81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Warning! Bug on Cryptsy, coins lost!! on: June 27, 2013, 11:57:33 PM
I think people are just hypervigilant due to the number of exchanges that have suddenly closed or been broken in to.

Googled btcd, second link: https://opensource.conformal.com/wiki/btcd

At the bottom are the links to all the live code repositories for the various subprojects.

Damn, I'm tired from all that hard work Wink.

I'm aware of and have been watching the releases of the core packages.

My original, mildly tongue in cheek, question to gweedo was about btcd in it's entirety, considering that it hasn't been officially released.

It starts with "goo" and ends with "gle".

I don't think google will help me there as btcd hasn't been fully released yet.

89  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can I buy LTC? on: June 25, 2013, 08:32:03 AM
Just make sure you check the exchange fees and especially withdrawal fees when you consider an exchange.
90  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Process for Exchange Acceptance on: June 25, 2013, 06:46:02 AM
Anyone have an inside view into the process before a coin is accepted into an exchange?

What due diligence is there?

And I hear they have a number of billionaires.
94  Economy / Speculation / Re: Good time to buy BTC? on: June 25, 2013, 03:28:40 AM
China: Once the Chinese get on board in large numbers -- the price will be unstoppable.

I don't understand why people think this. The average hourly wage in China is about $2 an hour. How will they ever manage to find any money to buy bitcoins when one bitcoin is 50 hours of work?

China has over a million millionaires.

98  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can I have more than 1 computer per worker ? on: June 24, 2013, 08:39:37 AM
Of course, using my address could be simple, but do I get my total mining power, and other infos then?

Each address has a separate graph.

Example:

99  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can I have more than 1 computer per worker ? on: June 24, 2013, 08:33:42 AM
sure. it should work using the same credentials on multiple machines.

You do however loose the ability to identify individual machines that are offline/broken/etc that way. You also don't get individual worker stats either.

Wouldn't p2pool with unique addresses work?
100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Forking Alt-coins on: June 24, 2013, 08:06:51 AM
Yep, they cant use github.

Too bad.

This decision will make fixing bugs that are discovered in bitcoin/litecoin far slower and more error prone.
Don't worry, no copycoin 'dev' ever planned to fix bugs anyway

Good point.
