81  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: *Close*Want to Borrow 6th Generation Processor 1151 Slot on: December 27, 2017, 10:39:10 AM
how long do you figure you can run the cpu without a heatsink before it dies?

I've seen chips last less than 30 seconds before...

where are you shipping from?

Shipping from NH If I remember right you are in CA. Might not be worth it. But up to you.  I am going to use a heat sink just not the one it comes with since the one currently install on the mother board already has thermal paste on it. Did not want to ruin the thermal paste on the new heatsink for bios configuring.

does this mean you've an extra cpu?

i'd snag that off ya, if you do...

The processor I bought was an Intel CPU BX80662G3900 Celeron G3900 2.80Ghz 2M LGA1151 2C/2T Skylake. it should let me upgrade my bios can I can use the G4400.

It would be basically brand new since I am only going to use it for like 10 minuets LOL wont even use the fan so the thermal paste should be good. Whats your offer?

depends on if it breaks or not :p

they run what 50$ retail?

Yea I picked it up on amazon for 50.50 but could have gotten it for like 43. But that seller wouldn't have had it here for like a week and a half. Don't see a reason why it would break. It better not break I will be freaking pissed. Even if it did I paid for the 2 year full replacement or money back warranty for 99 cents LOL and full refund in 30 days so if you don't want it I will just return it since I wont need it.

85  Economy / Computer hardware / *Close*Want to Borrow 6th Generation Processor 1151 Slot on: December 26, 2017, 08:33:31 PM
Good afternoon All,

Alittle back story. So I bought a MSI Z170A SLI Plus Motherboard and G4400 Processor PSU Combo from a user on here.  The User bought the mother board and processor and never used them. Come to find out when he purchased them he only read that the G400 would work but didn't read were the processor would only work after a certain dated motherboard  which comes with the newest BIOS or you need to update the older boards with the new bios.  Of course the mother board he bought didn't have the updated BIOS and needs to be upgraded. To do this you need to have a 6th generation 1151 Slot processor which I don't have laying around.

So here where you guys and gals come in. I don't have a 6th generation 1151 slot processor laying around and I was wanting to see if any one around the North Eastern US would happen to let me borrow one for a day so I can do the upgrade and use the processor I purchased.

Or If any one else has ideas I am open to all besides just buying another processor.

My trust should be proof enough to borrow a processor for a day and return it. I will pay for shipping of course.

If your open to this or have any great Ideas let me know ether through here or a PM doesn't matter.

OH and just to weed out the scammers that say they have a processor send me the shipping. Unless your Green trusted I will not pay shipping until processor is received. Depending on trust I would like to see some proof of processor as well.

Said screw it and bought one off amazon.

Thanks

Greetings,
Mr. Tues.

With what browser do you try to open the site ?!
We have not had such a complaint so far ...

Best regards!
The team of: check-coin.com

If I open it in chrome regularly it does not load. Just sits there and try's to load.(waited 10 minuets) IfI open in chrome incognito it loads a wallet more than a store. I don't understand if it is a poor attempt or a failure in translation.

Ether way good luck with what ever it is your trying to post about.

whos mountaingoat?  im looking for that, too!

He is a user online try searching his name but he only had one I think.

Be careful buying this online.   Many keys being sold at low prices are often carded.

Very Very True. But as always this seems like the ongoing theme with [purchasing anything with bitcoin you gotta watch what you buy and from whom.

The whole 21 days before shipping using paypal reeks of scam.

Definitely because that is the timeframe that Paypal waits before releasing the money to a new account.

Just order your cards from a tried and true source.

Idk how it will turn to be with this guys, just testing for now, but one thing:
I'm sick of these 'tried and true sources' they are everything other than 'true', they play dirty games with us whenever they can. They sell gpus for far higher than the official prices and do not care about anything other than their very short term interests. So, IF this is not a scam and needs some space , why shouldn't we give'm a chance?

Yea for sure report back with how the deal goes and provide some proofs please I would really like to buy some gpu's at these prices. Even then still on edge I mean you could be a clone of them not saying you are at all but in general it could happen,

93  Economy / Computer hardware / *Closed*Motherboard CPU PSU Combo on: December 17, 2017, 01:39:13 AM
Trying to dip my foot into GPU mining. Seems my extra setups are a little to old to use so I am looking for a upgrade. Does not need to be super Fancy just something that will get the job done. Only have a couple of older GPU's all Nivda's but they will turn a profit.

So if you have something extra your willing to part with let me know and a price would like to stay under 150 bucks worth of BTC. Must be a trusted user. So no newbies here. Shipping to 03582 price should include shipping.

Thanks

Found some thanks for looking!

96  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: What you got for about $200? can i get a power supply etc too? on: December 09, 2017, 07:52:04 PM
Yeah i was wanting to begin kinda slow as low funds.  Also thought someone on here could have something they just wanted to sell too.  THanks for your help.  I thought the fans would be kinda loud or others say they are.  So the s5's have built in controllers do the s7's too?  Some of them look good but then don't come with power supply to so that's another hundred and puts everything in a different cost perspective of i could get something better for same money with one. Smiley Grin

S5 and s7 have there owner controller. Don't think you have to buy a expensive power supply. All my power supply's are like 10 to 20 bucks bucks off amazon. Just 1000 watt server PSU. or 1200 watt server PSU.

The fans on the s7 and s5 are kinda loud but I have mine turned down to around 25% on the s7 and 35% on the s5's. I also don't max out the miners ether so they last longer. My s7's are running around 3.7 ths and s5's around 900 ghs to 1.2ths. Temps on the s5's are lower 50's during the day below at night and s7's hover around mid 60's.
97  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: What you got for about $200? can i get a power supply etc too? on: December 09, 2017, 07:29:51 PM
Ok so you are using a pool?  i was just thinking something that didn't use as many watts and or one that does good mining but more used.  Do you have a fan problem with your? I did see a gridseed but i guess they would be ok to begin with.

I used to be in pool mining but I switch to another coin that I could solo mine.So I put up a local pool and solo mine the coins with my 2 s5's and 2 s7's.

I do have some fan issues but nothing that causes the miners any harm on the s7's The logs just say it cant control the speed of one fan but it is still cooling just fine. You can find some good equipment for 200 bucks just need to watch for people selling it. It goes quick. Every one know on here what the prices should be and some of the long time users sell there used equipment fairly priced. Just have to watch for it.
98  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: What you got for about $200? can i get a power supply etc too? on: December 09, 2017, 07:14:59 PM
for $200 anything you buy is purely educational and gonna lose you money to run.

I don't understand why most users say that. I bought a couple of s5's and a S7 for 550 a few months ago they have already paid for them self's and then some. It just all depends on what you mine and how you use the profit. But Most of my mining power is free so that helps a lot as well.
99  Economy / Computer hardware / WTB S7 Hashing Board on: December 08, 2017, 05:52:05 PM
Just like the topic says I am looking for a hashing board. Hopefully fairly priced and nothing retarded please shipping will be to 03582. Please include shipping in the price. The S7 has 45 chips per board don't know if that matters or not. Here is a link of the bad board I am replacing http://prntscr.com/hkw78c
100  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Lease to Own Miner Opportunity on: December 08, 2017, 05:44:41 PM
I still think some folks make a lot reselling nonetheless may not want to mine and in such cases may consider a lease to own opportunity where the leaser would agree to a higher price per unit and specific payment terms that benefit the seller... I was just throwing the topic and idea around as I figured this is a fairly strong market and a young one at that that can take lease to own as a possible side option to out right purchase units. Seeing how expensive some of S9 units are going for on amazon and ebay it is a win win for both parties given the right buyer and seller. This may not fit conventional resellers but perhaps some have thought about it. Much like loaning money to a business this is similar but specific to hardware, "hardware financing with a twist per say".

Feedback welcomed...

Honestly I like the idea. I would love the opportunity to rent to own a miner since I am a hobbyist miner it would work out great. As long as the pricing wasn't over inflated.  There could be all sort of ways to do it. Full mining payment per month until the cost plus % was paid off or a percentage of mining profits paid out for the life of the miner if say it was hosted buy the person leasing out the equipment to others. There are all sort of ways to do it.

The only problem is profitability and price fluctuation in bitcoin price and what if the hardware was a bad batch and burn due to no ones fault. There would have to be legal contracts made up to cover the purchasers liability so if it the hardware failed the leaser had to pay any ways. Unless a warranty claim was still available. Which could take weeks or months to get the unit back in service.

I would love to do something like this with some one at some point. One of my S7's is starting to show signs of failing and I am going to have to upgrade or fix a hashing board here shortly. Would be nice to upgrade to a s9 but the prices are just to retarded to even think about something like that.
