Trying to decide how many of my shares I want to keep for trading and how many to stake for interest in my wallet.
Has there been any word on transaction fees for GSX? I'd like to send my staked coins to my wallet in multiple chunks, but a high transaction fee could reduce how many chunks I use.
There is no fee required, but using a fee of 0.0001 helps ensure that your transaction receives priority processing. |

I personally didn't buy any, and there is why:
1) Dev, if you are able to implement voting into the wallet, why didn't you do it in the first place? I would prefer bittrex to inspect functionality of it rather then basic CP wallet with no features.
2) Why do you need ICO funds? Can't you generate yourself say 2-3% and ask bittrex to place buy back order with the ICO price thus greatly boosting investor's confidence. (They would get their fees anyway)
3) You say you would need 4 weeks for voting implementation, being here for a while can tell you for sure: FUDers, Quick-proffiters and Whiners will destroy the price in a week
They only person I can see gaining here in ICO fund controller, which is you...
P.S. Not FUDding, just explaining why I do not see it as a great investment opportunity.
1) I wasn't sure if anyone was even interested in decentralized blockchain voting. The ICO was first and foremost a method of measuring the interest level. 2) Not sure what you are asking here, but the funds are going to be used to support and stabilize the price. 3) I personally don't think it's that long to wait for what is being offered, but to each their own. Existing implementations of blockchain voting (such as Heavycoin) are much too different in vision and execution, so I will be coding it from scratch, which takes a bit longer than just copy/pasting a feature that another coin already has. |

I have had a small stake in 2 ICO's so far and made a reasonable profit from them. Invested .8 BTC in this one, my largest investment so far, it looks promising.
I wasn't sure if people would recognize a genuine ICO in the sea of scams, but clearly some do! Thanks for having faith in the project and me. |

I'm in as well. But as others have said I would really like to see this in a modded thread. logic and reason and well writen posts mean nothing to massive fud. Just look at what happened to DarkShibe. a large miner dump and then massive fud. went from 20,000 at the end of October and stting around 300 now.
The open thread is definitely the weak link by far and should be addressed.
If it comes to that, I have no problem locking this thread and creating a moderated one. It's entirely possible that you are correct. But until it's necessary, troll slaying is going pretty well and I'm having a lot of fun doing it. Their intentions might be malicious, but it gives me an opportunity to show everyone how I deal with "bumps in the road." At least for now, it's a blessing in disguise. That's actually nice, with so many coins destroyed price will go up like crazy Distributing ICO's proportionally between all buyers ends up with early buyers being surprise diluted by last day buyers. Nice to see I'm not the only one who appreciates this more fair method. Don't forget that instead of using potentially dangerous "burning" techniques to remove coins from the supply, we are using a method that doesn't require anyone to trust that they will be properly destroyed. Unsold coins never even touch the blockchain! This launch was very carefully planned, with much attention paid to even the smallest details. |

With Regards to the price i reckon we drive it up to 750k+ satoshis  I know you are just kidding around, but in all seriousness, I will make every effort to support the price. It's an open market and I can't control what people do, so no promises, but I'm treating this as a long term business and have money saved up from previously developing software. In an effort to be transparent, I wanted to at least mention this part of the plan, but I don't expect anyone to believe it until they see it. this is defo a step in making the world a little bit more honest for everyone which realistically is far better than profit . I can see huge potential on the horizon after people see what is being done here .#GSX Maybe we can innovate and profit at the same time. Anyone with the guts to trade crytocurrency (especially altcoins!) deserve to be paid. I can take care of the code– but the people in the community, ideas, feedback/discussions, marketing, and traders are all just as important, if not more. |

I agree. I can honestly say this is the first time I have ever been excited to vote. I'm glad you mentioned your excitement to vote, that was something I put a lot of thought into. Votes being limited by coin supply allows everyone to feel as if their vote matters, which it actually does. If the required number of coins to vote is too low, each individual vote wouldn't feel as important. |

Got me myself some coins today.
Expecting some more btc comming in and will hopefully be in time to get some more coins before the ICO closes.
@dev already have some ideas about future developments, but won't spoil them as of jet. Don't want someone else to snatch them before it can be included into GlowShares
I'm excited to get started and can't wait to see all of the great ideas everyone submits. Keep in mind that in order to keep the system fair, Glowshares will need to be staking in the wallet in order to make submissions and vote– otherwise it can be gamed. The amount of GSX necessary for these actions will be determined based on the total number of coins that are sold and where the price seems to be stabilizing. I'm still crunching numbers trying to figure out a good ratio, but the general idea is to keep the number reasonable enough that a lot of people can participate, while keeping it expensive enough to make it unattractive/not feasible to manipulate. I'm open to any suggestions. |

Why should I invest in this coin? Other than the obvious fact of blockchain voting and a very active competent dev?
Serious innovation here that will pioneer huge economic benefits for future voting systems around the world especially in places like africa where political voting is all rigged/flawed and built on backhanders . #giving back to the people who need it most .#GSX .

That's the beauty of open source! I want the decentralized voting to be used and improved by other projects, especially if it can have a real-world impact like you described. Vote fraud and lack of transparency is rampant everywhere: business, internet, politics, you name it. I see Glowshares voting as a proof of concept. Our use of it is fairly mundane compared to the possibilities, but that will change once we prove it works. |

So, about the wallet that Bittrex will be "verifying", will it have any novel features on release, or will it be just another clone?
Voting features will take 4 weeks, maybe less. Nothing special will be available at launch, other than an extremely visually appealing wallet, just like this thread. Can you give us some examples of what you are thinking about as developments that coin-holders can vote on, otherwise it all seems like vapourware. And how does your coin interact with 'the internet of things'?
I sure hope my ideas are not the only ones. That would defeat the entire purpose of the coin. I think you'll find that Memorycoin was the first coin to have voting built-in.
I don't see any decentralized, trustless voting on their Github, so either it's another centralized solution, or it's closed source. Either way, that's not what we are doing here. You don't want to have to trust anyone, you want to know that the blockchain will follow the protocols set in place and that no one can get in the way of that. |

If I think of any ideas for GlowCoin, such as developments to vote on in the future, can I post them here?
Posting ideas here is fine for now, but the goal is to decentralize it in the blockchain and make it available in-wallet, just like voting. Putting everything in the wallet will help encourage staking, which improves the networks security. |
