers that mined coins will pay their refunds. So we are totally broke now. And HashFast our last chance are going with PepperMinimg not us. Kens rep is the reason for that, he is too much risk even for them. Finally Ken doesnt want this company to succeed and he never has because he has enough coin in his personal wallet to make his life very comfortable.

If you don't mind expanding on that, that would be great.
98  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] Official Shareholder Discussion Thread [Moderated] on: June 04, 2014, 07:03:53 AM
Please no sarcastic answers, I think the majority of us aren't in the mood...

What exactly has changed?

We knew there was an ongoing MSD investigation, this has now been concluded which in my eyes is good news and only a fine levied.

Surely this puts us in a better position than before as we don't have that dark cloud over us?

We knew about Kens "old" businesses, these have been bought up time and time again throughout the course of this endeavour.

I honestly don't understand how one sensationalist news article has managed to bring the price down so low, whereby the position hasn't actually changed all that much the past few days.

Is there something extremely obvious that I'm missing in all of this?  Huh
99  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] Official Shareholder Discussion Thread [Moderated] on: May 21, 2014, 10:21:12 AM
No, because I don't believe he did.

It's just typical ActM Thread users twisting of words, believing what's not been said and then getting disappointed when their distorted reality doesn't come to fruition I'm afraid.....

You should be patient.   Ken will likely wait until today's deadline has expired then do the last ones together.

Can anyone point to where Ken said divs will be paid toady?  I have only read him say that divs will be paid AFTER the 21st May.

100  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] Official Shareholder Discussion Thread [Moderated] on: May 18, 2014, 07:28:46 PM
I appreciate your prompt response Ken, thank you.

I look forward to seeing what this could be.

We are working on something else more important.
