No, the asset issuers get lists sent to them every 12 hours, so if you're in the list, you're good to go.  This does suck somewhat if you made a trade in the meantime so I have been exploring other options for users to be able to prove trades using the emails that get sent out.  Basically will require the site to gpg sign trade emails I suspect.

What I haven't figured out yet is how to give you a gpg signed copy of your trade that the issuer could use as a diff against their copy of the asset holders.  For them to be able to use it, the copy of your trade would need to have both your account and the other user's account in the trade data.  I can't really send out info about the other user, so that's kind of where I'm stuck right now.

Cheers.

Ah. Thanks for the clarification. What would be the problem with sending an updated list to an asset holder after every trade involving his or her asset?

You need to have Javascript enabled, and click on the sign up / login buttons.

I'm probably losing more visitors to this than people who would be turned off from registering with a captcha Tongue

Interesting. I basically just wanted to be able to click around and check out the site from the user perspective. I may have even already created an account a few weeks ago and forgot about it. BTW, what are the differences in the types of investments that are made with CoinLenders when compared to BTCInvest?

There is no CAPTCHA showing up on the page. Perhaps you are in the process of adding this right now?

what will happen in case of domain seizure? are you on multiple servers?

It's not a .com, so in theory the US shouldn't seize it.

The site's spread across multiple servers, but not multiple geographic locations.

The servers are backed up offsite frequently.  But honestly, if they're seized by the gov't wherever they're located, we have bigger problems than getting back online and at that point issuers are most likely going to need to use their regularly issued asset holder lists to transition to another site.

Let's hope it never comes to that, and we'll do everything we can to avoid it, but you never know.

Cheers.

How would I go about proving ownership of certain stocks if the site was taken down? Is there something in my account that I should be downloading on a regular basis?

are you able to tell if the amount being bet on satoshidice has declined since they closed their operations to americans?

Look at the slope of the red line.  When it's steep, lots is being bet.  When it's flat, nothing is being bet.

looks like i needed to be on my laptop instead of my phone to see that. i'm guess that number is just the expected 1.9% edge on the bets placed each day?

I can't believe it's still down after all this time and no updates

Not sure if serious.
88  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Asset Exchange Marketplace + Rewritable Options Trading on: May 27, 2013, 12:43:43 AM

I've pressured Ukyo repeatedly to allow on-site accounts for Bitfunder. I think he's cracking, but I can't be sure Wink

What is his reasoning for keeping the integration with Weexchange?

So glad that we finally have a stable alternative to Mt Gox.
90  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Asset Exchange Marketplace + Rewritable Options Trading on: May 26, 2013, 09:04:22 PM
There is no reason for Weexchange to be a required funding source by BitFunder. It takes them over 12 hours just to send you an email to verify your account. Their customer support is basically non-existent. This is the main reason I prefer BTC-TC over BitFunder, and I am sure that I am not the only one.

I'm starting to think there will still be people in this thread wondering why the site hasn't launched yet a few months from now.

I got the odds at the site launching within 24 hours at 20 to 1.

have any shareholder been informed about what's going on in here? two days after the weekend and still no news. i'm starting to worry.

Starting to worry here too. Five missed promises is ok, but six is where I draw the line.
96  Economy / Securities / Re: S.DICE - SatoshiDICE 100% Dividend-Paying Asset on MPEx on: May 16, 2013, 08:35:37 PM
Are there plans to expand satoshi dice into other casino games? I feel like there is an opportunity to expand with other games before another online casino pops up with more options. S.dice is the most popular place to bet Bitcoin, but that could change rather quickly if they do not start to offer more gaming options.
97  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Asset Exchange Marketplace + Rewritable Options Trading on: May 10, 2013, 06:43:19 PM

All users are having the same issue. WeExchange is not processing any deposits or withdrawals properly for the last 10-15 hours.

I never really understood why using weexchange was a requirement in the first place.
98  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Satoshi Dice -- Statistical Analysis on: May 02, 2013, 08:33:56 PM
I am trying to figure out what the dividend should be for April, but I am running into different numbers in different places. The Google Docs spreadsheet says the profits for shareholders for April was 466.8455515763, but the MPEX website says total dividends of 1`795.55981337 will be paid. What factor am I missing here and where does that 1`795.55981337 number come from?

I'm very sure you didn't read Milton Friedman ideas  Angry
Then you will find that the coin mining should be privatized and centralized.

i agree. he was not an advocate of competing currencies. i'm really just talking about his automatic 3% per year idea here.
100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / milton friedman coin? on: May 02, 2013, 02:58:53 AM
has anyone thought of creating a coin that follows milton friedman's train of thought when it comes to monetary policy? his idea was to have a computer increase the money supply by 3% each year forever. some people would probably prefer this kind of policy on the creation of money rather than capping the total number of coins at a certain amount. just wanted to know if this has been discussed here. thanks.
